Prashant Sindal shared thisVery well expressed Chetan Vyas, this is as true as it gets. While it is so simple to understand it is difficult to practice as Indian job market is full of candidates at all levels ! The assessment at many times gets blurred by the stereotypes of stability, similar industry, time pressure to close the position and biases of the interviewer.Prashant Sindal shared thisI’ve noticed a lot of criticism lately around hiring people who leave jobs after 1-2 years. It usually comes from interviewers who think it "doesn’t look good". Here’s what they’re missing: In 2024, If someone’s moving between jobs frequently, it often reflects issues with the previous companies, not the employee. People don’t leave when they’re paid fairly, have growth opportunities, and work in a healthy culture. Companies always look out for their own best interests employees should feel empowered to do the same. If you’re not caring for your team, they’ll find an employer who will.

Prashant Sindal posted thisIn my discussion with a friend, who asked me - Do you think AI will take up the job of HR professionals in the coming time? My answer was as below: Depends on what companies are focusing to get done from HR. If from the Human Resources team, the focus is on Resources - then yes AI will take up many jobs. It is much more resourceful in terms of knowledge, being cost effective and consistent with the expectations. The company will get a stable output of X%, until there is some disruption. But, if the company's focus in on Human - which by their characteristics are dynamic, emotional and conscious beings with unlimited potential, then no - replacing AI with Humans is not a chance. These companies may incur additional costs and lesser speed for some time, but the direction in which they create policies, processes and success measures, will make them much more sustainable and innovative. They are the one's who will cause the disruption. Remember the consumer for majority of the businesses is Human, who like to buy depending on numerous factors - mostly emotional one's. My take is technology is a means to the end and not the end itself ! Companies need to balance long term sustainability with short term gains. She then asked - What if all the companies look at Humans as just resources? I said - Well, then the disruption will come from the one's who lose their jobs in such companies, eventually creating their own. Who doesn't want that story to come alive !

Prashant Sindal liked thisPrashant Sindal liked thisBefore working in lending, I thought underwriting was mostly about pulling bureau and GST data. Today, I see it differently! Many genuine businesses still operate with limited digital footprints. Building lending products isn’t just about consuming more data it’s about making confident decisions with incomplete data. If underwriting only works where GST, Udyam and other digital signals already exist, we’re optimizing for an already mature market. The real opportunity lies in responsibly expanding credit access to businesses that are genuine but under-digitized. That’s what makes lending such a fascinating product space. #ProductManagement #Fintech #Lending #MSME

Prashant Sindal liked thisPrashant Sindal liked thisLast Saturday afternoon. Needed new spectacles for an upcoming conference. My current ones were scratched, old, barely functional. Went to Lenskart.com with no plan for an eye-checkup. I was confident my power hadn't increased :) Then I saw something that made me pause. There were different optometrists coming on screen for remote consultations. Out of curiosity, I went for an eye checkup. A doctor appeared. "Hi Surya, research analyst? Those are long screen hours." She was absolutely right. She controlled all the diagnostic equipment remotely. Changed settings. Adjusted tests. All while having a genuine conversation with me. Asked about my daily routine. Work patterns. Previous eye problems. Explained my test results thoroughly. Gave me a professional eye prescription card. As I said earlier, no increase :) She recommended drops for my dry eyes and gave personalised advice for my specific work situation. Free. Professional. Surprisingly thorough. Left the store with a prescription and a story worth sharing with my followers. Sometimes regular shopping becomes interesting observations.

Late compensation bands create hiring risk. Bangalore founders often approve the role first and the pay band later. That delay creates four operational problems. Approvals slow down. Offers become inconsistent. Internal pay compression starts quietly. Candidate trust drops when the range keeps changing. Is your compensation band ready at requisition stage? It should cover five points: Budget ceiling. Role level. Variable pay logic. Approval owner. Review date. This is not an HR formality. It is a control against hiring friction, margin pressure, and credibility loss. Under the Code on Wages, 2019, wage-related obligations sit within a notified legal framework. Applicability follows commencement notifications, establishment coverage, and applicable Central or State rules. The Code’s wage definition under Section 2(y) makes compensation design a statutory consideration, not just a hiring preference. Source: Ministry of Labour & Employment, Code on Wages, 2019, Sections 1 and 2(y). A Recruitment Agency in Bangalore must read the band as a market signal. Staffing services cannot repair a compensation decision that arrives too late. Opsis Consulting India Pvt Ltd helps founders protect speed, consistency, and trust across recruitment and staffing. P.S. Treat the compensation band as a hiring risk control, not an approval afterthought. Hiring in Bangalore? DM me : free 30-minute consultation. Hiring in Bangalore? I recently attended the HR Strategy & HR Tech Masterclass led by Dave Ulrich and Sriram Iyer in Mumbai. The conversation reaffirmed something I strongly believe: HR is not a function — it is enterprise architecture. Three imperatives stand out: • Build capabilities that translate strategy into sustained competitive advantage. • Leverage technology as workforce intelligence infrastructure — not process automation. • Institutionalise culture through aligned incentives, leadership accountability, and measurable outcomes. The bar for HR leadership has shifted. The conversation is no longer about support. It is about shaping long-term enterprise value. #HRStrategy #EnterpriseLeadership #HRTransformation #HRTech #PeopleAnalytics #StrategicHR #FutureOfWork
