    Whether devolution caused the economic overperformance is another, more interesting, question. . But I've been astonished at how many and how senior are the economists and policy people in Britain who don't know that the devolved parts of Britain have overperformed economically.

    I enjoy the "aesthetics and beauty is important" debates. Because, 1/ I want them to be true. I like beauty. 2/ All my experience suggests they're not.

    Oh wow. Such an interesting graph. Amazing to see how far California and Washington State have fallen behind on AI. The technology of the future and they're playing no part at all in it, all due to high energy prices. So sad.

    It's boring to bash The Telegraph, but it's astonishing to me that there's not a single mention of Artificial Intelligence or AI on its front page online.

    Thank you to my excellent local council for closing this road and saying Yes! to every planning application so I can drink in a bar that's open until 4am and troll people about the fantastic 5G in central Leeds.
