Your boy could use some help.
This feels a little awkward to post, but I’m looking for my next role in fintech and wanted to put it out there.
If you know me through here, you’ve probably seen the event posts, the fintech commentary and the occasional trip down a rabbit hole. Here’s a little more about the work I do.
My background is in sales and business development, selling to banks, credit unions and fintechs. Across my last four fintech roles, I’ve worked on everything from learning and banking engagement to financial data, payments and cards infrastructure.
At LemonadeLXP, I helped grow the client base from one bank to twelve. At Exagens, we worked with Desjardins and helped launch a pilot with two U.S. credit unions in the middle of COVID. At Railz, I was part of the early sales efforts before the company was acquired by FIS.
Most recently, I worked in payments and cards infrastructure in Canada and the U.S., helping develop new business and manage complicated sales cycles with banks and Fintechs including RFPs, third-party risk management and the work that comes with getting a deal across the line.
That work has also taken me into marketing, positioning and strategy: figuring out who a product is for, why it matters, and what the customer is actually trying to solve. Those who know me know how curious I am. Getting into those questions is a big part of what I enjoy.
Less selling, more helping someone buy.
I’m looking for my next opportunity in fintech and financial infrastructure, with teams serving Canada and the U.S. That could include payments, cards, financial data or other technology that helps financial services work.
I’m especially interested in being an early business development hire, helping a team figure out where its product fits, build a pipeline and turn those conversations into business.
Title matters less than the work and the people.
If you know a team that could use someone like me, or someone I should talk to, I’d appreciate an introduction. And if you’ve seen me around here and thought we should have a conversation, I’d be glad to.
I’m pretty easy to find.
