DreamHost

From Oregon chess champion at eight to Google Sheets enthusiast, Anthony Garcia is always thinking three moves ahead. That comes in handy as one of the “physical hands” behind DreamHost’s data center hardware, replacing bad drives, adding memory, and troubleshooting whatever has decided not to cooperate. Also: snowboarder, gamer, cat dad to Katniss, and yes, a man who made a Google Sheet for this interview. We’d expect nothing less. Meet Anthony 👉 https://lnkd.in/gRfy667k

It’s 5:30 p.m. You give your AI assistant something to keep an eye on overnight. Do you really want to leave your laptop open until morning? Probably not. With OpenClaw running on an always-on DreamHost VPS, you can close your laptop and call it a day. OpenClaw keeps working. OpenClaw 2.0 is now available in our VPS App Library with simpler setup, a rebuilt browser app, and shared sessions. Choose OpenClaw when you set up your VPS and it’ll be installed and running before you first log in. So yes, close the laptop at 5:30 and go do literally anything that isn’t staring at your laptop. Natalie P Hersey used to think DreamHost was the enemy. Oops. Before joining DreamHost, Nats worked at an outsourcing firm in Colombia that kept watching some of its best people leave for… DreamHost. She eventually did too. She joined our Tech Support team then moved to the People team less than a year later, and today, she helps build the training programs that support DreamHosters across the company. Also: certified barista, reality TV enthusiast, diamond painter, tattoo collector who cries through every session, and proud member of a seven-pet household. 🎥 Watch Nats’ story below. #DreamHost #EmployeeSpotlight #LifeAtDreamHost

Congrats, your Minecraft server is a hit! Unfortunately, your hosting bill noticed. That’s one reason Pelican Panel is one of five new apps we just added to the DreamHost VPS App Library. Run your own game servers, load them up with the mods and plugins you want, and don’t sweat bandwidth overages when everybody decides to log on at once. And that’s just one of the new arrivals: ✅ Pelican Panel: host and manage your own game servers ✅ Immich: back up the 14,000 photos on your phone to your own server ✅ Paperclip: coordinate AI agents, set budgets, and keep tabs on what they’re doing ✅ Umami: privacy-first web analytics, minus the ad network ✅ Uptime Kuma: monitor your sites, APIs, and services before a customer tells you they’re down They join Hermes Agent and four OS images we added in July. Pick an app when you provision your VPS, and we’ll install it on your server from the start. It can host game night, wrangle your AI agents, babysit your photo library, and keep an eye on your sites. Turns out a VPS can have hobbies too! See what’s new 👉 https://lnkd.in/gTW-hPC8

As a web developer, Jason Champion knew how to build websites. Building one that felt like his band was another story. When it came time to create a website for Zero Buffalo, he didn't want another months-long side project. He wanted something that captured the band's sound and personality without getting buried in the build. That's what led him to Remixer, our AI website and app builder. He described the experience he wanted to create: a dark aesthetic with brick red and orange accents, a persistent Bandcamp player that stayed with visitors as they explored, and a site that felt like Zero Buffalo. Then he kept refining it until it did. A few days later, the site was live. The first people to see it were his bandmates, Warren and Ricki. Their reaction wasn't, "Nice website." It was, "That's us." 📽️ Watch Jason's story below, then read the full customer spotlight: https://lnkd.in/gktiJN_D #Remixer #DreamHost #CustomerSpotlight #NoCode #WebDevelopment

After weeks of brainstorming and road mapping, we came to the humble conclusion that our 4th of July post from last year remains relevant, pertinent, and appropriately celebratory.
