Our second free pre-conference side event welcomed more than 200 attendees on September 13, following a strong turnout on day one. The discussions covered affiliate partnerships, new sources of export demand, management support for SEO and visibility across AI search. Here’s what our four speakers shared: Jamie I.F. covered how affiliates, publishers and creators can help brands reach buyers throughout their shopping journey and appear in AI recommendations. He shared methods for finding relevant partners, personalizing outreach with AI and structuring partnerships that reward contributions to both demand and sales. Tori YAPING Long shared her S.P.A.C.E. framework for exporters facing slower growth. It covered markets, use cases, customer needs, collaboration and execution. Drawing on examples from bags, security cameras and solar energy, she encouraged businesses to investigate new demand for their existing capabilities and work more closely with customers. Ilman Akbar focused on gaining management support by understanding the business and connecting SEO activity to commercial objectives. He shared frameworks for deciding where SEO fits, choosing relevant KPIs and communicating recommendations clearly, with business impact and next steps at the centre. Jabez Reuben shared how his team studies AI answers, the searches behind them and their sources to understand which brands get recommended and why. He covered building topical authority through third-party content, comparisons and detailed reviews, starting with specific categories and locations before targeting broader queries. Our founder, JP Zhang, shared his “SEO happiness” framework, built around clear positioning, goals that support the business and a practical execution plan. He encouraged practitioners to focus on what they can control, set realistic expectations and stay connected with peers who can help them learn and improve. Thank you to Jamie, Tori, Ilman, Jabez, JP, and to everyone who joined us over the weekend. It has been a pleasure to bring people together before the five-day programme began. There’s plenty more ahead through Friday, including talks, SEO Mastermind, main-stage sessions and VIP networking. Explore the full agenda and add your chosen sessions to your schedule in the event app. We look forward to seeing you throughout the week!

The room was full before the official check-in time. What a way to start! More than 200 people joined us today for the first free pre-conference side event at Shenzhen SEO Conference 2026. Our speakers brought plenty to work with, from building AI visibility to connecting everyday workflows with a broader growth strategy. Tanya Van Gastel shared her APEX framework for AI visibility: Authority, Presence, Endorsements and Extractability. She covered how brands can become sources that AI cites, earn third-party mentions and make their content easier for crawlers to access. Mu Qin demonstrated how changing search data from JSON to Markdown can reduce token usage and allow AI to analyze more results within the same budget. Her examples showed how input format can affect both cost and the recommendations a model produces. Jacky L. shared two AI workflows: one connecting B2B prospect research, lead qualification and sales follow-up, and another covering keyword research, topic clustering, content generation and human review. Sacha Fournier showed how AI agents can monitor Western news cycles, identify relevant story angles and support journalist outreach, helping Chinese brands respond to media opportunities across time zones. Our founder, JP Zhang, walked through his nine-step approach to building an SEO strategy with AI. The framework was presented as a hierarchy: business strategy → marketing strategy → SEO strategy → execution plan. Each step was illustrated using a fictional company, "JP Basketball". Thank you to our speakers and everyone who joined us today. Seeing so many people arrive early and ready to learn made this a special start to the week ahead. We’re back tomorrow, September 13, for another free side event. Then, from Monday to Friday, September 14 to 18, the five-day conference brings workshops, city tours, SEO Mastermind, main-stage sessions and VIP networking. We look forward to seeing many of you again!
