Ben Gabler reposted thisBen Gabler reposted thisBen Gabler has been in the hosting industry for 24 years. Most recognized as Founder and CEO of Rocket.net, the 167th fastest growing company in 2025 on inc5000. Prior to launching Rocket, Ben spent time building product and running teams at various companies including HostNine, Hostgator.com, UK2Group, GoDaddy, StackPath, and Sectigo. Ben will be speaking on the panel: After You Win: The Second Act of the First Hosting Pioneers Before cloud became an industry, there was a first generation of hosting companies that proved the Internet could be a business. The founders behind those companies built, scaled, and exited at a time when there was no roadmap. Ben Gabler shared thisExciting day at Rocket.net as we launched a massive update to our website: https://rocket.net Not only did we convert our entire site from ACF Classic to Blocks (allowing us to go from wireframe/mockup to draft page in less than 60 seconds), but we've incorporated all of the recent AI development we've done, including our easy to use MCP Integration. We also created a new page covering our WP Umbrella partnership, which has already saved some customers up to $4,000 a year! We have some more exciting things in the works, so stay tuned! #wordpress #ai #hosting

Ben Gabler shared thisYesterday, we announced a partnership I have been trying to make happen for years. Since 2020, we have been delivering WordPress at scale for thousands of agencies at Rocket.net and as of June 1, their experience got even better, thanks to our partnership with WP Umbrella! I've been following Aurelio Volle's journey practically since day one and continue to be impressed by not only him, but his incredible team behind their software. Now you may be asking, could we have built this? Sure, but if we did, #1, it would be nowhere near as good as WP Umbrella, but #2, it would be a huge distraction away from what we really excel at: delivering WordPress as fast and secure as possible, backed by industry leading support with a 98% CSAT. Now, our agency customers get the best of all world's with our platform and what I believe to be the best WordPress Agency Management Tools. The best part is? Our customers simply just sign up or login to WP Umbrella and that's it! We worked with WP Umbrella so sites are automatically detected to be on our platform and those sites are now completely FREE for our agencies. That's right, Rocket.net is covering the bill for your WP Umbrella sites that we host. #wordpress #partnership #agency #saas I look forward to an incredible future together as we take this partnership even further with some exciting new features and direct integrations on both the Rocket side and the WP Umbrella side! Ben Gabler shared thisBusy week, really excited for my upcoming talk at PressConf this Friday at 9:15 am - BEYOND THE EXIT: HOW I SOLD IN, NOT OUT. After our announcement (Rocket.net joining hosting.com) at WCUS, I had tons of people come to me confidentially with questions about the process. When I met with Raquel Manriquez months ago, PressConf seemed like the perfect opportunity to share my journey with other entrepreneurs and leaders. In this session, I'm going to dive into everything from the early 2000's to today, focusing heavily on what the M&A process looked like for me, including all of the details you never read online.

Ben Gabler shared thisIt's been an incredible week at CloudFest. Not only catching up with vendors and friendships established for well over twenty years, but we were able to officially launch our very first product at hosting.com - https://lnkd.in/ezYkDQtE So far, the adoption rate has been mind-blowing, underscoring that the hosting landscape is changing. Our market size just went from big to gigantic, thanks to tools like our AI Application Studio, which make it easier than ever for users to create an online presence. We're already seeing website and web app creation, and tons of other really cool ideas coming to life faster than ever. As we continue this journey, we will also invest heavily in WordPress across our business. We are beyond excited for the WordPress 7.0 release, so we can start building some game-changing features on top of what's been an incredible CMS for well over 20 years. At the end of the day, we want to enable our customers to achieve maximum success with hosting.com, but we also want to build one platform that can serve all of your needs. Whether you're looking to no-code a simple landing page or connect and deploy your Next.js application to our secure infrastructure, or continue to deploy WordPress in the fastest, most secure hosting environment, we've got you covered.

Ben Gabler liked thisBen Gabler liked thisI'm back at it, building what I believe could be my biggest business yet. OpeningMove.com is a sales and marketing platform for traditional businesses. I'm looking for someone entrepreneurial to join me at this early stage. The ideal person has: - Deep CRM experience, perhaps in a product management or sales role at a CRM provider. - Strong go-to-market and sales skills. - An appetite for building a business from the ground up. A little about me: I've had five exits, all over $10M, including a $135M exit in 2018. My most recent was in 2024. I'm self-funding OpeningMove through product-market fit. If this sounds like you or someone you know, I'd love to connect. Any intros would be appreciated.

Ben Gabler liked thisBen Gabler liked thisToday I would like to introduce Managed.com, our platform for the agentic AI era. When I started HostPapa in 2006, the mission was simple: give small businesses the best web hosting experience anywhere. Over twenty years the products may have changed, cloud, WordPress, enterprise-grade email, but the mission never did. We grew organically and by acquiring companies we believed in and integrating them onto our HostPapa platform, and became one of the largest independently owned providers in our market. In 2023 we added Deluxe Corporation’s web hosting and logo design businesses, along with ColoCrossing, our infrastructure company, and Hostopia, the wholesale delivery platform hundreds of partners rely on to serve millions of customers. We followed up on this in 2025 by acquiring CloudBlue from Ingram Micro (known in our industry for years as Parallels and Odin), a channel commerce enablement and automation platform supporting hundreds of channel partners and with hundreds of ISVs in its marketplace. Now we bring it all together. Managed.com is the common foundation our brands are building on. What stays? Our brands, their names and their customers. What changes? One company, one direction, and one platform built to deliver more for the AI era than any single brand could alone. Why now? Because AI is changing what businesses need from us. Small businesses expect outcomes, not tools: a website that gets found by humans and by agents, a store that sells with AI agents assisting, an inbox that runs itself. Enterprises and developers want infrastructure to run their AI models and workloads. Partners want billing built for the AI era across their entire channel, and sales enablement to offer AI-first services under their own name without having to build it alone. That is what Managed.com is: our customers and partners winning in the agentic AI era, while we manage the software, systems and infrastructure it runs on, so they can focus on their core mission. Behind all of it is the same experienced operating team that built these brands and runs them today: 750+ people in 40 countries, one company. More to come in the weeks ahead! Press release: https://lnkd.in/gkAfDaN8

Ben Gabler liked thisBen Gabler liked thisBack from a recharge month 🎌 📸 🍄🟫 🍱 🏔️ 🐚 🦦 Still at Hostinger- clarifying that for everyone who read only the first sentence of my last post and sent condolences 😅 ❤️ Real reason I'm posting: we're hiring product designers. AI lets anyone ship fast and cheap now, so most software from here on will tick every box and still be dead. Our CEO Giedrius Zakaitis set us a challenge: build delight in. Small things nobody asked for that make someone smile, or finally understand what they're looking at. Passing the acceptance criteria is the floor, not the bar. If that's your kind of problem, let's have a call or chat 🙌

Now that’s what you could call an edge.🤩 Daphne Jasmine Monro started her first WordPress agency at 19 and spent almost four years building and scaling it. Since then, she’s worked across agency, enterprise SEO and hosting, getting to know the WordPress ecosystem from very different angles. She’s also worked with brands like Tesco, Hotel Chocolat and Sally Beauty along the way. Today, she’s Global Head of Marketing at Learn to Trade, a global group running on WordPress. Most README badges are quietly costing your visitors a page-speed tax. The standard shields.io badge is a third-party image request. Four badges = four DNS lookups + four render-blocking image fetches on a page you don't control the cache headers for. On a repo landing page that's usually fine. On your product's docs or homepage, it shows up in your Core Web Vitals. There's also a quota trap nobody mentions: GitHub's public API allows 60 unauthenticated requests per hour per IP. If you fetch the star count client-side on every page load, a traffic spike means your badge starts rendering blank exactly when the most people are looking at it. Three things I'd check on any badge you embed outside a README: ─ Is the count cached server-side, or re-fetched on every single load? ─ Does it degrade gracefully when the API is rate-limited or down? ─ Is it an image (works in markdown) or a script (works on web pages)? Those are different jobs — use the right one for the right surface. Star counts are real social proof. It's worth 5 minutes to embed them in a way that doesn't slow the page down. What's on your README right now — badges, or a clean slate? 👇 #OpenSource #GitHub #DeveloperTools #WebPerformance #IndieDev #DevRel #CoreWebVitals #SaaS

I've been automating our own GTM at Warmly with with Warmly + Claude Code Agent SDK and here's what you need to do: 1. Integrate all your systems. For us it's HubSpot (CRM activity stream), Slack (internal discussions on deals), Sybill (call recording), BuiltWith (technographics), Warmly, (signals, chat conversations, enrichment/web research). Outreach for sequencing. APIs or bust for vendors 2. Use Warmly's TAM Agent to find the short list of high intent ICP companies and perfect buying committee contacts (no interns, just buyers). 500 accounts, 1500 contacts. Pull into Claude Code. 3. Use Claude Code to build territory mapping for AEs and SDRs. 15 per AE, 100+ per SDR. Map email inboxes. Just prompt this and save as an .md file the territory mapping. Then map this to Hubspot via the integration 4. Use Claude Code to query my systems in step 1 and build the full timeline on each of the accounts. "Closed lost, who visited the website, when did we engage last, what pages are they looking for, what was discussed on last demo call" 4. Use Octave API to write the perfect email outreach with full context from Step 3. Send this automatically to Outreach with tags and using custom fields for subject and email body. 5. Automatically sync the contacts directly to LinkedIn Ads. Results: - Ads: 50% reduction in CPC, 3x improvement in CTR for the exact same ad creative after a week of running. - Emails: Will let you know next week. Aleksandar Lepidovski running it right now! Okay here's the problems you run into: 1. You are going to iterate a lot with prompting Claude Code and context degrades quickly when you use MCPs. Claude code does its best to auto-compact but I've noticed that once it gets to 85% context window the memory degradation is already severe. 2. It takes a long time to pull the full context on the accounts once you get a short list of accounts to do deep research on. And by the time the context pulls you realize you missed something or claude didn't pull it right... so you burn through tokens (good thing claude code tokens are cheap for now) 3. Agents are stateless, which means once you close the session it loses all the context, so you need a way to build memory into the system if you want to run this job again. You'll use .MD guideline files for now and you try your best to use claude.md files to stitch together where to look, but you have no idea if the AI is reading in the right context and guideline files before it runs the job. So you pray. 4. You have no idea how to encode this into your existing human and workflow systems and how to scale it. Human systems are more deterministic (gets the job done) but do not compound alongside foundational model improvements. 5. You realize that shit data in means shit outputs and that's a whole can of worms that has nothing to do with LLMs. You don't want to manage this system even though it's the foundation. You start looking for Agent Harnesses for GTM (check the comments)

The traditional software development triangle of "Fast, Good, Cheap - pick two" is officially dead. The same AI-native workflow automations we build for clients just allowed us to compress weeks of high-stakes engineering into a single day. #softwareengineering #saas #productdevelopment #ainative #webdevelopment #seo https://lnkd.in/gd7gxN-c

I've been building CMS systems for 20 years. WordPress, Drupal, you name it, I've shipped more sites than I care to admit. One pattern has never changed: the teams that publish early and iterate consistently always win. So it's painful watching YC founders, brilliant people building incredible products, treat content as a "post-PMF problem." Here's what actually happens: 📉 Company A waits until after fundraising to think about content. Six months post-Demo Day, they have zero organic traffic and are burning cash on paid acquisition. 📈 Company B starts publishing in Week 1. By Demo Day, they have 50 indexed pages, ranking for long-tail keywords, with a steady stream of inbound leads. Six months later, that trickle is a river. The excuse used to be "we don't have time." But in 2026, AI has completely changed the equation. A 2-person startup can now run a content operation that rivals companies 10x their size: → AI agents that write, publish, and distribute content autonomously → Full-stack apps generated from a single text prompt → Automated workflows that cross-post to every platform We built Cosmic for exactly this. It's the AI-powered content platform that lets your tiny team operate like a 20-person marketing department, while you stay focused on building product. I wrote the full week-by-week playbook here: https://lnkd.in/gfFNCV84 If you're a YC founder (or any early-stage startup), I'd love to hear how you're thinking about content. What's working? What's not? #YCombinator #Startups #ContentMarketing #HeadlessCMS #AI

The Big Bite agency is now part of WP Engine: https://lnkd.in/e5pjbuV8. This could be a very interesting move for publishers using WordPress. Optimizing the WooCommerce checkout process is key for conversions. AJAX loading can speed things up, but avoid slowing the checkout page with too many upsells. A well-placed, compatible pre-order plugin with a coupon can work wonders. CheckoutWC and CartFlows offer Shopify-like experiences, but be mindful of compatibility and customization. #WooCommerce #eCommerce #CheckoutOptimization #ConversionRate #OnlineBusiness

📣 New Release: AesirX CMP for WordPress v2.0.2 📣 Stop the Phone-Home. Permanently. Most of us install plugins to solve problems. Few of us expect them to quietly phone home – sending data to third-party servers, fingerprinting devices, or dropping pixels that serve someone else’s agenda. That’s the phone-home problem. With CMP v2.0.2 for WordPress, you now have the choice to Block Permanently. ✅ Block Until Consent remains the default. ✅ Block Forever is now possible. If a plugin or script isn’t essential, you can stop it completely – even if users hit “Accept All.” Why it matters: 📉 Achieve data minimization by design for compliance. 🛡 Strengthen first-party control, reducing external vendor reliance. Use it for telemetry scripts, unwanted analytics beacons, or embeds that track by default. 🔗Read more https://lnkd.in/gbSD7d96 #GDPR #ePrivacy #WordPress #PrivacyFirst #DataProtection #Compliance #ConsentManagement #FirstPartyData #PrivacyByDesign #AuditReady #DigitalTrust #AesirX
