These updates strengthen proactive update management and help IT teams better understand device posture, blockers, and remediation paths across Windows 10 and Windows 11 fleets. 🔹 1. Autopatch Management Status Report A new tenant‑wide inventory delivers complete visibility into all Intune‑managed devices, highlighting: Which devices receive Autopatch‑managed quality, feature, and driver updates Devices covered by update rings vs. those outside any cloud update policy Hot patch enrollment status Active alerts per device This solves the classic “denominator problem”, ensuring every device is counted during compliance assessments. 🔹 2. Quality Update Journey This report maps each device’s full update lifecycle with phase‑level detail, including: Offer → Download → Install → Reboot → Completion Each step provides timestamps, state transitions, and correlated alerts, making it easier to pinpoint where updates stall and why. The initial GA release covers feature updates. 🔹 3. Alerts & Remediations A unified hub for Windows Autopatch alerts centralizes: Misconfigurations Readiness gaps Policy conflicts that block updates Each alert includes step‑by‑step remediation, plus full audit logs for transparency. The system also boosts Quick Machine Recovery (QMR) workflows by surfacing prerequisites and enabling configurable approval and deferral. 🔹 4. Update Readiness Checker A proactive engine that evaluates whether devices are ready before updates deploy, automatically grouping devices into: Passed Failed (with explicit reasons) Already on the update Quality update checks always run against the latest security release, while feature updates allow selection of a target version. This shifts IT from reactive triage to pre‑deployment risk elimination. 🎟 Licensing & Availability All four capabilities are included at no extra cost for existing Windows Autopatch customers using Windows Enterprise, Frontline, US Government, Education, or Business Premium SKUs. This means that when a user clicks to open a new tab, the content is already loaded and appears instantly, providing a much faster and more responsive experience. Conversely, when the policy is Disabled, the new tab page will only begin to load when a user clicks to open it. This can result in a slight delay, as the browser needs to fetch and render the page content from scratch.
