A New Era of Water Access in Uganda
This project proves that solar powered piped water systems are not only viable—they’re sustainable and in high demand across rural Uganda. Communities like Nyakabale and Kibibira are leading the way, managing their own systems and calling for household connections.

In an era of global disruption, Green Empowerment represents a proven, ground-up model for rural community development. Over nearly three decades, we’ve reached more than 670,000 people with renewable energy and clean water solutions that last. We are steadfast in our belief that rural infrastructure investments + local ownership + collective action are essential to our vision: a world where all people have the resources they need to thrive.
2024 Annual Report

globe to lead their development. In 2024 we completed projects with 116 communities reaching 23,146
people. We brought community perspectives to a global stage with our documentary, Force of Water.
