Cole Corcoran shared thisGreat opportunity for my CPA followers to check out LCvista's newest acquisition and hear from some thought leaders in the firm mobility/licensure space!Cole Corcoran shared thisCPA licensure and mobility rules are moving faster than most firms can track, and few can say with real confidence which states their people are cleared to practice in right now. On August 26, Lindsay Patterson, Chief Regulatory Strategy Officer at LCvista (formerly CEO of CPA QualityPro), joins Boyd Search, President and CEO of the Georgia Society of CPAs, and Mark Rothert, CEO of LCvista, for a live, unscripted conversation on what's actually changing in CPA mobility this year and what it means for your firm. You'll walk away with: → A clear read on what's shifting with CPA mobility and licensure in 2026, including the 120-hour pathway → The most common renewal and registration mistakes firms are making right now → A look at how LCvista and CPA QualityPro bring together one view of exactly who's ready to practice, and in which states → The chance to ask Lindsay, Boyd, and Mark your questions directly during the session This is a live conversation, so bring your questions. Cole Corcoran reposted thisCole Corcoran reposted thisToday, I'm excited to share that LCvista has acquired CPA QualityPro, a leading provider of license management and state mobility solutions for the accounting profession. We keep hearing from firms that they need a scalable way to track professional readiness — whether their firm and their people are ready to practice right now, for this client, on this engagement, in this state. As they expand across geographies and service lines, that answer increasingly determines which opportunities firms can confidently pursue. But answering that question is increasingly complicated, thanks to varying requirements by state, regular rule changes, and the recent introduction of alternative pathways. With CPA QualityPro, we’re bringing together CPE compliance, learning, and now licensure and mobility, to give firms a single source of truth for readiness, so they can pursue and staff new work with confidence. I've had the chance to get to know Lindsay Patterson and the CPA QualityPro team over the past several months, and have been truly impressed by the depth of their licensing and mobility expertise. I’m excited to combine that expertise with LCvista’s strengths in learning and CPE compliance to give our clients the clearest, most complete view of professional readiness.

Cole Corcoran shared thisHad a great time at the BDO Alliance USA event in Boston tonight. Despite the rain and cancellation of the game (no 15th win for the streak tonight!), was good to connect with so many passionate and innovative folks in the accounting space. A big thanks to all those involved in the event, including Michael Horwitz Kathy Sautters (Towne) Jim Fahey Antonette N. Looking forward to continuing our partnership with BDO and its member firms! Cole Corcoran shared thisThis will be such a great event! For my accounting folks, make sure to give this one a look.Cole Corcoran shared thisMost firms can report attendance, completions, and CPE hours. Fewer can answer what matters more: Did people learn? Do they still know it? Can they do the work? On June 24, Gary Allison, Director of Learning Applications at Spiirall by LCvista, is hosting a live webinar introducing the Prove It Framework, a practical approach to measuring real learning impact. In 45 minutes, Gary will cover: - Why activity metrics tell only part of the story - The four levels of the Prove It Framework: Learning, Retention, Application, and Readiness - Practical ways to measure impact at each level, regardless of budget or tech stack Register using the link in the first comment.

Cole Corcoran reposted thisCole Corcoran reposted thisScaling learning and development is becoming a bigger priority for accounting firms, but adding more work to already stretched teams is not a sustainable plan. LCvista is helping firms address that challenge with Plus, a platform designed to help accounting firms support more learners, manage credential complexity and make better decisions with readiness dashboards. As Mark Rothert, CEO of LCvista, explains, “talent development is the key to staying ahead of their competitors.” For firms trying to grow, retain talent and build future-ready skills, the path forward starts with scalable professional readiness. Cole Corcoran shared thisSuch a great opportunity for those in the accounting space looking to level up their compliance management and general L&D approach!Cole Corcoran shared thisAs firms grow, learning and compliance teams manage more learners, more credentials, and more data. Often with the same resources. This makes it hard for readiness teams to support the firm and ensure everyone is ready to practice, wherever they practice. That's why we built LCvista Plus, and on May 27, our CPO Laura Silver, is hosting a live session to show you exactly how it works. In 45 minutes, Laura will cover: - Advanced credit automation across live programs, LinkedIn Learning, and external completions to support more learners - Credential policy management to help ensure professionals have the right licenses and credentials to practice - Dashboards that give readiness teams clearer visibility into progress, trends, and opportunities to improve sooner - Live Q&A to address your questions and priorities If Plus is on your radar, or just thinking ahead, we'd love to see you there. Cole Corcoran liked thisCole Corcoran liked thisIf I had a nickel for every time a CAS leader told me: "Our new hires don't know how to book a journal entry," I could retire. Or at least cover my dark chocolate habit. How is it possible? Is it over-reliance on technology that books the entry for you? Is it a generation not paying attention in class? Is it curriculum that rushes past the fundamentals to get to the "interesting" stuff? My guess is a little of all three. Here's the thing though: you can't become a trusted advisor without understanding how business actually works. Accounting is the language of business, and debits and credits are its grammar. You can't give strategic advice in a language you can only half read. A cardiologist can order an echo, a stress test, and a full lab panel. But if she can't take a pulse with two fingers and a watch, something has gone badly wrong in her training. The fancy tools are only useful to the person who understands what they're measuring. The same goes for CAS. Your software can post the entry, but only someone who knows the fundamentals can tell when it posted it wrong or explain to a client what it means for their business. That's why our CAS curriculum starts with the accounting basics. Advisory is built on that foundation. There's no skipping ahead to the boardroom. #accountingfundamentals, #IloveLucaPacioli

We stopped in and were checking out the archery section and my friend who is BLIND since birth said "man it would be cool to shoot a bow and arrow" They have an indoor test range and just at that time a manager walks by and asks if we need help. I said, "my friend and I were hoping it may be possible for him to try shooting a bow"(my friend is clearly blind). 🏹 The manager stood there, thought about it, assessed the situation, and said "I'd love for you guys to have that experience today"!!!! 🤩🔥 I swear I could hear my friends heart beating out of his chest as he sent an arrow down range. Thwap! It was amazing 🎯 Jay's is a big store, but not too big to act small. Thanks again Jay's and all your amazing staff for giving us a memory-making experience. If I wasn't already a loyal customer...... And then we ate Hamburgers. And thanks CygnusAI for giving me a long weekend to go play in the woods :)

On September 24, Matthew Bitz of Rightworks and Jim Boomer will explore how firms are identifying practical AI applications, evaluating new tools against their existing technology and deciding who should lead adoption internally. For firm leaders, that creates a more disciplined path from experimentation to implementation. Register here: https://boomer.link/olh #FirmLeadership #AI #AccountingTechnology #BusinessStrategy

Cole Corcoran liked thisIf you're a CPA, please read Mark's post and complete the *very important* survey he links to. We need to evolve the way we think about CPE - not just counting hours, but actually demonstrating competency. It’s one of the reasons I’m especially excited to be heading to Nashville this week for NASBA's National Registry Summit. I’m looking forward to learning more about the standards, but I'm even more excited to talk with others in the profession about what CPE could (and should) look like going forward. Lots of important conversations ahead!Cole Corcoran liked thisCPE has always been part of the framework of the accounting profession. But the when, where, and how that learning actually happens is shifting. I'm co-chairing the AICPA and NASBA task force behind a national survey that's live right now, and it could reshape how CPAs approach continuing education. Here's why I think it matters. The Conversation Our Profession Keeps AvoidingThe Conversation Our Profession Keeps AvoidingMark Soticheck II, CPA

We asked Ty what he enjoys most about working at FuseWorks: 💬 “Every person in this business is exceptionally talented.
