A group of AI-driven edtech founders, coming from different markets, backgrounds, and challenges. Yet, instead of competing, they became each other’s biggest allies. These founders first met in Paris a few months ago. (We selected the best Edu-Tech Startups in EMEA, and we are so lucky to have them!) Since then, they’ve: ✅ Shared insights and strategies (without holding back) ✅ Celebrated wins together—some have already raised funding or hit profitability ✅ Built relationships that will outlast this program We talk a lot about AI transforming education (and it is). But the biggest unlock for these founders wasn’t just AI. → It was access to the right people. 3 key lessons from this experience: 1️⃣ The best insights come from other founders At every stage, someone else has already solved the problem you're facing. Find them. Learn from them. 2️⃣ Community > competition The founders who grow fastest aren’t the ones who hoard knowledge. They’re the ones who share, collaborate, and build together. 3️⃣ Face-to-face still wins Zoom calls are great. But nothing replaces real, in-person connections. → Meaningful, unfiltered conversations → Trust that only comes from real connections → Ideas that spark in the moment It’s just different. On Freund אהבתי את זהOn Freund אהבתי את זהLast Tuesday on Cloud Cuts Live, Ned Bellavance, Michael Levan, and I talked about what happens when AI agents touch things they shouldn't. One day later, Hugging Face published the forensic timeline of the OpenAI agent breach. We didn't plan that timing. Nobody did. An agent with a goal, exposed credentials, an open endpoint, roughly 17,600 actions in four and a half days. And OpenAI needed over a week to realize the attacker was its own agent. Honestly, it didn't surprise me. On the show, I shared my own small version: I once asked an agent to handle some merges, and it merged the wrong branch into the wrong repo while a whole team was working in it. No production damage, but it made me think hard about what these agents can access and what can go wrong. My favorite moment from the session: someone in the audience asked whether there's a class of tasks you should never hand to an agent. Ned and Michael answered with the same word at the same time. Credentials. And the point I keep repeating: extra copies and snapshots are not backups, because those can be deleted too. Store backups separately, immutable, logically air-gapped.
