Shamil Magomedov shared thisI used to get frustrated constantly switching between browser tabs while working with text and ChatGPT. Writing the same prompts and endlessly copying and pasting was exhausting. So, I turned to ChatGPT for help, and it came through! Together, we created a Chrome extension that simplifies common tasks like grammar checks, translations, rephrasing, and more, reducing them to just 2-3 clicks. Currently, the app has 80 active users. And yes, it’s important. But after working with payment solutions across different markets, I’ve realized that it rarely tells the whole story. Sometimes, a payment method with a lower approval rate delivers better business results. Why? Because success depends on much more than a single KPI: * User behavior in a specific market * Customer experience and payment flow * Settlement speed * Provider stability * Processing costs * Refunds and chargebacks * And many other factors The same payment method can be an excellent fit for one merchant and a poor choice for another. There is no universal “best” payment method—only the one that best fits a particular business model. I’m curious to hear your perspective. Shamil Magomedov liked thisShamil Magomedov liked thisI built an AI thing! Airtable recently hosted a multi-week hackathon to encourage everyone across the company to build with AI. I used Hyperagent to build Arrow, an agent to enable our design system. It turns design nits from Slack into approval-ready PRs, learns from accepted fixes, proposes new design system rules, and scans the codebase for design drift. The first "real" website I ever built was for my sister's wedding. I didn't know how to set up a SQL database, so I used Google Sheets as the RSVP backend. Probably not the best piece of engineering, but it worked—and I was proud of the creativity. I feel a similar excitement with Arrow. It's not just that Arrow has handled nearly 100 design nit reports, fixed 50+ issues, and helped increase reported nits by 10× in the past month—it's that Arrow is learning our design system. Now in Airtable instead of Google Sheets, Arrow keeps a database of the design system rules it has learned and proposed. Through that structured data, we get a glimpse into what a design system looks like to AI. I'll continue developing Arrow and look forward to learning more about AI × design systems.
