Right Light in Shanghai

Lighting designers, energy consultants, NGO representatives and many others took the opportunity to visit Right Light 6 – the world's most prominent international conference on energy-efficient lighting, energy and environment – which took place in one of Asia’s most thrilling and dynamic cities.

Building on the extraordinary success of the previous five Right Light Conferences, the International Association for Energy Efficient Lighting (IAEEL), in association with the internationally supported China Greenlights Project, held Right Light 6 in Shanghai, China 9-11 May 2005.

This was the first time the conference was held outside of Western Europe. The change in venue recognises the fact that Asia has taken on a leading position in driving the world lighting markets. Further, lighting energy use (and resulting emissions) is growing most rapidly in East Asia, so the conference was held where the biggest impacts of energy efficient lighting can be made.

Some 100 papers and posters of high quality was accepted for presentation at the conference. All papers and presentations are available on this web site.
