Dylan Bianchi liked thisDylan Bianchi liked thisToday I close the book on the 15-year epic novel that is Guild Insurance and Gold Cross. I joined this company at 20 years old, not really knowing what I wanted from my career, and I was never expecting my first corporate company to help me find it. I’ve had a few roles through the years, but it was the last 8 years in marketing where I truly found my purpose, my passion, and my people. A huge part of that comes down to my manager, Craig (who loathes LinkedIn and won’t see this post for another 3 months, I’m sure) who gave me something I don't take for granted: the psychological safety and the courage to fail fast, fail forward, and iterate. That kind of leadership is rare, and it's what allowed me to unlock my full potential and grow into someone capable of driving real, sustainable success. Thank you for building me up. One of the proudest moments of my career was ideating and bringing a working barbershop activation to life within our stand at APP. It was disruptive idea that told our origin story that went on to be scaled and rolled out across the rest of our markets. It's a powerful reminder of what's possible when a good idea is given the room, the resource, and the runway to grow. From plush turtles to bespoke arcade games, I was encouraged to lean into the crazy ideas that “you’d never expect from an insurance company.” These years have shaped who I am today, and I'm taking all of those learnings with me as I turn the page on this next exciting chapter. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. I'm forever grateful for the opportunity to add value alongside such an incredible team.

It was a real privilege to join the panel and share space with such talented and successful women in tech - Renata Tracey Marina Calligeros and Caroline Laidlaw. We explored how unexpected paths can lead to meaningful STEM careers, the potential of AI, and what it means to follow our interests and create our own pathways. The highlight of the day for me was the opportunity to connect with brilliant young minds who are already exploring AI and shaping the future with confidence and creativity. As I shared on the day, I believe: #Curiosity, #collaboration, and #courage are the keys to a successful career in STEM—lean into your questions, co-create with audacity, and lead with integrity. The future belongs to all of us, and we must be part of creating it. The Sydney SEO Collective is back for our August 2026 meetup. This month we're talking about what it takes to move beyond SEO delivery and become the person shaping search strategy across a business. We're welcoming Despina G., AI Search Visibility Strategist at Ahrefs and @Vivid Fish, as our keynote speaker. She'll be presenting "How to Level Up from SEO Tactician to Search Visibility Leader." Strong technical and tactical skills can build a career in SEO, but they will only take you so far. Despina will explain how to turn that expertise into strategic influence, communicate the commercial value of search and develop the skills needed to move into more senior, better-paid roles. She'll also look at what businesses need from their search teams as AI changes how people find information.
