Marc Theermann shared thisLast week, I attended my first IAAPA trade show. I arrived as a newcomer to the attractions industry and left feeling warmly welcomed. IAAPA brings together the people who create and operate theme parks and entertainment experiences. What stood out most to me was how open everyone was to sharing ideas and making new connections. A special thank you to IAAPA ESA for an outstanding event, ADNEC Group for the spectacular setting, and the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) for inviting us to co-host their party, and to Chuck Fawcett for bringing me into a great panel discussion. I enjoyed every conversation, especially those with our new friends and potential partners at Fuzzy Lightbulb, Charcoalblue , Berlin Creative Studio, Katapult | B-Corp Certified, movemotions productions, Sally Dark Rides, Damian Norman, and WildBrain. Looking forward to continuing these conversations and seeing what we can create together. #IAAPA #ThemedEntertainment

Marc Theermann shared thisBrett Adcock and the team at Figure just decommissioned their old fleet of robots by having them jump into a furnace, resulting in one of the coolest non-CGI robot videos of all time. The company said that "decommissioning a fleet of robots full of custom-built actuators and other intellectual property is no easy task. We needed to dispose of the robots in a way that protected our proprietary hardware. Disassembling each robot would take our technical staff so much time that it would delay the launch of F.04." Spectacular! And yes, I did buy one of the artifacts as well. ;)

Marc Theermann shared thisA robot centric theme park just opened in China - outside Macao. Apparently robots are being “introduced for performances, AI education, visitor guidance, companionship and hotel services.” A new era of service & hospitality robots has officially begun!Marc Theermann shared this300+ robots. One resort. Multiple real-world roles. AGIBOT and Chimelong Group have officially launched a large-scale robot deployment at Chimelong in Zhuhai, China. Across the resort, robots are being introduced for performances, AI education, visitor guidance, companionship and hotel services. The launch also coincides with another milestone: AGIBOT’s 20,000th humanoid robot, an A3 Ultra, rolled off the production line and was delivered to Chimelong. Built at scale. Now deployed at scale. #AGIBOT #HumanoidRobotics #EmbodiedAI

Marc Theermann shared thisResearchers built HANDROID, a desktop-scale robot that switches between a dexterous hand and a humanoid embodiment within a single platform. The system has 27 degrees of freedom, weighs 2.05 kg, and stands 33 centimeters tall. At that scale it demonstrates something the field has been circling for a while , that the boundary between a robotic hand and a humanoid robot is more of a design assumption than a physical constraint. The clever part is what collapsing that boundary actually enables. A dexterous hand and a humanoid locomotion system require different control paradigms, different research frameworks, and typically different hardware entirely. HANDROID runs both on the same platform, switching between embodiments depending on the task rather than committing to one functional identity.

Marc Theermann shared thisSomeone built a robot that plays badminton, and the engineering behind it is more serious than the application suggests. A shuttlecock is one of the harder objects to track in real time. It's light, aerodynamically unpredictable, and deflects easily. Intercepting it requires 3D trajectory prediction, synchronized movement between a mobile AMR platform and a robotic arm, and the whole thing resolved fast enough to actually make contact. That combination, real-time perception, trajectory forecasting, coordinated mobile manipulation, is exactly the capability profile that makes logistics and warehouse automation genuinely difficult. High-speed sorting of irregular objects, AMRs navigating fluidly around humans and forklifts, dynamic interception of items on fast-moving conveyors.

Marc Theermann shared thisA humanoid robot just ran the 100m in 8.86 seconds. For context, Usain Bolt's world record is 9.58. Humanoid locomotion research has been compounding quietly, better actuators, better real-time control, better sim-to-real transfer , and the results are starting to show up in ways that are legible to anyone, not just roboticists. Sport has always been one of the clearest ways to communicate capability. A robot on a track next to a human athlete does something a lab demo never quite manages. Honestly, I bet Boston Dynamics Atlas robot can run faster...

Marc Theermann shared this10LINES built an autonomous robot that paints road markings , lane lines, pedestrian crossings, safety markings, without putting workers next to live traffic. Road markings are infrastructure that people notice only when they're missing or wrong. Behind every correctly painted line is a crew that traditionally works in one of the more exposure-heavy conditions in civil maintenance. Consistent accuracy, higher repeatability, and digital mapping of completed work are real operational improvements, but the safety case is the one that makes this genuinely necessary rather than just convenient. Warehouses and factories get most of the attention because the environments are controlled and the ROI is easier to calculate. Infrastructure maintenance is messier, variable conditions, public roads, weather, and the market is enormous. Not every robot needs to pick boxes. Some just need to paint straight lines in places humans shouldn't have to stand.

Ketryx is one of the fastest growing tech companies in the Boston area! The company recently announced a $39M Series B round of funding to build out the infrastructure for regulated AI. We held a hiring event with 4 of the leaders from the company, including Tim Brodeur, VP of Customer Success. This video includes snippets that are related his team. A link to the jobs is added to the comments section. In this video, he shares: * Details on the Customer Success & Delivery team * Size of the team and growth * Responsibilities of the team * Positions they are currently hiring for * Who would be a good fit for the roles

Becoming AI-native starts with Claude, and takes a network of tools and expertise. Starting today, Claude Marketplace brings that network together in one place: → Add connectors and plugins: 2,000+ for the tools your teams already use, like Atlassian, Notion, and Salesforce → Buy agents and products: Claude-powered software from CrowdStrike, Cursor, Harvey, and Snowflake, which customers can buy with a portion of their committed Anthropic spend → Scale with service partners: experts from the Claude Partner Network, like Accenture, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), and Deloitte Read more on the blog: https://lnkd.in/eT5rmXYU Proud of the team that brought this together.

Seth Levine nailed it! The concentration problem isn't just a GP pain point... it's choking innovation. When capital pools around the same 20 funds, emerging managers and founders get shut out. Love that he's using his platform to call this out. Foundry has backed 50+ emerging managers. That's the diversification the ecosystem needs. This is exactly why Carta exists — making capital allocation visible and accessible. Capital Evolution hits at exactly the right moment. Thanks for having us Daniel Dart. Team Carta loves the community of FUTURE TITANS you have built 🚀
