Jason Lyman shared thisIf there are any builders in my network that need messaging for something new that they are developing, I would recommend you try out this new thing that we built at Customer.io and let us know what you think!Jason Lyman shared thisThis one's for the builders out there. You can now send email, push, and in-app messages from your terminal or your agent. Ship messaging in minutes, not days: 1. Sign up - Create an account in your browser or from the CLI. 2. Send your first email - Point Customer.io at your sending domain and fire off a message to verified test users. 3. Unlock external sends - When you're ready to reach real subscribers, add $10 in funds. It's only $0.40 per 1,000 sends. Jason Lyman shared thisIt is another big launch day for Customer.io 🚀 As Marketers, we know that it is hard to break through all the noise, and these new features make sure that you show up the moment it matters. Check out the overview video below and sign up for our webinar next week if you want to learn more.Jason Lyman shared thisYour customers are moving through the world in real time, on their phones, out in the world, switching between the channels they actually use. Today's launch is all about meeting them there. Here's what's new: 📍 Geofencing: trigger a message on any channel the moment a customer walks into a real-world place. Native, no separate location vendor required. 📱 Live Activities and Live Updates: real-time updates that live on the lock screen, no app open needed. Think delivery tracking, live scores, ride progress. 💬 Bring your own SMS: connect the provider that fits your region, keep the relationships you already have, and route by market from one workspace. 📥 Notification inbox: give customers a place to return to, so a dismissed message doesn't have to mean a missed one. We didn't stop there. WhatsApp templates you can build and submit for approval without leaving Customer.io, channel and topic preference controls that respect how each person wants to hear from you, in-context tooltips, message frequency caps, and a cleaner platform across the board (dark mode included). It all runs on the same data and logic you've already built, so the more places you show up, the more every moment connects. Want the full walkthrough? Jason Lyman shared thisCustomer.io is the most flexible customer engagement platform and easily adapts to your preferred way of the work. Our updated MCP capabilities and our new CLI is further evidence that we are the only product offering delivering cutting edge experiences for marketing and growth teams who want to get the most from their messaging solution.Jason Lyman shared thisThe fastest-growing companies building on AI infrastructure don't want to toggle between browser tabs to set up customer messaging. They want to type a command. So we built for that. Customer.io now has a CLI and MCP server—meaning you can create campaigns, manage segments, trigger broadcasts, and query customer data directly from your terminal or from inside Claude, Cursor, and Codex. No UI required. For technical marketers and growth engineers, it means your messaging infrastructure finally lives in the same environment as the rest of your work. Same rigor, same review process, same tooling. For developers shipping fast, it removes friction from day one. 👉 Read more about what the CLI and MCP unlock: https://lnkd.in/gv2KgKPp

Jason Lyman liked thisJason Lyman liked thisLook mom, I won a trophy for marketing!! 🏆 A few weeks ago, the crowd at Exit Five's B2B Blitz voted my AI visibility play their favorite. And then Marisa Forsman (Timko) sent me an actual trophy?? Yes, it's absolutely going on the shelf behind my desk. Peep it on our next call (I will not be subtle about it). The short version: you probably don't need more content to show up in AI search. You need to make your best existing content easier for AI to find, trust, and cite. Here's how we do it: Find: look in Search Console for pages that are already picking up steam in organic search. Those are your fastest wins Prioritize: pick the pages tied to the questions your buyers are actually asking AI tools, and start there Optimize: restructure so a bot can pull an answer out fast. Answer the question up top, use clear headings that match real questions, add specifics and data Refresh: keep updating on a cadence. Content updated in the last 3 to 6 months tends to show up more in LLM answers, so recency matters The receipts from one page we optimized: ✨ 100th percentile for AI citations ✨ up 11k citations in 5 months ✨ 104% more active users since updating Overall, this play helped us grow AI visibility 30% YoY. I turned the whole thing into a Claude skill you can run on your own content. It's in the first comment 🤠

Most family office principals don’t set out to become the operators of a complex institutional structure. Yet that's often what the role demands. Staffing, governance, vendor oversight, cost management—it compounds quickly. Understanding how to balance what stays in-house with what gets outsourced is foundational work, not a detail to revisit later. This article offers a look at how experienced principals are approaching that question: https://lnkd.in/eXjqWrRe

A client pulled up a renewal invoice on a Zoom call with my co-founder. One system, 40% of the marketing budget. She asked us to replace it. That's three now. Three executives, three unrelated industries, and all three raised it before we did. A COO. A managing director at a consulting firm. The founder of a clothing company. None of them was talking about the system that actually runs the business. It's the software sitting on top of it, the renewals that used to get approved without a conversation. People have been predicting this for years. What stopped it was the arithmetic: replicating one of those products meant millions of dollars and tens of thousands of hours of engineering. Coding tools moved that number, and they moved it a lot. The obvious objection still stands. Custom software rots, the person who understood it leaves, and there's no vendor to call. That's a live question and I'm not going to pretend we've settled it. My read is that the same tools making it cheaper to build are making it cheaper to maintain. The COO told my co-founder what actually worries him: his vendor is going to capture his data and lease it back to her at a sky-high rate. She doesn't want to be a tenant.

Whether an agency search is consultant led or handled by the brand, I think we all, myself included, take for granted the amount of orchestration it takes to arrive at a fruitful pitch. Not like, the logistics. Although calendar jenga, travel schedules, and making sure people show up on time, where they are supposed to, often in random cities/locations, is a feat in and of itself. I'm talking about the orchestration around the dissemination of information from brand to agencies, so that those agencies... a) know what they are doing + the challenge at hand b) feel confident in what they are doing (and that they are a great fit) c) arrive at a pitch where they finish and the brand says 'holy sh*t, that was great!'. I'm talking about the orchestration around the dissemination of information from agencies to brand, so that the brand... a) knows exactly what the agency does well and how they would work towards solving the challenge at hand. b) feels reallllllllllly confident in their final decision c) watches a few pitches and thinks 'wow, holy sh*t, we could work with all these groups!" Taking a brief or an RFP and running with it may seem easy. For some, it is. I've become numb to it. If you're in marketing, you probably have too. A friendly reminder that is sure as sh*t is NOT easy. Pitches are HARD. WORK. oh yea...and if you win...you get the distinct honor of getting thrown directly into the fire...usually immediately :)

Most people think their phones are listening to them (I'm among them). They’re wrong...but the truth might be more unsettling. On the latest Camber Creek Catalyst podcast, Head of Platform Lionel Foster sat down with Jeremy Hlavacek (former ad leader at IBM Watson, Experian, and The Weather Channel) to unpack what’s really happening behind the scenes in digital advertising. A few takeaways that stuck with me: - The data ecosystem is far more powerful (and predictive) than most people realize - The real question isn’t what companies can do, but what they should do - Every company, from retailers to AI platforms, is becoming an ad business - And for startups: copying the same paid acquisition playbook is a fast path to mediocrity If you’ve ever felt like ads are getting “too good,” this conversation will change how you think about privacy, AI, and the future of marketing. Worth a listen (link in comments). #podcast #advertising #AI #bigbrother https://lnkd.in/eGVFFw3C

One of my agentic commerce predictions for 2026 in this recent Forbes piece: Matt Nichols, General Partner at Commerce Ventures, notes that the mechanics are already in motion. Looking ahead, he predicts that this year, "Agentic commerce transaction volume reaches meaningful levels as consumers advance from research to buying on AI platforms. 2026 will be the year that transactions are completed in these platforms." To this prediction, Nichols adds another: retailers will be forced to build "super-feeds" specifically for AI platforms. “These data feeds may involve monetary transactions that could include payments to AI platforms or payments to the retailer/brand (depending on balance of power).” https://lnkd.in/g65RAerA
