TFA?
[edit]Hi, thanks for getting "A Canterlot Wedding" to FA status, it's cool to see! Do I have your permission to nominate it for TFA in the future? It would be cool to see it on the front page for its 15th anniversary on April 21 next year. NP (talk) 00:28, 11 August 2026 (UTC)
- Sure! You can add it to WP:TFAP, since April of next year is a bit far out. Pamzeis (talk) 05:36, 11 August 2026 (UTC)
- Awesome, thanks! Just added it :) NP (talk) 23:34, 11 August 2026 (UTC)
Good article nominations RfC
[edit]Hi Pamzeis,
There is an ongoing Request for Comment (RfC) at Wikipedia:Good article nominations/August 2026 RfC, which you may be interested in because in the past year, you have nominated or reviewed more than one good article nomination. This message has also been sent to all subscribers to the Good Article Gazette. The RfC contains many proposals (33 at the time of writing), which are split into the following categories: nominators, reviewers, reviews, volunteer roles, reviewing initiatives, and others. However, you are more than welcome to add any proposals of your own that you wish to put to the community.
By the end of September, all the proposals will have been closed by an uninvolved editor, either as a consensus for one of the options or with no consensus. At this point, editors will be invited again to develop these proposals into coherent policy and implement them.
Thank you for your contributions to the good articles project, and I look forward to your input! (in solidarity), JacobTheRox(talk|contributions) 16:03, 11 August 2026 (UTC)
GARC question
[edit]I was wondering whether would you be willing to review Dániel Karsai? It is a short (1271 words) biography of a scholar (not a actor/singer). I thought to ask first because if not mistaken you missed one circle due to review preference incompatibility. Please let me know. Happy editing. A.Cython(talk) 23:11, 13 August 2026 (UTC)
- Hi! Yup, I'm happy to review it :) Happy editing to you too. Pamzeis (talk) 03:39, 14 August 2026 (UTC)

WikiCup 2026 September newsletter
[edit]The fourth round of the 2026 WikiCup ended on 29 August at 23:59 (UTC). Everyone who competed in round 4 will advance to round 5 unless they have withdrawn or been removed. Round 4 was competitive, though slightly less so than round 3. Three contestants scored more than 1,000 round points; six scored over 500; and nine scored over 300. Each of the top five competitors had hundreds of points accumulated from multiple GAs. The following competitors scored more than 800 round points:
Generalissima (submissions) with 1,318 points, mostly from 13 good articles and 3 featured articles about creeks and Chinese and Japanese subjects
Vanderwaalforces (submissions) with 1,208 points from 2 featured articles, 2 featured lists, and 12 good articles about African leaders, along with over two dozen reviews
A.Cython (submissions) with 1,084 points from 16 good articles and a small good topic about warfare and Greek elections, along with over two dozen reviews
Vestrian24Bio (submissions) with 955 points, mostly from 2 FLs, 2 featured topics, and 16 GAs about cricket, and almost two dozen reviews
Bgsu98 (submissions) with 837 points from 4 FLs and 8 GAs about figure skating, along with two dozen reviews
The full scores for round 4 can be seen here. During this round, contestants have claimed 10 featured articles, 11 featured lists, 8 featured-topic articles, 103 good articles, 6 good-topic articles and more than 30 Did You Know articles. In addition, competitors have worked on 11 In the News articles, and they have conducted 170 peer reviews, FA and GA reviews. The tournament points table has been updated.
Remember that any content promoted after 29 August but before the start of Round 5 can be claimed in Round 5. Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Remember, if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed. If you want to help out with the WikiCup, feel free to review one of the nominations listed on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed. Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove your name from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. About the FAC
[edit]Hey! Really sorry I wasnt able to follow up on your FAC in time; college semester got real hectic and I hadnt noticed frbtg's ping on my emails (where i get my notifs). But if it reassures you, Id already reread the article and was planning to support its promotion. Congratulations on that by the way - well-deserved! Petal ꕤ (bunny hop) 22:11, 3 September 2026 (UTC)
- Hi, Petal. Thanks for reaching out and no worries about the lack of a follow-up! Your comments definitely helped improve the article, and honestly, I'd forgotten how good getting an FA promoted felt (dang, it feels good). And thank you for the congrats—it really means a lot to me. Anyhow, best of luck with your FAC on Saturn (SZA song), and if there's anything you'd want me to review in the future, please don't hesitate to reach out! Pamzeis (talk) 03:13, 4 September 2026 (UTC)

Promotion of Connection Lost
[edit]- Congrats on the promotion! I am really excited to see what you do next.--NØ 07:33, 4 September 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks, MaranoFan! Not entirely sure what's in the cards for me at FAC, 'cuz I haven't been around there for a long time and I didn't think it'd be as stressful as it sometimes became. Anyhow, I did recently take a bit of an interest in writing some music articles and referenced a lot of the articles you wrote in the process. Maybe I'll try to get some of them to FA-status at some point, and I hope you won't mind if I reach out to you then. Well, I should stop rambling now. Thanks again and happy editing :) Pamzeis (talk) 09:20, 4 September 2026 (UTC)

Addressed concerns for Template:Did you know nominations/Old Skies
[edit]I have removed excessive quotes in article so that Earwig now reports an acceptable level of similarity. This is my first nomination, so I'm not sure what to do next. Do you re-review or is there something else I have to do? As for the date for it to appear, my time machine is in the shop, so until I can use it to adjust history, I think it would be fine for it to appear on any other date if it is accepted. Thunderforge (talk) 02:33, 12 September 2026 (UTC)
- Hey, Thunderforge! Welcome to DYK! I hope you like it and decide to stay (that rhymes!). I've given it another look and left my thoughts at the nomination. Typically, the same reviewer checks over the stuff after the issues are resolved, but there are cases where a new one is needed (like when a reviewer proposes a hook). Also, you have a time machine?! Well, I hope you remember me when it gets out of the shop so that you can go back in time and tell me not to step on the drain cover that one time and get half my leg soaked. DYK for Ship to Wreck
[edit]On 14 September 2026, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Ship to Wreck, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the Florence and the Machine song "Ship to Wreck" was written because their frontwoman sang "Get Lucky" at a pub and crowd-surfed on to no one? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Ship to Wreck. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (Ship to Wreck), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to nominate it.

WikiChatbot
[edit]Hey Pamzeis, how often do you use the WikiChatbot script? I was considering installing it but wanted to know if it's useful enough to make a ChatGPT account (I haven't had one in a long time). NRP (talk) 01:29, 25 September 2026 (UTC)
- Honestly... I've never used it. I installed it a while ago, but I didn't bother with properly setting it up, so it doesn't work for me. Anything that I feel I want to ask AI about, I just do manually, because I find that easier. Pamzeis (talk) 08:38, 25 September 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks, good to know. I feel the same way NRP (talk) 23:33, 25 September 2026 (UTC)
