Oualie Beach Resort is family owned 3 star small hotel located right on the beach in Oualie Bay on the leeward coast of Nevis, adjacent to the famous Lovers Beach. The Resort started as a simple beach bar on January 3rd, 1980 and the first 6 rooms were opened on November 16th, 1989. It has gradually evolved into an eco-sensitive 32 room beachfront property.

The owners are the Yearwoods, a large West Indian family with roots that trace 350 years back to England. Managing Director, John Yearwood, met his American wife, Karen, in West Africa and they have traveled extensively in Europe, Asia and Africa. These travels have helped them create the perfect Nevis beach hotel with excellent local & international cuisine, and a casual relaxed ambiance infused with the warm, friendly welcome of genuine Caribbean people.
The property’s management is passionately eco-friendly and employs sustainable tourism practices including solar water heaters, low energy lighting, water saving techniques and community development initiatives.
