Unfortunately, I received news yesterday that my offer has been rescinded. I’ve come to the conclusion that things happen for a reason — I’m hoping that to all those affected, this will open the door to even better opportunities and encounters that may come our way. That being said, I’m currently looking for roles in Frontend (React) or Full-Stack Development. I’m a fast learner with experience working in all things web through contracted positions and internships. I'd love to work on something making an impact to the world. I usually don’t like posting about new positions and whatnot on LinkedIn, but I’m way too excited about this major life event to not share with my network. I didn’t imagine starting my career from home, but despite that I couldn’t be happier. I’ve been extremely blessed to be surrounded by wonderful mentors, motivated friends and supportive family and I try to practice gratitude as much as I can. If you were there for me when I needed it —no matter how trivial you may think it was— thank you. If you believed in me when I didn’t, thank you. You had more of an impact than you know. #google #noogler

Last week, my family experienced an unimaginable loss. My sister, Wendy Tam, passed away at just 25 after a two-year battle with mucinous ovarian cancer (MOC) — a rare and poorly understood subtype that accounts for only about 3% of ovarian cancers. Because of its rarity, research and treatment options are extremely limited. Throughout her care at Stanford Department of Medicine, Sutter Health, and with integrative support, Wendy faced every challenge with courage, humor, and resilience. To honor her legacy and help advance research for this underfunded disease, we’ve established The Wendy Tam MOC Research Fund. Farbod Rafezy liked thisFarbod Rafezy liked thisI've been at Morgan Stanley for about 3 months now as a Product Manager, and I already have a new appreciation for how much I didn't know. Coming from an engineering background at Amazon, I thought I understood how products got built. Turns out, I understood how 𝘤𝘰𝘥𝘦 gets built. Product management is a completely different muscle — understanding user needs, making trade-offs, navigating stakeholder priorities, learning entire domains from scratch (I can now talk about ACH vs. check settlement, which was definitely not on my bingo card six months ago). I'm working on bill pay experiences, and it's fascinating how something that seems simple on the surface ("let people pay their bills") has so much complexity underneath. Payment rails, settlement timing, regulatory requirements, different user needs... there's a reason people spend entire careers in this space. The best part? I'm surrounded by people who 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 spent careers in this space and are patient enough to teach someone who's still figuring out the basics. Special thanks to Chad Bernstein for taking a chance on me and providing guidance as I find my footing, and to Jesse Siegel whose 15+ years of payments experience has been an incredible resource. My technical leads and the entire team have been generous with their time and knowledge — I'm learning something new every day. If you're thinking about switching from engineering to product (or any career pivot, really), it's humbling, but in a good way. Farbod Rafezy liked thisFarbod Rafezy liked thisLast month, I traveled to the Meta Tokyo office to present the Threads API Roadmap at the Threads API Summit event. This was the first time we organized a Threads API Summit in Japan. We hosted 70+ people from 40+ businesses across developers, brands, agencies, and media companies, making this the biggest Threads API Summit of the year! After the event, we had the opportunity to talk directly to attendees and answer questions that they had about the API documentation and Threads in general. Overall, the event was a huge success and I'm excited to see more products integrated with Threads API! Special thanks to Koji, Mark, Joana, Paari, Steve, Nick, and everyone else who helped plan this amazing event!

Farbod Rafezy liked thisFarbod Rafezy liked thisI just finished my first week of monthly 1:1s with students in LinkedIn’s Possibilities in Tech’s Class of 2029, and my heart is full from everyone being so engaged and open to sharing about their college experience to date. I can’t help but reflect (and finally share 🤭) on how this positive momentum started a few months ago… Back in June, Tori Goyette and I planned and hosted the scholarship program’s annual Freshmen Kickoff and Sophomore Tech Intensive, a 3-day, 3-night trip where we invite our two newest cohorts to LinkedIn HQ. This post would go on for ages if I recapped every moment of innovation, inspiration, and impact, so here’s a shortlist of my favorite memories instead: 🎉 Feeling everyone’s genuine joy when we surprised them with bundt cakes to celebrate our June birthdays and a CA classic, In-N-Out 💪🏻 Seeing how locked in our Sophomores were during the hackathon, such as those who were in the exact same position the next morning as the night before, and the amazing camaraderie between everyone during presentations 😴 Tori and I unknowingly transitioning from our last logistics huddle to talking nonstop about tech, community, and everything else in between with our strongest night owls on the last night Seeing this trip come to life was easily one of the highlights of my summer, and it wouldn’t have been possible without all hands on deck… flowers for you all!! Last week, 60+ Year Up United interns at LinkedIn ended their 6-month internship and graduated from their yearlong program. Before meeting this crew, I knew they would be talented and resilient, but wow, did they show me so much more. These young professionals are extremely driven, have tremendous grit, and (for a lack of better words) are genuinely amazing human beings. To the LI YUU Jul25 Cohort, congrats again on achieving this milestone and thank you for letting me be a part of your journey. Y’all will always hold a special place in my heart. See projectA peer-to-peer parking sharing platform that allows people with parking to rent out their unused spots. I created the Swift iOS client and REST API using Django Rest Framework (python) and PostgreSQL. The user interface abstracts complex backend parking availability data structures to easy-to-use app functionality. I deployed the first beta using Google Cloud Platform and Apple TestFlight to over 30 beta testers.

- Developed at HackUCI 2019 and won “Best Mobile/Web Application” out of over 70 submissions
- Uses JavaScript with jQuery and regular expressions to find and parse important job information on web pages
- Syncs saved job information in real time using Firebase with options to export data to Excel spreadsheet format -

LA Hacks
"Skim - Ctrl-F In Real Life" is a mobile application designed to find phrases in non-digital text, such as textbooks and legal documents. It was one of the top 20 projects at LA Hacks among over 100 projects.
- Developed iOS app using Swift LA Hacks 2017 and won “Top-20 Hack” out of hundreds of entries
- Interfaces with Microsoft Cognitive Services API using network calls for instant Optical Character Recognition
