Monday reminder: Don’t confuse being busy with growing. A new week doesn’t mean you need to spend more on ads. It means you need to ask better questions: → Are we reaching the right people? → Is our offer clear? → Are we tracking what actually matters? → Are we turning clicks into customers? → What worked last week — and what didn’t? Growth isn’t about doing more. It’s about doing what works better. Start the week with strategy. Let the numbers guide the rest. — Zelviq | Advancing the Future

August has a superpower. Most businesses ignore it. But the smart ones start winning it in August. Right now, your future customers are leaving clues: 🔍 What they're searching for. 💬 What they're talking about. 🛒 What they're getting ready to buy. The businesses paying attention today will have the right message, the right offer, and the right audience when everyone else starts scrambling. Peak season rewards the most prepared, not just the fastest. So before you spend another dollar on ads, ask yourself: Are you following where demand is going, or chasing where it's already been? That's the difference between keeping up and pulling ahead.

Most marketers spend the under-resourced season asking for more resources. The best ones spend it building the machine that makes resources come to them. Here's the logic every leader runs, whether they say it out loud or not. They want every dollar they put in to come back as three, five, ten. So the moment you build a system where a dollar in reliably returns five, you don't have to fight for budget anymore. They'll cram every dollar they can find into a machine that returns five to one. That's not generosity. That's just math they can't ignore. And that reframes the whole "I'm under-resourced" problem. We hear it constantly, and it's real: 🔸 I don't have the right technology 🔸 I don't have the right people 🔸 I don't have the right skill sets All true. And also, the most talented marketers we know earned that reputation in exactly that season. Under-resourced, stretched thin, and instead of waiting for better conditions, they worked extra, learned new skills, and built repeatable systems that actually returned. That season didn't hold their careers back. It built them. Because the gap, the place where things are under-resourced and a little broken, is precisely where the opportunity lives. Anyone can run a well-funded machine. The people who build the machine when there's no funding yet are the ones who become indispensable. Stop asking for more resources. Build the thing that makes resources inevitable. More plays like this every week. Link's in the first comment. #ScrappyABM #B2BMarketing #MarketingLeadership #DemandGen

Every summer, we see the same trend... Performance dips, panic sets in, and suddenly every campaign is under the microscope. The first reaction is often to start changing budgets, rebuilding campaigns or blaming the platforms. But sometimes, the biggest factor isn't your account at all - it's seasonality. Consumer behaviour changes throughout the year, and many industries naturally see a slowdown during the summer months. That doesn't necessarily mean your strategy has stopped working. Use this quieter period to strengthen your strategy instead of chasing short-term fluctuations:

The easiest things to measure often become the things we chase. Revenue. Followers. Titles. KPIs. Square feet. Savings. Not because they’re the most meaningful—but because they’re visible. The harder things to measure rarely make it to our dashboards: Trust you’ve built. People you’ve helped. Peace of mind. Curiosity. Character. Some of the biggest wins in life never fit neatly into a spreadsheet. Maybe we’re asking the wrong question. Instead of, “How do I get more?” Try asking, “What kind of life would make me excited to wake up tomorrow?” The answer might not improve every metric. But it might improve everything that actually matters.

Most businesses get the summer slowdown wrong. They go quiet. They stop posting. They lose all the momentum they built in the spring. But the slow season isn't for silence — it's for strategy. It's the perfect time to build the foundation for your fall rush. Instead of going dark, try this: 1. Maintain a heartbeat. Even one or two high-quality posts a week tells the algorithm you're still here. It keeps you top-of-mind for when customers are ready to buy again. 2. Shift to storytelling. With less pressure to sell, share the 'why' behind your business. Post behind-the-scenes content. Build community. This is what creates loyalty that pays off in the busy season. 3. Plan ahead. Use the quiet time to get your content for August and September done. A few hours now saves you from panic-posting later. This is the work that turns a slow summer into a record-breaking fall. We just launched two free resources to help small businesses heading into the holiday season. The first is the Meta Holiday Insights Center, built on new research from 14,473 shoppers across 18 markets. A few things that stood out: social media is now on par with search engines for gift discovery. 85% of social shoppers have purchased in-store after seeing something on social. And nearly 1 in 4 shoppers are already using AI in their holiday shopping journey. The second is the Holiday Playbook: a step-by-step guide to help small businesses turn those insights into action, from setting up data foundations to launching campaigns and scaling through January. Highly recommend taking a look:
