We were busy in discussions with customers, partners, HHS leaders and innovators who share a common goal: making a meaningful difference in how human services are delivered. And what an incredible few days it has been. One of the highlights was seeing the conversation around Oli amplified through our session with DCAS leadership, as we explored how cloud, AI and modernization are coming together in a real-world integrated eligibility transformation. It reinforced something we strongly believe: innovation becomes meaningful when it is grounded in the realities of agencies, programs and the people doing the work every day. At our booth, SmartAssist—and especially Oli—became a focal point for conversations throughout the conference.Purpose-built AI for HHS, natural-language access to case intelligence, and contextual guidance within the caseworker workflow generated tremendous interest and thoughtful discussions. Equally valuable were the conversations beyond our booth. Our engagements with technology partners, agency leaders and others across the HHS ecosystem opened exciting discussions around modernization, collaboration and where we can create impact together. We came to Spokane wanting to share what D2Sol is building. We leave with something even more valuable: new ideas, stronger relationships, potential partnerships and an even clearer understanding of where HHS is heading. Thank you to everyone who spent time with us, challenged our thinking, shared your experiences and explored possibilities with the D2Sol team. Deep HHS expertise. Modern engineering. Innovation with purpose. #D2Sol #ISMGEG2026 #HealthAndHumanServices #HHS #AI #Modernization #IntegratedEligibility #SmartAssist #Oli

Brian Wilbon liked thisBrian Wilbon liked thisAfter more than 25 years in project, program, and executive leadership—and nearly two decades with Acentra Health and its predecessor organization—I recently retired from my corporate career. I'm deeply grateful for that chapter of my life. I had the privilege of working with exceptional people, leading large and complex initiatives, building lasting client relationships, and learning more about leadership, perseverance, and trust than I could summarize in a post. For me, retirement from one career never meant retirement from meaningful work. For some time, I've thought about what I wanted life to look like as I continue to grow. I wanted to take what I've learned over a career and invest it in work that is connected to something that has mattered to me throughout my life: advancing and strengthening Christ's church. That opportunity came through the multi-media organization of the Christian Reformed Church of North America called ReFrame Ministries, where I've begun serving on the advancement team in Church & Donor Relations. It's a different mission from the one I've spent much of my professional life pursuing, but I'm discovering that many of the things I've learned along the way translate remarkably well. At its heart, this work is also about people, relationships, trust, stewardship, and a shared purpose. I'm thankful for the career I've had, for the people who were part of it, and for the opportunity to begin this next chapter while I'm young enough to enjoy it. I bring with me the same values that I hope were evident in me throughout my career. I didn't always live up to what I aspired to be at work, but I became better than I would have been had I not had the opportunity to know many of you. For that, I am grateful.

Brian Wilbon liked thisBrian Wilbon liked thisMany of the hardest problems in government aren't caused by a lack of good people or good ideas. More often, the challenge is fragmentation. One agency may have the authority. Another may control the funding. An elected official brings an understanding of the community, while a local partner sees how the issue plays out every day. Each person holds part of the answer, but no one can solve the problem alone. That's why bringing the right people together matters. When I'm helping lead a conversation like this, the goal isn't simply to get through the agenda. It's to make sure the problem is clearly understood, responsibilities are defined, and the next steps don't disappear when the meeting ends. To me, that's government affairs at its best: connecting people, perspectives, and resources in a way that moves the work forward. The meeting is important. What happens afterwards is what counts. #GovernmentAffairs. #PublicService #Leadership

Federal funding has entered a new era—one where responsibility, risk, and decision-making authority now rest heavily on state administrators. As funding landscapes evolve, so must our strategies for securing, managing, and defending federal dollars. I’m proud of the work our team at Witt O'Brien's has contributed to the State Federal Funding Readiness Roadmap, and I’m sharing this resource with state leaders and partners who are navigating these shifts. This roadmap outlines five critical domains that position states to compete for funding, safeguard public resources, and deliver measurable results for communities. Thanks to the Witt O’Brien’s team for driving this important resource forward, and to all the state leaders committed to strengthening grant execution and outcomes. Download the roadmap and start preparing today.

The Anatomy of a Winning Federal Proposal A winning federal proposal is more than a well-written response to an RFP. It brings together capture strategy, customer understanding, compliance, a strong technical approach, evidence, differentiation, and disciplined review. The strongest proposals make it easy for evaluators to understand three things: what you will do, how you will do it, and why they should believe you can deliver. At Nascence Group, our proposal support focuses on connecting strategy with execution - from opportunity identification and capture intelligence to proposal development, compliance support, and reviews. Because a strong federal proposal isn't just a response to an RFP. It's a clear, evidence-based case for why your team can successfully support the government's mission. #FederalContracting #GovCon #ProposalDevelopment #FederalProposals #CaptureManagement #ProposalManagement #GovernmentContracting #RFP #BusinessDevelopment #NascenceGroup
