Adeline Ashley’s Post

Two months ago, I shared that the day before I was laid off, I was in a car accident. This community's response meant more than I can say. Many of you reached out to ask how I was doing—and what I'd do next. Since then, I’ve been recovering, regrouping, and building. Today, I can finally show you what. I’m launching Clever Parties—an AI-powered party-planning experience that begins with how you want your gathering to feel and turns that intention into a complete, actionable plan. Most planning tools ask for guest count, budget, theme, and “vibe”—selected from a dropdown. But “an intimate Mediterranean evening for twelve” isn’t just a theme. It’s an intention. It tells us how the host wants people to feel and how the event should unfold. Clever Parties starts there. Tell it what you’re imagining. It asks a few questions, interprets the intention, and creates the party: menu, drinks, atmosphere, a signature moment, checklist, and timeline. Party planning is the use case. Understanding what someone actually means—and turning it into trusted action—is the much larger opportunity. Clever Parties is also the real-world application of The Agentic Loop, my framework for building AI experiences that observe, decide, act, and learn. I had the vision, but bringing it to life required the right technical partner. Matt D. of My Pub Marketing helped architect and build the application, work through the logic, and refine the experience as it evolved. Thank you, Matt, for helping turn an idea into something people can actually use. This is the work I want to lead at enterprise scale: moving beyond websites people must navigate and chatbots that simply respond, toward experiences that understand intent and act on it. If your organization is rethinking conversational AI and digital experience, I’d love to talk. And if you have a party to plan, try Clever Parties at www.cleverparties.com. Two months ago, I didn’t know exactly what came next. So I started building it.
