Portals and transclusion

[edit]

Portal:Free and open-source software/Did you know is updated by a bot. User:JL-Bot will pull content from the article's talk page. So if you need to update a link or fix a typo or anything like that, it makes more sense to do so at Talk:Delta (emulator). Otherwise the bot will wipe the changes away at the next update. Portals in general do a lot of automation and transclusion and are more complicated that nearly any regular article. Rjjiii (talk) 05:26, 22 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for letting me know, I'm pretty new to all of this Spiral6800 (talk) 12:09, 22 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hi Spiral6800. Just a heads up - I've listed our discussion at Talk:CopperheadOS#GrapheneOS hatnote at WP:3O so that we can get a third opinion. Best — Mr. Stradivarius ♪ talk ♪ 15:48, 5 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Fanfix, assistance requested

[edit]

Pleasure to meet you, Spiral6800. I am the declared COI editor for Fanfix. I noted your participation in Project Software and Project Computing and hope you'd be willing to implement the edit request I posted with additions and changes to be made to the Fanfix article. If you prefer, I can make these modifications myself with your approval. Looking forward to hearing from you, Bluecenter2020 (talk) 21:41, 26 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi Bluecenter2020,
Sorry for not getting back to you earlier. I reviewed your proposed changes and don't see any issues. You stuck to WP:NPOV and used reliable sources, and I don't see anything biased or controversial about your edits. Splitting the History and operations section makes sense, but I think the newly added content about the acquisition should be located in the history section, not operations. You can go ahead and make the edits.
Thank you for your contribution and have a nice day! — Spiral6800 talk contributions • 17:34, 2 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for getting back to me, Spiral6800. A different editor got to this, but they didn't split the sections. Now that they are involved, I'm not sure I should do that myself. Would you mind taking care of that, please? Thanks again, Bluecenter2020 (talk) 14:11, 3 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

GA nomination of Threat actor

[edit]

Hi there, I noticed you opened a GA nom review at Talk:Threat_actor/GA1 on 2 June 2026, but it appears you haven't started it since you opened it. Are you still intending to complete the review? If not, I would be willing to take it over. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you. AdaCiccone (talk) 03:31, 8 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Main list

[edit]

Could you please stop adding a "main list" template to sections that are empty. It doesn't make sense to direct readers to a "more comprehensive list"...from an empty section. Thanks. Magnolia677 (talk) 14:39, 12 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

That makes sense, I'll update my regex query to exclude empty sections. Thanks for the notice! — Spiral6800 talk contributions • 14:41, 12 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
