10 years. Millions of connections. Endless gratitude. 🌎✨ A decade ago, we launched Okta for Good with a simple mission: to build a safely connected world where everyone can belong and thrive. Today, as we celebrate our 10-year anniversary, we look back at the incredible collective impact made alongside our nonprofit partners, communities, and employees Thanks to our global network, we’ve crossed some historic milestones: 💵 $49.4M in cumulative cash contributed by Okta, our employees, and the Okta for Good Fund 💻 $95M in critical technology and services donated 🤝 13,500+ nonprofits supported through giving and volunteering 💼 141 interns welcomed as part of our workforce development initiatives 🌍 21 countries reached through grantmaking to build more equitable communities None of this would be possible without the nonprofits leading the change on the ground. Thank you for letting us be part of your journey. Let’s build the next decade of impact together! ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/eU7grFxi

Imagine walking into work tomorrow and finding out you have 500 new coworkers. Some already have access to company systems and are completing tasks. Others are talking to each other and sharing information. And you’re not entirely sure who’s doing what or is in charge. That sounds ridiculous when we’re talking about people. But it’s not that far off from the problem companies are starting to face with AI agents. While I was at Oktane, I sat down with Charlotte Wylie, Okta’s SVP and Deputy CSO, and Rebecca Port, PhD, Okta’s Chief People Officer, to talk about agents in the company org from two very different angles. Charlotte’s point of view was straightforward: we’ve spent nearly two decades learning how to secure human identities. Now we have to apply those same principles to AI agents. Groundwork that is laid out in the newly launched Blueprint Alliance to help organizations answer: Where are my agents? What can they do? What are they doing? And how do I respond if something goes wrong? Then Becks brought in the human side: If an AI agent is doing work within your company, there still needs to be a human in the loop, defining what it should do and being accountable for it. That was probably my biggest takeaway: AI agents may be a new type of identity, but the fundamentals still matter. Know what it is. Know what it can do. And who owns it. So here’s the question I left Oktane thinking about: If 500 AI agents showed up on your org chart tomorrow, would you be ready? #OktaPartner #Oktane26 Okta

September, in five headlines: → Biggest Oktane ever → Joined the Blueprint Alliance → Shipped Agent SSO → Launched Okta for AI Agents → Extended the Kill Switch Strip away the headlines, and it all comes down to four questions: Where are your agents? What can they do? What are they doing? How do you respond? Answer all four, and security stops being the tradeoff for innovation. It becomes the foundation for it. September's over. The work isn't.

If your AI agent were a real person, what kind of person they be? We asked attendees on the Oktane floor and this was the consensus: 🤓 The ultimate data nerd 🏃♂️ The overcaffeinated intern trying to solve everyone's problems 🙋 The first-day overachiever who’s just a little too confident Now, we're asking you—what kind of coworker would your AI agent be? Drop yours below! 👇

I think companies are making a mistake with AI. We keep telling employees they need to “embrace AI.” But are we actually teaching them how? That was one of my biggest takeaways from chatting with Rebecca Port, PhD, Chief People Officer at Okta. Okta isn’t just telling employees to use AI and figure it out. They’re giving them the resources to learn, assessing their AI proficiency, and helping them understand where they need to develop. Because our jobs ARE going to change. And one skill Becks kept coming back to was curiosity. How can AI help me? What parts of my job can it make easier? Where is it getting this answer? Can I trust what it produced? And I realized that same curiosity needs to exist at the company level too. Because no company has all the answers about where AI is going. That’s actually one of the reasons Okta helped launch the Blueprint Alliance. It brings companies across the industry together to figure out how we securely manage this new world of AI agents. I also spoke to Charlotte Wylie, Okta’s Deputy Chief Security Officer, who explained that it all starts with four pretty simple questions: Where are my AI agents? What can they do? What are they doing? How do I respond if something goes wrong? AI is moving way too quickly for any person OR company to assume they already have it all figured out.. Maybe the most important thing we can do right now is stay curious enough to keep asking the right questions. How is your company encouraging curiosity in this AI era?! ⬇️

🚀 Oktane 2026: a wrap on our biggest event yet. ICYMI, here's what we launched: 🤝 The Blueprint Alliance, a cross-industry coalition with AWS, CrowdStrike, Databricks, Deloitte, Google Cloud, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Wiz, and Zscaler, spotlighted live in our Wednesday keynote, advancing an open, multi-vendor architecture to answer four questions every enterprise needs answered: Where are my agents? What can they do? What are they doing? How do I respond? 🪪 Agent SSO, now generally available and included in core Okta SSO at no additional cost, brings first-class identity to Cross App Access-enabled AI agents—replacing static credentials with short-lived, identity-governed tokens and giving IT centralized visibility, policy, and control. 🔐 Okta for AI Agents, new innovations giving enterprises visibility, runtime security, and continuous governance across the agent lifecycle, including Shadow AI Agent Discovery for Endpoints, Agent-to-Agent Connections, Configuration Designer, and an expanded Kill Switch at the Agent Gateway. 🎤 A speaker lineup that brought together the boldest minds in security, AI, enterprise architecture, and peak performance, including Tony Hawk, Lindsey Vonn, and leaders from Anthropic, AWS, Dell, ADT, ServiceNow, and Rocket. Three days. One takeaway—Okta secures AI. Thank you for being part of it. See you at Oktane 2027. 🙌

"Everyone is going through the similar struggles with securing AI... talk to people and find out how they've suffered to maybe suffer a little less." 🤝 We caught up with attendees on the ground at Oktane to hear their biggest takeaways. The general consensus? No one has to solve the AI security puzzle in a vacuum: 🚀 The Shift: Things that used to be impossible are gradually becoming possible—especially with new agent gateway and security capabilities. 🛠️ The Reality: We all need hands-on experience, and Okta is actively building the tools to help us get it. 🛡️ The Community: Everyone is navigating the same AI learning curve, and the best shortcut is sharing our blueprints and lessons learned. Let us know—what was your biggest takeaway from Oktane?

At #Oktane26, a big theme emerged: In the age of AI agents, organisations face real confusion about how to move forward safely. The trade-off feels inevitable—lock agents down and lose their value, or let them run free and accept the risk. Until now. This week, #Okta announced a series of innovations—like endpoint detection, Agent SSO, and Auth for UCP—that give enterprises the visibility and control to deploy agents safely and at scale. But more importantly, we recognize this is bigger than one vendor. We’ve joined forces with industry leaders to form the Blueprint Alliance and co-author an open, multi-vendor reference architecture that answers the four key questions for securing and governing agents at enterprise scale. Watching our ecosystem of partners and customers rally around this mission was the highlight of the week. A massive thank you to the Okta team for pulling off an incredible event and for stepping up to meet this moment. This is our chance to give customers the clarity and confidence they need to secure AI and lead their industries forward.
