Looking back on my time as a PR and Tech Communications Intern at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, I’m so grateful for how much I was able to learn and take on over the past few months. Coming into HPE, I was excited to learn more about PR, but I had no idea how much I would also learn about the technology behind it. From AI and supercomputing to cybersecurity and enterprise infrastructure, this summer pushed me to understand incredibly complex topics and communicate why they matter to a broader audience. Throughout my internship, I was exposed to the many moving pieces behind tech PR. I drafted press releases, supported executive media interviews at flagship events, tracked campaigns, and monitored brand mentions, competitor news, and industry trends across global media outlets. The project I’m most proud of was my final research project, where I analyzed 15 security stories from leading companies across the enterprise technology industry. I traced how company announcements developed into earned media coverage, comparing original messaging with how reporters expanded and reframed the stories. After identifying patterns in how competitors built and sustained media attention, I turned my findings into recommendations for how HPE could differentiate its own security story. The project pushed me to look beyond individual pieces of coverage and consider how companies build credibility, strengthen narratives over time, and carve out a distinct place in larger industry conversations. Getting to learn hands-on PR within a company like HPE gave me a completely new perspective on communications and made me even more excited to keep building experience in the field. A huge thank you to Cristina Thai, Andrea Watson - Rich, and everyone on the team for your mentorship, trust, and encouragement throughout the summer. I couldn’t have asked for a better environment to learn in, and getting to share the experience with such an amazing group of fellow interns made it all the more memorable. I’m so grateful for the summer I had at HPE! #HPE #Internship #PublicRelations

It's metacognition, the ability to think about your own thinking. Metacognition is the brain watching itself. When you "notice yourself thinking," the spotlight turns inward. You stop being inside the thought. You start examining it. Neuroscientists have found that during this kind of self-observation, a region in the anterior prefrontal cortex becomes more active. In plain terms: you have a neural system specifically designed for self-observation. Your brain can study its own code in real time. A practical example: simple emotion labeling. Saying "I'm anxious" or "I'm angry" changes what the brain is doing. Not metaphorically. Literally. Research from UCLA suggests that labeling an emotion engages regulatory regions in the prefrontal cortex and dampens activity in the amygdala, the brain's alarm system. Naming your inner state shifts brain activity. Awareness itself can alter the pattern. While metacognition is the ability to think about your own thinking, memory reconsolidation is the ability to recall and edit your own memories. When you recall an event, the memory becomes temporarily malleable. For a short window, new context or emotional meaning can be added. You're not erasing the past. You're updating how it's stored and remembered. That is metacognition applied to past experiences. This is the exact reason reason why some forms of therapy work. It changes the meaning attached to remembered experience. The memory stays. The grip it has on you loosens. Put it together and the picture is striking: → You can observe your own thinking. → Naming a feeling shifts your brain. → Recalling a memory makes it editable. You are not stuck with your default reactions. You have leverage on them, if you notice them. So the next time you catch yourself saying: "Wait, why did I react like that?" That moment is not trivial. It's metacognition at work. And it's often the first step in rewriting what you do next. We spend our lives inside our thoughts. That single move, noticing instead of reacting, is the difference between living on autopilot and living on purpose. Your brain is already equipped for it. All you have to do is use it. Fleming, S. M., & Dolan, R. J. (2012). The neural basis of metacognitive ability. *Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society (1594), 1338-1349. https://lnkd.in/g5_zmFps Lieberman, M. D., Eisenberger, N. Tom Weiland liked thisTom Weiland liked thisA day like today, 15 years ago, I joined Amazon as a Customer Service Associate (L2). Although I have had the opportunity to work on many exciting projects over the years, what I cherish the most are the amazing people I have had the opportunity to meet, work with, and learn from. Since many of you are here, I thought I’d take a couple of minutes to express my deepest gratitude to all of you who have so generously shared your knowledge and time with me. Special thanks to: • Daniela, for betting on a kid, fresh out of high school, with no education and no work experience other than helping my mom at our little copy and print shop. Thank you for seeing something in me and taking a chance. You changed the trajectory of my life in that little interview room in SJO1. • Alejandro, for your leadership and pioneering work, bringing Amazon to Costa Rica (and not just the thousands of jobs that came with it, but its Day 1 culture too), which opened so many doors for people like me and made us all feel part of something special. • ALFONSO, for being patient with me, instead of discouraging me, when I had a lot of zeal but little wisdom (and for prefacing even the most serious of conversations with an ubiquitous “pa”). • Fiona, Brian, Jim, and Jorge and all the ACES “alumni”, for teaching me how to see and solve problems – and how to teach others to do the same. Working next to you or walking into a Kaizen room together was the best school I could’ve wished for. • Alex, Daniel, David and the entire Brazil and Mexico teams, for being outstanding stakeholders (and hosts). The “Make History” motto was never truer than when I got to work with you and your teams on behalf of our Mexican and Brazilian customers. • Rodolfo, for being a great manager for the last 8 years. Thank you for trusting me and for investing so much in my growth. I wouldn’t be where I am (both figuratively and literally) if it was not because of you. And thanks too to all the people I have had the honor to lead and collaborate with over the years. You are too many to tag in this post, but I hope that you read this and know how grateful I am that our paths crossed. Soli Deo Gloria! Reiner

Most CX teams are not data-driven. They are report-driven. They see problems after churn happens. After CSAT drops. After queues explode. NEXT changes the timing. Live dashboards show agent load, wait risk, sentiment trends and resolution speed in real time. Supervisors intervene while the conversation is still happening. Not after damage is done. That is not reporting. That is operational control. Better data does not win. Faster decisions do. #nextishere #cxanalytics #realtimecx #contactcentreai #cxinfrastructure #customersupportplatform #enterprisecx #aiautomation #omnichannelcx [real time cx analytics, contact centre dashboards, ai sentiment monitoring, next omnichannel platform, live cx performance, customer experience intelligence]
