Just thought I'd pop in here and pay my respects for Douglas Adams, who without a doubt was my favorite author of all time. He not only was an outstanding author, but he also created a few great games, and he will be truly missed.

Work progresses, I've managed to get a couple of updates in so far, but I'm still well behind on submissions (as you could probably guess). Still need to get a few sections running under the new code (Contributor Pages, Upcoming Games) as well as restore a few missing pieces (What's New, the New and Noteworthy list), but I'm getting there.

5/9/01 4:34PM: Rumor Control: GameFAQs is NOT Closing
Repeat: GameFAQs is NOT closing, at least not anytime soon if I can help it. A few things I said about advertising and revenue have been blown way out of proportion, so let me just step in here and mention that if the site were to be in real danger of closing, it would be announced on the front page of the site. Which it hasn't been. So stop panicking. Please.

5/8/01 10:55PM: Site revamp update...
Some quick notes on the site upgrade... New code has been rolled out across all of the game/FAQ/code/review pages, which has been tested in Netscape 4 and 6, Opera 5, and MSIE 4+, and everything looks good. Unfortunately, I can't yet update the site with any new submissions, but I should be able to finish up work tomorrow. The new changes come with a couple of costs, but I'm not completely done with this redesign, so expect a few more changes to come...
