Those two milestones helped lay the foundation for what Kuvare is today. Since 2016, we’ve grown our capabilities and partnerships, but this anniversary is really about the people who have helped make that growth possible — our employees, distribution partners, policyholders, and investors. 👏 We’re grateful for everyone who has been part of the past 10 years and look forward to what we’ll build together next. 🎉 #Kuvare #GILICO #Annuities

Patrick McGovern shared thisI recently published an article exploring a concept I believe many organizations underestimate: Visibility Debt. While technical debt receives significant attention, many organizations struggle far more with the inability to quickly answer basic questions about their systems, data, processes, ownership, and dependencies. The result is often rework, delayed decisions, duplicated effort, and increased risk during transformation initiatives. In this article, I explore: • What Visibility Debt is • How it differs from Technical Debt • Why enterprise rediscovery is so costly • Why visibility becomes increasingly important as organizations grow and transform Have you encountered visibility debt in your organization? What's your perspective? #EnterpriseArchitecture #DigitalTransformation #ITStrategy #Governance #TechnologyLeadership #BusinessArchitectureYour Biggest Enterprise Risk isn’t Technical Debt - It’s Visibility DebtYour Biggest Enterprise Risk isn’t Technical Debt - It’s Visibility Debt

Not because the strategy is wrong, but because there’s no clear ownership, no real cadence, and no connection to execution. The Enterprise Architecture Playbook lays out a practical, 12-step approach to embed architecture into strategy, governance, and delivery so it drives real outcomes. Make architecture something your organization can actually use. Explore the playbook: https://ow.ly/6cpc50YVxKX #EnterpriseArchitecture #ITStrategy #DigitalTransformation #ITLeadership

Patrick McGovern reposted thisPatrick McGovern reposted this#buildintheopen I have a favor to ask. You know that we are practitioners in the field of process and architecture and have created some products already—the podcast, videos, and books. But these are just the starting point for what is in the box for What's Your Baseline? in 2026. I am working with a team of experts in our field (no worries, the names and photos will drop soon ;-), and we like to get some market insight / product idea validation before we start spending time and effort in creating things that are not the right market fit. For this, I have created a three-question form to gather your input. If you have the time, please head over to https://lnkd.in/e29wyvjK and I would greatly appreciate your thoughts. We collectively decided that waking up at 4am on a Sunday and running 13 miles in 86 degrees was a “fun” idea. We are all questioning our life choices. But what we are NOT questioning is the incredible reason for our runs. This October, we will run the 2026 #ChicagoMarathon to raise money for our charity partner, #RonaldMcDonaldHouse. Please consider donating to my fundraiser. https://lnkd.in/gCC9jZqK Your donations support those who are supporting families coping with the emotional and logistical challenges of having sick children in hospital. Any amount helps the cause! And any amount helps me think, “Eh, I didn’t really need that toenail.” (I am not above accepting pity dollars.) Marathon training has kicked off…here we go!!!

Patrick McGovern liked thisPatrick McGovern liked thisHere is a hard truth about Enterprise Architecture. If EA is only reviewing decisions after they are already made, it is not shaping the enterprise. It is documenting the aftermath. That is why so many architecture functions struggle to prove value: ▫️ They are brought in too late. ▫️ They are measured too vaguely. ▫️ They are associated with governance instead of outcomes. ▫️ They are seen as reviewers instead of force multipliers. The future of EA cannot be built around more diagrams, more standards, or more review boards. It has to be built around better enterprise decisions. ▫️ Where should we simplify and standardize? ▫️ Where are we creating duplicate capability? ▫️ Where are local decisions creating enterprise cost? That is the work. Not policing technology. Improving decision quality at scale. The best EA teams will not be the ones with the most artifacts. They will be the ones that help the CxOs and business leaders make faster, clearer, more connected decisions. Because in the end, architecture is not about control. It is about reducing the cost of bad decisions before they become expensive. How is your organization measuring the value of its architecture team today? 👇 #EnterpriseArchitecture #CIO #OperatingModel
