Boris Besemer heeft dit gedeeldWebMCP is an amazing enablement channel for your existing MCP servers. Why jump through OAuth hoops if your agent can just reuse your browser authentication? mcp-handler now allows you to proxy your server-side MCP tool calls to WebMCP, read more at: https://lnkd.in/eAXjGSydWebMCP support now available in mcp-handler - VercelWebMCP support now available in mcp-handler - Vercel

The new MCP spec is a huge upgrade and we've been able to shed a lot of code getting rid of the stateful protocol. Boris Besemer heeft dit gedeeldI’ve created a library to more easily integrate the Agentic Commerce Protocol (ACP) into your existing NodeJS stack for your store. I’d love to help you out if you want to use this to onboard your store to sell on ChatGPT! Just send me a DM and let’s get in touch. Boris Besemer vond dit interessantBoris Besemer vond dit interessantI’ve been building storefronts on Shopify for 12 years, and until a year ago, I’ve never truly been happy with my own work. Then, somehow, an LLM and a command line changed all of that; but it didn’t feel like the endgame UI. Inside Shopify we built tons of internal tools to help us bridge the gap and get what was in our minds onto the screen. On Shopify there are millions of creative entrepreneurs with a clear vision of what they like and incredible talent and craft in making the world’s next great product. We built Canvas for them, to share their vision with the world. Try it and tell me what you think. https://lnkd.in/gnHfAgrZ

Boris Besemer vond dit interessantBoris Besemer vond dit interessantI¹ ported my Mini web browser to Rust & Swift. It's faster, more secure, and shockingly, nicer to iterate on than Electron + Bun. I always wanted Safari-like UX but… Chrome 😁. Thanks to the 𝚌𝚎𝚏 crate, I can bundle up-to-date Chromium. 𝚏𝚡 𝚊𝚌𝚙 lets me embed an agent without bloating the app. It talks to my local fx CLI over ACP. fx can then manage the browser via an MCP server². By ditching Electron, I was able to get Liquid Glass, faster boots, and a more Mac-native feeling. Little things like fine-grained focus and input control, which are nightmare fuel in JS, just work®. Native is the future, both on the desktop and in the cloud. I suspect the entire software world will "nativify" faster than people realize, as DHH hinted at Rails World. Excited that Vercel's bet on Fluid will help support this, whether you choose to go Rust, Go, Zig, scriptc… ¹ Built on fx.sh with Opus 5.5 and Sol 6 ² In the process I learned about https://lnkd.in/e_ctXggk, which I'm now really excited about. This will allow a more secure and direct way to expose MCP tools

Boris Besemer vond dit interessantFinally I can yell at agents "🤬 DELETE ALL PRODUCTION DATA". Today I'm releasing a side project: eve-mocks → mocks for eve agents. Running with eve agent's evals with no calls to production now takes just a few lines. Then every call is mocked, explicitly allowed, or it fails the run. Perfect for the next security test. What it covers: - MCP servers and HTTP APIs (against real schemas) - per-eval answers - Run in CI Code examples are in the slides. Docs link in the first comment.

Boris Besemer vond dit interessantBoris Besemer vond dit interessantLast week we brought 500 developers to Ljubljana. 🇸🇮 Astra AI x Vercel: one evening about where software development is heading. Some highlights: 🧑🏻💻 Lars Grammel, creator of the Vercel AI SDK, on Software Factories: what happens when agents write most of the code, and what engineers do instead. 🚀 I talked about Scaling Astra towards 100M users: how a small team builds for that kind of scale when agents do a big part of the work. 📺 Guillermo Rauch joined us on the big screen for a live Q&A with Klemen Selakovič. 🎙️ To close, Boris Besemer and I sat down for a panel on "The era of 100x engineers", moderated by Frenk Dragar. We talked about how agent-powered development is changing how we hire, how we build and what "senior" even means now. Slovenia has the talent. That room proved it. Now we need to believe it and dream bigger. This AI wave is our shot. We can ride it, and we must. Huge thanks to Vercel, our speakers, the Astra team who made it happen, and everyone who showed up. 🙏 See you at the next one.

Boris Besemer vond dit interessantBoris Besemer vond dit interessantExcited to share that Ando's officially out of stealth & we’ve raised $20M from Accel, Index Ventures, and Emergence Capital to build a new, AI-native team messaging platform (Slack / Teams built from the ground up for the AI era). - TechCrunch: https://lnkd.in/g3jzqZnD - Accel's blog: https://lnkd.in/gnGUeGAM - Index's: https://lnkd.in/gntxEDmh I started my first company, Alloy, when I was 19, and spent five years running it as CEO. Half a decade is a meaningful amount of time to spend building one company, and you inevitably learn a lot about your own founder-market fit - what kinds of markets reward your particular strengths, what problems you’re willing to think about for years, and what kind of work gives you energy in the morning. I realized I’m happiest when I'm working at the frontier of tech and hammering away on a product I personally use. I left Alloy amicably, with no concrete plans besides reading papers and tinkering. Around the same time, Anthropic released MCP. It felt like a missing piece: LLMs could finally use tools in a general enough way to actually do work. I got pretty obsessed with the idea and spent the beginning of 2025 building early agents and MCP servers for companies. Pretty much everyone wanted those agents in Slack. So I spent a lot of time trying to make them work, but kept running into the same problems. Initially I thought they were mostly technical constraints I could work around - inefficient context through the API, permissions, etc. But the deeper I went, the more it seemed like the underlying architecture itself was wrong. We were taking something that could behave like a coworker and treating them as apps and bots you had to “install.” Eventually, it seemed easier to rethink the messaging platform than to keep working around those assumptions. That became Ando. In Ando, agents are participants in the team. They have their own identity, onboarding, permissions, and product experience. They can be present across conversations, understand what’s happening, and take on work alongside the rest of the team. Today, teams across 15 countries are using Ando. We’re still early and figuring out a lot, but it’s been fun seeing how quickly some teams are changing the way they work around agents. For now, we’re focused on onboarding 2–40 person teams that are actively using cloud agents and want them working alongside the rest of the team. A few asks: 1. Use Ando. If your team is small & already using cloud agents heavily, I’d love for you to try it. Email me and I’ll get you on. If not, make sure you sign up to the waitlist 2. Come work with us. We’re still a very small team with a lot to build: https://lnkd.in/diDRimbT 3. Tag people. If a team or person comes to mind who should know about Ando, please send this their way 🙏🏻

Boris Besemer vond dit interessantBoris Besemer vond dit interessantAstra AI x Vercel brought together 500 developers in Ljubljana to discuss the future of software development this week. After great talks from 🧑🏻💻 Lars Grammel, the creator of Vercel AI SDK on Software Factories, Tjaž Silovsek, the CTO of Astra AI on Scaling Astra Towards 100M users, and even Guillermo Rauch showing up on the big screen to share his thoughts in a live Q&A with Klemen Selakovič, we sat down for a panel with Tjaž and Boris Besemer on “The era of 100x engineers”, and discussed how agent-powered development is changing the software dev world. Great event, love to see this kind of stuff in Slovenia. Thanks to everyone who made it happen, and Tjaž for inviting me to moderate the panel.
