Last week we brought Local Leaders to New York City for Climate Week, and the room was full of nonprofit and CSR leaders working through one big question: What actually counts as proof? Thank you to our presenting partners YourCause from Blackbaud and Public Interest Registry, to Nestlé Nespresso SA for hosting us at their NY Flagship Boutique, and to our panelists Nathan Froelich and Megan Waters. Here's what stuck with us: • Nathan Froelich: Trust is the new advantage. AI is making stories and data easier to produce. Over the next 3 to 10 years, organizations will stand out through trust: showing where their information comes from and proving it holds up. • Megan Waters: Numbers need meaning. Putting 3,000 trash cans around a city sounds great. Are people using them? Megan pushed us to look for the story behind every number, and to tell other people's stories responsibly. • Muneer Panjwani: Measure the cause, not just your own program. At our Collective Action Summits, funders told us they support lots of great organizations but can't tell which investment is moving the needle. The next step is for funders and nonprofits to agree on what they'll measure together, so progress shows up across a whole issue and not one organization at a time. Want to join the conversation in person? Our Local Leaders events are heading to Chicago and Seattle this fall. Learn more and register at https://lnkd.in/gfMwy-TJ

The GFR Summit stage - 12 of the best people, my team, beside me, and 1,000 young women in front of us made me understood: Impact is not an individual experience. It's understanding, and changing, the world through people - once you realise they are the creators of reality. Because impact can start with one person's idea - but it's only made real by the people who believe in it. Scale is people. Standard is the details others overlook. Community is shared culture. Impact was never solitary. It's a constant relationship. This is where my thinking on conflict meets my work on impact. You cannot sustain a system without caring for the people who run it. To neglect them is to neglect the whole mission. Some call it soft. I call it the engine. To our partners - thank you for believing in the vision of this room. ING Poland Roche PLAY pheym. Climate change, biodiversity loss, water scarcity. The challenges are global. Some of the most lasting solutions start local. In a new piece from Engage for Good, four 2026 #ORGImpactAwards finalists share what it takes to create change that sticks: - Ulinzi Africa Foundation protects Kenya's biodiversity hotspots, doing the unseen work behind every patrol - Ripple Africa helps Lake Malawi fishing communities protect breeding grounds, with fish now protected across five districts - Smartel Agritech has deployed 300+ solar-powered hydroponic systems in Nigeria, using up to 90% less water - HERVeg.05 helps Tanzanian farmers build a fallback before the next drought hits Meaningful partnership starts with listening to the people closest to the problem. 🌍✨ CELEBRATING DR. JOVANY FLORVIL — 2026 .ORG IMPACT AWARDS RISING STAR HONOREE! We are incredibly proud to share that Dr. Jovany Florvil has been recognized in the Rising Star category of the 2026 .ORG Impact Awards! 🏆🇭🇹 Selected from more than 4,200 submissions representing 145 countries, this global recognition celebrates Jovany’s extraordinary commitment to creating opportunities for young people in Haiti. Jovany has been an integral part of EDUCARE’s work in Haiti, helping expand access to STEM education and robotics while mentoring young people to see themselves as problem-solvers, innovators, and leaders. What makes his story even more remarkable is that he has pursued this work alongside his own demanding journey. Jovany recently graduated from medical school with honors, balancing the work of becoming a physician with an unwavering commitment to investing in Haiti’s next generation. Through EDUCARE’s robotics programs and the FIRST Tech Challenge, Jovany has helped create opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience in engineering, technology, teamwork, and creative problem-solving. 🤖 But what makes us proudest isn’t simply what Jovany has accomplished for himself. It’s how consistently he uses his own opportunities to create opportunities for others. As one of five Rising Star honorees, Jovany and EDUCARE will receive a $2,500 donation to further this work. Jovany will also be recognized at the .ORG Impact Awards ceremony in Washington, D.C., on October 6. Jovany, we could not be more proud of you. Thank you for believing so deeply in Haiti’s young people, for leading by example, and for building opportunities for the next generation. 🇭🇹❤️ This is only the beginning. #ORGImpactAwards #ORG2026 #RisingStar #EDUCARE #Haiti
