PSG became the #1 user of Raiser’s Edge on the planet in only 3 years. Here’s what we learned in 7 years of helping nonprofits raise hundreds of millions of dollars… 👉 Advancement teams aren’t struggling because they lack skills. 👉 They’re struggling because their systems force them to spend more time clicking than connecting. And when you’re a large nonprofit processing thousands of gifts, the cracks emerge quickly: -Acknowledgments delayed -Pledges unfulfilled -New donors go unrecognized -Fundraisers feel like they’re working to support the software, when it should be the other way around That’s why we built AutomateGenius. It’s our automation solution designed specifically for Raiser’s Edge NXT. It handles all the time-consuming, back-office tasks so that your team can: ✅ Thank donors instantly ✅ Stay on top of pledges & recurring gifts ✅ Delight your NEW donors ✅ Keep data clean without babysitting it ✅ Stop settling for clunky, time-consuming processes Basically, we built the dream tool that our team needed to manage millions of Raiser's Edge records for our clients. And then we opened it up for the world to use. Now, nonprofits using AutomateGenius aren’t just saving dozens of hours each week, they’re raising more money with fewer headaches. Because when the busywork is gone, your team can finally do the work that really matters. If you’ve ever wished your database worked for you (instead of the other way around), let’s talk.

Last week I shared our 10-year journey. Today, I'm sharing what we built along the way. Introducing Fundex: The platform that turns fundraising from art to science. After thousands of VC conversations and $1.5B+ raised, we coded our entire playbook into one platform. Not another CRM. Not another database. The actual infrastructure investment bankers use to close deals—now accessible to founders and fund managers. Here's what changes when you have the right tools: Traditional approach: Email 150 investors, get ghosted by 145 Fundex approach: Target 50 qualified investors, get 11 responses Traditional data: Stale LinkedIn searches and outdated lists Fundex data: Real-time intel from PitchBook, ZoomInfo, Preqin—plus thousands of insights from actual analyst and founder calls Traditional process: Spray, pray, hope Fundex process: Track, optimize, close Here's the difference: Every time our analysts talk to an investor, those insights get added to their profile. Every founder call, every partner preference, every investment thesis shift—captured and searchable. One client's transformation: Week 1: 3% response rate with old process Week 4: 28.5% response rate with Fundex Week 16: Term sheet signed The platform delivers: • Weekly curated investor lists (enhanced by 10 years of call notes) • Bi-weekly strategy sessions with our bankers • Real-time campaign analytics (know what's working) • Verified contact data (updated after every interaction) We're not disrupting investment banking. We're democratizing it. The tools that helped close $38M rounds this year—including our proprietary investor intelligence—now available at $2,500/month. But here's the thing: We're only onboarding 50 founders this quarter. Why? Because infrastructure without guidance is just expensive software. Each founder gets: - Personal onboarding with our team - Custom playbook based on your vertical - Direct access to our investment bankers - The exact process we use internally After 10 years of manually collecting this intelligence, it's time to scale what works. The future of fundraising isn't about who you know. It's about knowing what actually moves the needle with each investor. [LONG POST] Are you working at a #nonprofit and juggle a lot: managing donors, intrrnal teams, organizing events, coordinating volunteers, and running campaigns. I know it start to feel O-V-E-R-W-H-E-L-M-I-N-G, especially when you’re using multiple tools for different tasks. That’s where HubSpot comes in. Allow me to give you some tactical examples and how it impacts your organization. 1. Easily Optimize Donor Segmentation and Engagement Tactic: Create lists that group donors based on factors like engagement score, giving history, or event participation. For example, a list of “lapsed donors” (those who haven’t donated in 12+ months) and set up an automated workflow to send a re-engagement email sequence. Example: Set up lead scoring for donors using attributes like donation frequency, recent website activity, or email clicks then rigger workflows to escalate highly engaged contacts to your development team for personalized outreach. Impact: Improves donor retention and reactivation by ensuring high-potential donors get personalized follow-ups and nurtures at the right time. 2. Save Time & Increase Efficency by setting Fundraising Workflows Tactic: Implement workflows to manage the entire donor journey. When a new donor completes a donation form, automatically update the donor's profile, enroll them in a “new donor welcome sequence,” and schedule follow-up tasks for your fundraising team. Example: Create a workflow that assigns tasks to the development officer when a donor makes a gift above a certain amount, triggering a “VIP donor thank you” process. This can include sending a personalized video message or booking a follow-up call. Impact: Reduces manual workload, ensures consistent communication while freeing up your staff time for strategic initiatives like major gifts or grant applications. 3. 360-View of the Donor Journey Tactic: Use #HubSpot as #SSOT by integrating other tools like donation platform Fundraise Up . View all donor interactions—from website visits to donations to event registrations—in one place. Example: By integrating Fundraise Up with HubSpot, you can track donation amounts, campaign source, and recurring gifts. Impact: Centralizing data enables your teams to make data-driven decisions, optimizing resource allocation and improving donor engagement strategies. 4. SMART Campaign Tracking and Attribution Tactic: Set up campaign tracking to measure the impact of different marketing efforts (emails, social media, events). Use UTM parameters and custom reports to attribute revenue back to specific campaigns. Example: If you're running a GivingTuesday campaign, track which channels (e.g., email vs. social media) generate the most donations. Reports not only show total funds raised but also donor acquisition cost and campaign ROI. Impact: With detailed campaign performance metrics, you can adjust strategies in real-time to maximize fundraising impact and donor acquisition efficiency.

Ever dive into nonprofit platforms and think, “Okay… which tool actually plays nicely with Salesforce?” Or wonder why some systems act like friendly neighbors while others feel like they need a translator? One of Classy’s biggest strengths is its deep integration with Salesforce. If you're already committed to the Salesforce ecosystem, this alone can make Classy a far stronger choice than many alternative platforms. In fact, Salesforce’s own nonprofit package isn’t always as advanced as what Classy offers. With Classy, you gain richer workflows and functionality tailored specifically for nonprofit fundraising. But there’s a tradeoff. Classy can still place you inside a defined box—especially if your nonprofit model is unusually complex, with edge cases that require more freedom than the platform naturally provides. For many organizations, it’s a great fit. For others with layered processes, it may feel snug. How has your experience been balancing the benefits of deep Salesforce integration with the constraints that come from using a more structured, fundraising-focused platform like Classy?
