We surveyed more than 100 transformation leaders to find out. Our findings? The biggest barrier is resistance to change. The organizations that succeed recognize that transformation strategy is only part of the equation. People also need to be ready, willing, and able to work differently. David Jensen reposted thisDavid Jensen reposted thisOld maps don’t work in new worlds. Last week, we hosted 80 global CEOs, thought leaders, and public policy voices at this year’s Kearney Global Business Policy Council CEO Retreat for an unflinching look at the seismic forces reshaping the global operating environment. We explored what it means to lead in a multipolar, fast-shifting world. From AI to critical minerals to fractured alliances, business leaders can no longer afford to sit on the sidelines of global change; we are central to shaping the outcomes. #Resilience, #foresight, and conviction must now sit alongside growth and efficiency as core imperatives for #leadership to lead through the uncertainty. The path ahead demands new compasses, and the courage to use them – but if we do, new frontiers potentially await. David Jensen liked thisI’m excited to share that I have been appointed Chief Technology & Transformation Officer at The Estée Lauder Companies Inc., expanding my responsibilities to lead our ongoing, enterprise-wide transformation while continuing to oversee Technology, Data & Analytics globally. This reflects something we know to be true inside the company: transformation is not a project to be planned and completed. At The Estée Lauder Companies, transformation is a constant – embedded in how we work, make decisions, and serve our consumers. It also brings to life our Beauty Commitments of transformation and agility: reimagining how we operate, adapting with speed, and creating a simpler, more connected company that can respond to consumers and seize new opportunities. Over the past 18 months, we have focused on building the technology-driven foundations to make that ambition real – from advancing our global commerce foundation with Shopify to simplifying shared services through our partnership with Accenture. In this expanded role, I’ll continue working with teams across the company to accelerate AI-enabled processes, build critical technology capabilities, and advance new ways of working. I’m grateful to Stephane de La Faverie and my colleagues across the company for their partnership and confidence. David Jensen liked thisDavid Jensen liked thisI'm excited to share that Jessica Shrum has been named senior vice president of strategy for Cox Enterprises. I've had the chance to watch Jessica build her career across Cox for nearly two decades now, and what's always stood out to me is how she leads — she doesn't just develop strategy, she's lived the operational side too, at both Cox Communications and Cox Automotive. That combination is rare, and it's exactly what we need as our family of businesses continues to grow in scale and complexity. In this role, Jessica will help shape how we grow and position our portfolio for the future in alignment with our longstanding purpose of leaving the world in a better place — bringing the same grounded, execution-focused approach that's defined her career so far. Jessica’s new role complements Andrew Davis, senior vice president, investments, whose focus on Cox’s minority investments is an increasingly important part of the Cox portfolio. Andrew continues to lead Socium Ventures, the company’s evergreen venture and growth investment firm, investing and partnering across growth technology sectors. I couldn't be more excited for what's ahead, for Jessica, Andrew and for all of us at Cox Enterprises. https://lnkd.in/eQ-T3wXpCox Enterprises Names Jessica Shrum Senior Vice President, Strategy - Cox EnterprisesCox Enterprises Names Jessica Shrum Senior Vice President, Strategy - Cox Enterprises

David Jensen liked thisDavid Jensen liked thisThis just made my day and its only 8am 😍 A couple of years ago, I was invited to be a visiting professor at ISM University of Management and Economics for a short course to teach applied AI to their entrepreneurship students. University is a pivotal phase of life, especially for those that struggle with anxiety, overwhelm or for those who have ADHD and can really shape the trajectory of peoples futures and is highly dependent on: 1) Our environment 2) The systems that support us 3) People & values around us As I’ve spent more time at ISM they have inspired me around how they craft an environment for learning and 🇱🇹Lithuania is a beautiful place for quiet reflection and thinking which is why I love spending time there. When it comes to systems, how can we reduce our overwhelm and anxiety, by having scaffolding that organises our thoughts, tasks and how we spend our time to helps us focus and make progress on our own personal goals -> This is the core focus that we’re working on at Humble AI For people - we are the average of those around us and especially the quality of the human connections that we keep (even more so in a world of AI). Encouraging more people to navigate with curiousity and not judgement or fear, to create psychologically safe environments to experiment is an underrated trait in entrepreneurship and especially in Europe - and so for me, this is why I really love this award. I’m a big believer in the power, creativity and imagination of youth and if we find the right ways of working together with diverse minds, we can solve the challenges we face. Massive thank you to all my students who put me forward for this - stay optimistic, stay human and stay humble ;)

AI may prove as transformative as the steam engine, the printing press, or the internet. But the U.S.’s ability to lead in AI will depend on our ability to power the growth of our "AI factories". Conversations around this topic in 2025 can easily turn bleak — policy uncertainty, clogged interconnection queues, extensive permitting delays, long equipment lead times, and rising electricity costs for consumers. That said, it's been energizing to speak with companies and investors focused on getting deals done that showcase our capacity for progress. Here are a few recent deals that caught my attention: -Google Advanced Energy X NextEra Energy - restarting a 600MW Iowa nuclear plant to serve future data-center demand. -US Gov't X Brookfield Corporation X Cameco - $80B program to accelerate deployment of next-gen nuclear reactors nationwide. -Emerald AI X Nvidia X Digital Realty X EPRI X PJM - deploying dynamic AI load orchestration at a 96MW VA datacenter to enable the first power-flexible "AI factory" -Bloom Energy X Brookfield - $5B partnership to finance fuel-cell projects targeting data-centers. -Crusoe Energy X Mubadala (and others) - ~$1.4B Series E, to expand cleaner, distributed compute and energy solutions. What else caught your attention?

It's always a pleasure to read the work of my high school classmate, Bhaskar Chakravorti now the eminent Dean of Global Business at Tufts University's Fletcher School. In his latest article, Bhaskar cuts through the hype of the "big AI" bubble and makes a powerful argument for focusing on "small AI." He provides a clear-eyed look at the massive, untapped opportunity to use simpler, focused AI to solve urgent problems in the developing world, from food security to financial inclusion. For any of my connections in tech and product development, this is a fantastic read that re-centers the "why" of what we build.

Chapter 51. Who Will Fund Our National Metaverse? The Race to Build the Future is On. It's no longer a question of if a national metaverse and a system of digital twins will exist—it's a question of when. The technology is here, the vision is clear, and the demand for smarter, more efficient governance and financial services is undeniable. The path is likely to unfold exactly as we’ve described: - a SimCity-style digital twin, powered by banks, governments, and citizen-centric apps like MyLife and MyBusiness. But this begs the most crucial question: - who will own and fund this immense undertaking? The capital investment is staggering, and with immense power comes immense responsibility. The options are on the table, and each has its pros and cons: - • Governments They have the mandate and the vision. But can they secure the funding and execute with the speed and agility required for a project of this scale? • Banks They are the natural gatekeepers, already creating the first generation of digital citizens. But should a single, private sector be the sole owner of a nation's digital infrastructure? • Big Tech These giants have the resources and the infrastructure. But do we risk ceding sovereignty and control to a few powerful corporations? • The Citizens Should this be a public, tokenized project? Could citizens fund the development of their own digital future on specialized platforms, ensuring decentralized ownership from day one? The answer, we believe, is a collaborative model—a true partnership that combines the vision of the public sector, the expertise of the private sector, and the trust of the citizens. At Bavarsity, we are not just observers of this new digital world; we are builders. We have the foundational technology, the consortium of international expertise, and a purpose-driven model to make this a reality. We invite governments, banks, and forward-thinking citizens to engage in a new kind of partnership. Let’s co-create the framework for a national digital twin that serves everyone. Let's not wait for the future to arrive; let's build it, together. Contact us to discuss how we can JV with you and your country to lead this charge. #Bavarsity #DigitalTwin #Metaverse #JV #PublicPrivatePartnership #FutureOfFinance #Fintech #SmartNation #Finrocket #andrewest

Jamie Dimon's recent interview cuts through the hype on AI, delivering a stark, pragmatic view that every business leader should note. He's not just bullish; he's specific about the economic and societal shifts ahead. His core message: AI is "completely real," "extremely transformative," and fundamentally different from the internet due to its "high capital usage." Here are his key points on AI's economic impact: It's an Inflationary Force: Dimon identifies the "large, growing capital needs for AI and infrastructure" as a key factor contributing to persistent inflation. This isn't just software; it's a massive build-out of data centers and energy. The Productivity is Real: This isn't theoretical. At JP Morgan, Dimon reports $2 billion to $2.5 billion in identified benefits from AI. He notes specific process improvements (like in AML/KYC) can lead to a 40% reduction in headcount and that Gen AI is already reducing coding times by 30%. 💡 A Blunt Warning on Jobs: Dimon is unequivocal: "AI will eliminate jobs, and people should stop denying this fact." He warns that forcing highly-paid workers into low-wage jobs without a plan could lead to a "revolution." A Dual Call to Action: For Business: Companies must be investing in and using AI now. Dimon is sending his own management teams to AI master classes. For Government: He calls for "thoughtful regulations" and slams the "crippling" permitting processes that are slowing down the essential energy and data center infrastructure AI requires. Dimon's perspective is clear: AI is a massive productivity driver, but it's also a capital-intensive inflationary pressure that comes with a non-negotiable societal cost (job displacement) that we must manage proactively. https://lnkd.in/gAz6wUti

What does it mean to build a resilient, human-centered business ecosystem in an era where digital and physical realms are increasingly intertwined? In my recent publication with the American Phygital Association (APA), I explore the emergence of the Phygital Economy; a transformative paradigm that redefines business operations by integrating immersive and extended technologies with human-centric values. This model is not merely about technological adoption or integration; it is about forging meaningful connections, fostering innovation, and generating positive social impact in today's hybrid economies. The article outlines foundational pillars shaping this evolution: ✅ Human-Centric Strategy: Prioritizing human experience within phygital environments is essential for creating authentic engagement and long-term value. ✅ Immersive Insights: Businesses must leverage experiential data and behavioral understanding to inform strategic decisions and anticipate consumer needs. ✅ Competitive Advantage: A resilient transformation requires a holistic approach that integrates social, environmental, and economic dimensions. ✅ Transformative Experiences: The fusion of physical and digital elements enables emotionally resonant experiences that strengthen customer loyalty. ✅ Holistic Leadership: Visionary leaders must embrace diversity, inclusion, and emerging technologies such as VR, AR, and AI to enhance human experiences and guide sustainable innovation. The Phygital Economy invites us to rethink business models as a hybrid platform for societal progress an enhanced innovation and engagement. In a world defined by volatility and rapid change, organizations that anticipate what’s coming can gain a decisive edge. In a recent Medium post, Martino Agostini makes a compelling case that AI is transforming foresight from a slow, exclusive process into something faster, more scalable, and accessible. If you lead strategy, innovation, or change, this article is a must-read. It lays out not just what AI can do, but how we must manage its risks to keep foresight both powerful and trustworthy. Take a few minutes to read the full piece; it’s worth the time. https://ow.ly/kJ8u50WWCFT #StrategicForesight #AI #HAX #HumanCentricAI

I’m pleased to share this new FoBTV conversation with Kevin Benedict. We explored a question that sits at the center of my work: how do leaders move beyond trend-watching and build the capacity to rehearse the future? The future rarely arrives as one clean disruption. It shows up as pressure moving across domains — science, technology, economics, society, geopolitics, philosophy and the environment — until old assumptions can no longer carry the load. That is why I believe leaders need new ways to think about possibility. In this discussion, Kevin and I talk about pressures, possibility chains, pathways, and decision spaces as a practical way to understand how change connects, compounds, and eventually reshapes the choices in front of us. The goal is not to predict one future. It is to see more clearly how multiple futures could form, and what leaders can do before those futures arrive as crisis. Grateful to the FoBTV team for helping bring this conversation forward.
