gretchen koback pursel shared thisI’m thrilled to officially join Exemplar Luxury Group as Chief People Officer. This is such an exciting moment to be joining ELG. Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman each have a rich heritage, built over many years by incredibly talented people. Now we have an opportunity to build on that legacy while evolving together for what comes next. I look forward to partnering with our leaders and colleagues as we shape this next era, reinforcing what makes this organization special, fostering a culture where people can thrive, and ensuring our people remain at the heart of how we move forward. I’m incredibly excited to be part of this evolution and, most of all, to do it alongside the people of ELG.

At Equinox , our teams show up every day to help members maximize their potential through movement, community, and human connection. As both an HR leader and a mom, I’m reminded that while technology will continue to transform how we work, the human connection can never be replaced.Craft, community, connection: The new competitive advantage for employersCraft, community, connection: The new competitive advantage for employers

Grateful for the opportunity to share the stage with Cynthia Ryan, Katie East, and Diana Scott at The Conference Board CHRO Summit, where we explored the critical role of resilience and well-being in today’s workplace. The American Psychological Association highlights three key factors that shape resilience: how individuals engage with the world, the strength of their support systems, and the coping strategies they employ. At its core, resilience is built through mindset, community, and practical tools. In a time defined by uncertainty and constant change, employees are increasingly looking for support in navigating complexity. HR has a unique opportunity—and responsibility—to equip them with the resources, training, and environment needed to thrive. At Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), our People Strategy & Services team has been intentional about strengthening our own resilience so we can better support and empower our workforce to deliver on PCORI's important mission -to help people make informed healthcare decisions, and improve healthcare delivery and outcomes, by producing and promoting high-integrity, evidence-based information that comes from research guided by patients, caregivers, and the broader healthcare community. To navigate change effectively and achieve meaningful goals, resilience isn’t optional—it’s essential.

At Okta, the People Team has a simple job: help Okta move faster and grow more. One way we’re doing that is by radically simplifying how work gets done. We’ve set ourselves an ambitious goal: give 100,000 hours back to our employees by simplifying and automating People processes — freeing up time and energy to focus on what matters most: our customers, innovation and growth. I recently sat down with UNLEASH to talk about how we’re approaching this, what we’re changing, and why I believe the People function has an important role to play in removing friction and helping the business move faster.
