Use Claude Cowork Chrome Extension to Optimise Your Google Business Listing If you want better local SEO results, your Google Business Profile needs to be properly optimised. One of the easiest ways I’ve found to do this is using Claude Cowork with the Claude Chrome extension. Open your Google Business Profile, make sure it’s ready to edit, then ask Claude to first read your website and understand exactly what your business does. From there, you can get it to help optimise: • Your main business categories • Your services under each category • Service descriptions • Products • Images • Other important profile information The services section is especially useful because a lot of businesses either leave it incomplete or don’t optimise it properly. Give Claude clear instructions, keep the text concise, make sure everything matches your actual website, and review the changes before publishing. It can save a huge amount of time and help you build a much stronger Google Business Profile. #GoogleBusinessProfile #LocalSEO #Claude #ClaudeCowork #chrome

Your Google Business Profile deserves more attention. For local businesses, Google isn't just a place to list your address. It's often where potential customers decide: “Should I call?” “Should I visit?” “Should I keep looking?” Your photos, reviews, business information, services, website, and overall online presence all contribute to that decision. Local SEO isn't just about ranking. It's about looking trustworthy when people find you. #LocalSEO #GoogleBusinessProfile #SmallBusinessMarketing #LocalMarketing #DMVBusiness

A client once asked me: “Why isn’t my business showing up on Google Maps?” Their website looked great. Fast, modern, nice design. But their Google Business Profile? Barely touched. No recent photos. No posts. Reviews left unanswered for months. Categories that didn’t even match what they actually did. Here’s the thing most business owners don’t realize: For local searches, Google doesn’t just care about your website. It cares about signals consistency, activity, trust. NAP consistency across directories. Regular GBP updates. Genuine reviews, responded to. Location-specific content that actually matches how people search. Your website can be beautiful and still be invisible locally if these basics are ignored. Local SEO isn’t glamorous. But it’s often the difference between “we found you on Google” and “we never knew you existed.” What’s one local SEO basic you see businesses skip most often? #LocalSEO #GoogleBusinessProfile #SEO #SmallBusiness #DigitalMarketing

3 free tools I use before every local SEO audit: 1. Google Business Profile itself — I check categories, hours, photos, Q&A. Half the issues are visible in 2 minutes, free. 2. Google's Mobile-Friendly Test — most local customers are on phones. If the site fails here, nothing else matters much. 3. A simple "site:" search — type site:example.com on Google to see what's actually indexed. Missing pages = missing opportunities. No expensive subscriptions needed to spot the big problems. What free tool would you add to this list? 👇 #LocalSEO #SEOTools #SmallBusiness #DigitalMarketing #SEOTips

Someone hears about your business from a friend. What do they do next? There is a pretty good chance they Google you. Your Google Business Profile can show them your location or service area, hours, website, phone number, photos and reviews before they ever reach your website. And yes, it is an important part of being visible in local search. Even businesses built heavily on word of mouth need to pay attention to what people find after the recommendation happens. #webdevelopment #webdesign #seo

🍊 A lot of Greenville businesses are great at the work and terrible at proving it online. Google pays attention to that gap. It looks for signs that a business knows what it's talking about, and generic website copy doesn't give it much. Three places most sites fall short: 1. Advice with no name attached to it. 2. Claims any competitor could copy word for word. 3. No photos, project examples, or first-hand detail from the work itself. More blog posts won't fix any of that. Better evidence will. The full article covers what Google looks for and what to check on your website this week. 👇 #GreenvilleSC #SEO #SmallBusiness

A lot of businesses spend money making their website look good, then leave their 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐞 looking like an afterthought. That’s a problem. When someone searches for a business near them, your Google presence can influence what they see before they ever visit your website: 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰𝐬, 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐬, 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. That’s why 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐄𝐎 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠. It’s about showing up when someone is already looking for what you offer. Your website shouldn’t be the only place your business looks professional. Google switched to mobile-first indexing in 2019. Your mobile SEO matters more than your desktop SEO. What this means: Google uses the mobile version of your site as the primary version for ranking. If your mobile site has less content, slower load times, or broken elements compared to desktop — your rankings suffer for ALL users. Check your site on a phone right now: - Does it load in under 3 seconds? - Is the text readable without zooming? - Are buttons large enough to tap? - Is the navigation usable? If anything fails those checks, you have a mobile issue affecting your rankings — regardless of how good your desktop site looks. Have you ever audited your site for this? #SEO #MobileSEO #GoogleRanking #TechnicalSEO

3 SEO fixes you can make this week (no agency required). 1. Complete your Google Business Profile. Add your categories, hours, service area, photos, and services. For local searches, this is often the first thing customers see, before your website. 2. Give every page a unique title and description. Your page title is the blue link in Google results. "Home" or "Services" tells Google nothing. "Emergency Plumber in Bellevue | Same-Day Service" tells it everything. 3. Check your site on your phone. Google primarily uses the mobile version of your site for ranking. If text is tiny, buttons are cramped, or pages load slowly, fix that first. None of these takes more than an afternoon, and together they fix some of the most common reasons businesses don't show up in search. Which one are you tackling first? #SEO #LocalSEO #SmallBusinessMarketing
