Nutanix is simply the future of data center infrastructure at scale. It solves the fundamental challenge of distributed drifting coordination, choosing hardware and operating system based off of workload and the burden of orchestration of a myriad of databases masked as operating systems. Nutanix isn’t as good. Now that we closed the feature gap, we are 15 years ahead of the market. My dear friend and ex-colleague Brian Oki, who invented viewstamp replication and whose clarity of thought said that my intuition was clear, concise, and correct, He’s sparing with his praise. Nutanix got there first. Anyone who isn’t approaching the problem the way we do is a legacy vendor.

I'm doing the VRP shuffle, last day is July 1st. The timing worked out great both family wise and numbers wise. I’d been wondering about “when” and the “when” suddenly became “How about now?” 😊 Future plans? Plenty! 🙂 Travel, exercise, gardening, gaming, etc. Sticking around the Seattle area, so happy to get together and catch up. Or if you happen to own an Italian villa with a nice view and like visitors, give a shout! 😊 😉 I’ll also check in here – can’t imagine not still following technology and all the geek things. Who knows, might want to keep busy here and there occasionally, you never know.... The journey has been spectacular. 38 years in the industry, 34 years working in some capacity on the Microsoft campus, 16 years as an OEM, 18 years as a “Blue Badge” employee. Marcus Barton reacted on thisMarcus Barton reacted on thisI've ridden a lot of bikes on a lot of difficult trails around the world. Most of them taught me something the hard way. Coaching, really, is just passing those lessons on — so you don't have to learn the same things the slow, painful way I did. For close to two decades I raced off-road professionally, and worked with Specialized to develop the 29er back when most riders were still convinced bigger wheels would never work on technical singletrack. Picking lines through rocks, holding speed through corners that look like they shouldn't go. These days I'm putting that experience into coaching, and I'm opening it up properly. → Private one-on-one sessions for riders working on specific skills → Group clinics — cornering, descending, technical climbing, race craft → School and club programmes for younger riders learning the basics properly → Custom days for teams, businesses or friend groups wanting a session in the mountains Whether you've never clipped in or you're chasing a podium, the goal is the same: a better, safer, more confident rider. ServiceNow will acquire cybersecurity startup Armis in a $7.75 billion deal expected to close next year. The enterprise software company said the deal with Armis will bolster its cybersecurity capabilities in the age of artificial intelligence.
