Corey Caplette shared thisThank you to Marco Echeverria and Simon Chapman for organizing a packed day of Optimizely CMS 13 training on their World Tour. 🙌 Online training is convenient, but there is no substitute for spending time together, having a chance to ask questions, and talking through how we can apply the latest CMS 13 features in our work. Doing it at the Ritz-Carlton in Boston did not hurt either. 💎 Team Velir is officially Optimizely Sales certified. Congrats to Diane O'Connell, Kevin Schofield, Dan Murphy and the rest of the crew.

Corey Caplette shared thisHappy 25th, Sitecore! 25 years is several lifetimes in digital. Platforms change. Approaches change. Acronyms definitely change. But arriving back from SUGCON Europe in London last week, what stands out most to me when thinking about Sitecore’s Silver anniversary is not just the technology. It is the community around it. I had a serendipitous surprise waiting for me when I arrived back home. My Sitecore Ambassador MVP award, celebrating my 17th year as a member of the MVP community, was on my doorstep. I’ve been lucky to spend a meaningful part of my career at Velir working in the Sitecore ecosystem, building with it, learning through it, helping customers make sense of what’s next, and reconnecting again and again with people who are generous with their time, sharp in their thinking, and deeply committed to making digital experiences better. That was the feeling in London at this year’s SUGCON Europe. Familiar faces, new acquaintances, engaging conversations, honest debates, and that rare conference energy that is unique to a community-organized event (especially rare for a proprietary technology platform). While I’m allowing myself to be nostalgic, I want to send a special thanks to Tamas Varga, who has played an instrumental role in keeping the Sitecore community vibrant over the past 10 years. Tamas was first a peer as an agency CTO and later became a partner when he joined Sitecore as a Technical Evangelist and then Community Manager, a role he has led brilliantly and with real humility. As Tamas nears retirement this year and prepares to quite literally sail off into the sunset, it feels fitting to celebrate him as a critical piece of the Sitecore story. His approach and contributions embody what good partnership looks like. So congratulations to Sitecore on 25 years. The platform has evolved enormously from its CMS roots to today’s AI-enabled digital experience platform. The technology is better than ever, but to me the best part of the story is still the same: customers, partners, practitioners, and community members all pushing each other to innovate and write the next chapter. #SitecoreSilver

Corey Caplette liked thisCorey Caplette liked thisOh, what a night. Actually, oh, what a week. I’m likely going to upset a few people when I say this, but I think this might have been the best SKO I’ve attended. And that is saying something, considering we did not do it in the round or open with Thunderstruck on violin. Right, Caryn? The production value was top-notch, and I would expect nothing less from our amazing events team - Marissa, Brooke, and Linda. And Stephanie, who ran this thing like a boss. But what made the week so incredibly strong was the content - from the mainstage to the breakouts. It was sharp, useful, and grounded in what is actually happening in the market. IMO, Chris Andrew was the standout. He helped us make sense of how quickly search is changing, what it means for our customers, and why this moment matters so much. And in doing so, I was struck by how prescient he and Robert MacCloy were when they founded Scrunch just about two years ago. Two years. Who knew? Chris and Rob did. There was so much more, of course: big ideas, pitch presentations, a little bit of rodeo, and, in my case, a ballgown with boots. But what I’ll remember most is how much fun we had together, how many people brought their very best, and how proud I felt watching it all come together. Thankfully, I get to relive at least some of it through this reel. Twenty-five years in, this was certainly not our first rodeo, but it might have been the best.

Have you ever wondered why some spaces leave you calm and focused, while others leave you anxious or drained? Neuroscience is starting to answer that question. Neurospatial design is an emerging field linking brain science, health, and the built environment. It's reshaping how we think about workplaces, hospitals, schools, and homes. Our new Giving Smarter Guide, produced with The Pedersen Foundation, outlines four philanthropic priorities to bring this field's potential to life: evidence generation, talent pipelines, cross-sector integration, and public awareness. Corey Caplette reacted on thisCorey Caplette reacted on thisLast week in Dallas was a great reminder of why I love what I do. Spending time with an incredible team, colleagues, partners, and customers reinforced the opportunity in front of us Sitecore... The investments we've made in technology, and the strategic decisions that are positioning us for what's next. One conversation really stuck with me. I was asked what I truly enjoy most and where I feel I make the biggest impact. The answer came pretty easily... building high-performing teams and helping create an environment where people can grow in their careers and reach levels they didn't think were possible. Watching people thrive is what makes it all worth it. When you bring great people together around a single vision and give them the support and most importantly the trust to succeed, incredible things happen. A HUGE congratulations to Soraly Kernohan and Liz Lyons for going to President's Club!!! 🏆💪🌴 I'm excited for the year ahead and grateful to be on this journey with such a world-class team: Tim Hackenberg Liz Lyons Soraly Kernohan Lauren Palmacci David Brown Michael Bane Olivia DeCoste Kirsten Stenzel 💪

Corey Caplette liked thisCorey Caplette liked thisLast week was the highlight of my career (so far). I had the incredible privilege of hosting our FY27 Sales Kick Off in Dallas. Being in a room with the colleagues I work with every day, celebrating everything we accomplished over the last year while looking ahead to what’s next from a completely different perspective, is something I will never forget. A consistent message kept coming up throughout the week: push yourself to be brilliant, every day. If there is one thing this experience reinforced for me, it is the power of saying yes to the opportunities that scare you. Stepping so far outside of my comfort zone ended up being one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. I plan to embody that as much as I can as we go in to FY27. Thank you, Dave Tilbury , for trusting me with this opportunity. I am incredibly proud of everything the Sitecore team accomplished this past year, and even more excited for what is ahead. Michelle Boockoff-Bajdek , thank you for nearly a decade of believing in me, challenging me, and putting me in positions to learn and grow. Your mentorship has shaped so much of who I am, and I will always be grateful for your support. Here’s to pushing ourselves to be brilliant every single day. Let’s go, Sitecore!!

In August, I'll be moving on to support a community close to my heart; as a throat cancer survivor, I'm proud to step into the role of Chief Staff Officer for Operations with The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). SLP's have helped me with my dysphagia, xerostomia, and the effects of radiation fibrosis, and I'm honored to work on their behalf. We've done some amazing things in my time at AGU, and I want to thank my staff and colleagues for their hard work, support, and care during my tenure. I know you all will continue to impress!

Corey Caplette reacted on thisCorey Caplette reacted on thisSome news: my role at Sitecore was eliminated last week as part of a company-wide reduction in force, after a little over four years leading industry strategy for healthcare and utilities. I'm sharing this plainly and without much editorializing because I think how we talk about job loss matters more than most companies' PR teams want it to. It also happens to land at an interesting moment. My book, The Agentic Loop, argues that silence and unstructured content are functionally invisible to AI — that the work you don't surface, structure, or say out loud might as well not exist. I've made that case to a lot of enterprise leaders. I hadn't yet made it about myself. So here's something I haven't shared publicly: for months, I've been building Clever Parties—what I think of as an emotionally intelligent operating system—designed to do one hard thing well: read intent from almost nothing. Two tools are already live. Give the drink-pairing tool a stray phrase, "Costco rotisserie chicken," and it doesn't look up a pairing — it infers the occasion, the informality, the mood, and surfaces a wine choice with the reasoning attached. Give the easy-appetizer tool one run-on sentence about a backyard golf party for 20, and it extracts the headcount, setting, and time of day, then hands back a personalized plan. No forms. No dropdowns. Both are early pieces of something bigger: a full party-planning app, still in beta, that takes the same intent-reading and extends it into an entire event. More on that soon. Parties are just the domain I picked because I could watch every inference clearly and cheaply. The underlying question travels: a hospital intake form, a hotel guest profile, a bank's onboarding flow, a retailer's product finder — all of it is the same challenge in different clothes. Can a system read intent from a few unstructured words the way a good host reads a room, and act on it correctly? None of the last four years happened alone — thank you to the Sitecore colleagues who made it good work: the sales reps, partners, and teams I got to build alongside. That part I'm genuinely going to miss. That's the question I've spent two years asking enterprise clients. I'm now looking at what's next, and I'm particularly drawn to organizations building agentic AI as core infrastructure — in healthcare, hospitality, financial services, retail, wherever the same problem shows up — rather than as a bolted-on feature. If that's the work you're doing, I'd welcome the conversation.

Google retired FID and introduced INP to measure responsiveness across all interactions for page load; not just the first one. This was part of its Core Web Vitals 2.0 update. On the surface, this update is supposed to be about improving user experience. Here’s the bigger question: Is Core Web Vitals 2.0 really just about UX or is Google streamlining performance signals to speed up indexation and make content more consumable for AI-powered features? Either way, the takeaway is clear: fast, responsive content matters for people, for search engines, and potentially for AI systems deciding what to cite.
