Update: Process-One website is online again

Just to let you know what happens on Process-one website: we have encountered a hardware crash on our server (For the third time this year and this is not the same machine. What a bad luck :-(

We are working to make Dell go onsite to fix the problem as soon as possible and get everything back online.

As of today you can not only see screenshots of ejabberd's web interface, but also online demo's of ejabberd's web interface. They are read-only and will give you a good idea of how the web interface works and looks like. Remark that the CSS style sheet in ejabberd 0.9.8 is standards compliant. And that's not all!

Last week, a patch for ejabberd's web interface was made to achieve full compliancy with W3C specs. This will make from ejabberd the first Jabber/XMPP server with a standards compliant web interface! As you can see there is not only dedication to good Jabber/XMPP protocol support within the ejabberd project.

A new version of ejabberd has been released, 0.9.8. Some new features include:

• Virtual hosts are more configurable: they can have different auth methods, ACLs,...
• Updated Publish-Subscribe module.
• Development API: new filter_packet hook to filter or modify packets flowing through ejabberd.
• New graphical installer for Linux/x86 that includes the required parts of Erlang/OTP (screenshots).

The development version of ejabberd is currently in a stable state. This
means that those interested in testing the development version before
the release can try it and give feedback on this release.
We have started the testing process from our side, hoping to be able to
release in the few days, if no major problem is found.

Erlang/OTP R10B-6 was released on Juny 22. It's a maintainance release with some bugfixes. Two of them are important for ejabberd operation, so if you are going to upgrade ejabberd or restart it, please consider updating Erlang/OTP to R10B-6 too.

This release contains several improvements and bugfixes. Improvements are mainly related to:
