🍊 Posting more won't automatically generate more leads. If your social media isn't converting, start with the basics. • Give every post a clear next step • Talk about your audience, not just your business • Stay consistent enough to stay visible Many businesses focus on likes, reach, and followers. But the real goal is turning attention into action. At The OrangeByte, social media marketing is built around content that connects, engages, and converts. More posts aren't always the answer. 🚀 Tech Week Greenville wrapped up Saturday and I'm so thankful to have been part of it all! Nicholas Dennis's first night of networking (ever) was an i4Series event in 2021. This year, he and his co-founders ran a full week of tech events across Greenville. Watching this young team work was the highlight of my weekend. My favorite part was the diversity, on the panels and in the crowd. 🌎 A lot of the founders and tech enthusiasts who came out had never heard of i4Series, NextGEN, StartupGVL, Launchpad, SC Forge and others. Many didn't know how much Greenville already has in place for people building companies here. Tech Week is reaching some people the rest of us haven't. Now the real work is staying connected after Tech Week is over. Getting together again soon with Lydia Sellers, Christina Booker, Monique Ravesloot, and Dameon Ouzts to name a few! Congrats again to Nick, Daijah Surratt, and Andrew Farrell for making it happen! Already looking forward to helping again next year!! #TechWeekGreenville #GreenvilleSC #i4Series #Startups #Founders

🚀 That's a wrap! It was a busy day but I thoroughly enjoyed being part of both Thursday events for Tech Week Greenville! It started with a Women in Tech Brunch. I sat on a panel with some sharp women talking about how tech is changing their careers, businesses and everyday lives. 💜 Loved connecting with more like-minded women! Then we headed to the Greenville Technical College Center for Manufacturing Innovation for the i4Series event, "Hired for What, Exactly?" Lilyn Hester, Danny Dorsel, Paula Fulghum and Douglas Kim dug into AI education and the workforce South Carolina is building. It's so exciting to see what Nicholas Dennis, Daijah Surratt, Andrew Farrell, and Samson Baldwin are building with Tech Week Greenville, bringing founders, creatives and tech people together to connect, create and level up across the Upstate. 👏 Thank you to my fellow brunch panelists, and to the i4Series sponsors who made the evening happen. The full i4Series recap article comes out next week. #TechWeekGreenville #WomenInTech #i4Series #GreenvilleSC

🍊 A lot of Greenville businesses are great at the work and terrible at proving it online. Google pays attention to that gap. It looks for signs that a business knows what it's talking about, and generic website copy doesn't give it much. Three places most sites fall short: 1. Advice with no name attached to it. 2. Claims any competitor could copy word for word. 3. No photos, project examples, or first-hand detail from the work itself. More blog posts won't fix any of that. Better evidence will. The full article covers what Google looks for and what to check on your website this week. 👇 #GreenvilleSC #SEO #SmallBusiness

🍊 Visitors don't leave websites because they hate your business. Sometimes, they simply can't find what they need. Confusing navigation. Slow pages. Unclear messaging. Too many steps. Every extra point of friction creates another opportunity to lose a customer. Great UX makes the journey simple: • Find it • Understand it • Trust it • Act on it At The OrangeByte, we design digital experiences that make it easier for customers to take the next step. Better experience. Better conversions. Call (864) 990-5354 | Visit: theorangebyte.com #UXDesign #UserExperience #GreenvilleSC #TheOrangeByte

🚀 What a happy Friday! I'm so excited about Tech Week Greenville, 10 events across Greenville County kicking off Sunday, including an i4Series event on Thursday. Nicholas Dennis has worked his tail off getting this all together. I'm so proud of him and thrilled to be part of what he and his co-founders are doing. We actually met at his first ever networking event as a 21-year-old trying to figure out the business world.... 5 years ago at an i4Series event. 👏 Now he's the one bringing founders and tech leaders together! It's a full-circle moment heading into next week and you can hear all about it Monday morning on WYFF 4! #PublicRelations #Networking #Startups #TechWeekGreenville

🍊 If you run a business, someone has probably pitched you "AI SEO" by now. The pitch usually says Google is putting AI answers at the top of search results and you need a special service to get your business into them. Before you sign anything, know what Google says. 1. You can't pay for a spot in those answers. 2. You don't need special code or an AI file on your website. 3. Nobody can guarantee your business gets included. What helps is the same work that's always helped: A website Google can read, pages that answer the questions your customers ask before they call and an accurate Google Business Profile. Most local businesses don't need an AI strategy. They need their regular SEO fixed. The full article covers what to fix first and how to tell whether AI search is bringing you any business.👇 #GreenvilleSC #SEO #SmallBusiness

🍊 Great energy at the NextGEN Venture Summit this week! Our own Cherish Benton volunteered for match day again this year, pairing founders with investors who fit what they're building. Besides going the extra mile for our clients, giving back to the founder community is one of our passions. There is SO much momentum in the Upstate and we're grateful to be part of it! #Entrepreneurs #Startups #SMBs #VentureCapital
🚀 Another NextGEN Venture Summit is in the books and I loved the way they switched it up at the end this year! When first started in 2016, the goal was to connect entrepreneurs and venture capitalists in the Carolinas. Investor Match Day was added in 2023, giving founders the chance to be matched directly with potential investors. It's not just networking. It's a one-on-one, matched on purpose instead of left to chance. This year, the panels ended and the room split into tables, each built around a different AI topic. Attendees picked whichever one matched what they wanted to learn. What a great way to get the audience even more involved! 🙌 Thank you to the NextGEN crew for making it all happen!
