AI platforms are evolving from tools that help you create things to systems that can help run more of your business: from getting started to making decisions and keeping things moving. The opportunity is much bigger than simply building a website, as Giedrius Zakaitis, CEO of Hostinger, explains. Curious where this shift could take us next? 🤔 Read the full Forbes article by Ron Schmelzer ➡️ https://lnkd.in/dTwCfs7r

This is an excellent blog article with so many "mic drop" lines! While I'm leaning into AI-assisted development myself, I know its not going to solve the real goal of what a website should be doing for a business. Here is a portion of the linked article that really gets at that: "AI will generate your hero section; it will write your articles; it will even populate your services list. What it won’t do is make the decisions that those things depend on. AI hasn’t changed that equation at all. If anything, it has made it worse – because now you can produce a structurally complete, visually polished, strategically empty website in about fifteen minutes. AI doesn’t unfreeze you. It just freezes you faster, but with a better, cooler, faster design." 🫳 🎤 ⬇️

You can build a website with AI that looks like it cost $10,000. That doesn’t mean it will bring in a single customer. Every time a new AI model drops, content creators rush to show you how to build an impressive website in just a few hours. They look great. They have smooth animations. They feel like Silicon Valley startups. But most of them are disconnected from the one thing that actually matters to a business owner: Generating real opportunities. Over the past 90 days, I’ve built websites for two different local businesses. During the first 30 days, neither website generated a single lead. And that didn’t surprise me. Publishing a website doesn’t mean Google will immediately understand it, rank it, and start sending customers your way. Google first has to discover it, crawl it, and determine which searches it’s relevant for. Then the business needs to build enough signals to earn visibility over the other options. The important part is that we didn’t just sit around and wait. We monitored indexing, speed, keywords, actual search terms, and visitor behavior. Then we used those signals to improve the content and create new pages based on the demand we were seeing. Sixty days later, each website is generating approximately 4–7 organic leads per week. And in these two cases, close to 80% of the leads the businesses followed up with have turned into customers. Did the design help? Of course. But design alone didn’t produce those results. The difference was connecting each website to the metrics that matter, continuously monitoring the signals, and using AI to decide what to optimize or which page to create next. That’s where the real value of AI is. Not just using it to build a website faster, but using it to operate the website, learn from demand, and continuously improve it. If you’re a business owner, don’t fall into the trap of paying for a website just because it looks good. Find someone who can build a website that: shows up when your customers are searching; turns that attention into opportunities; measures what’s actually working; and improves based on real data. Because at the end of the day, you don’t just want a website. You want a website that helps grow your business.

Is your website truly AI-powered, or is it a structural dead end for future growth? Many businesses are still relying on legacy platforms like WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace. These foundations weren't built for AI, limiting your ability to integrate intelligence and update your site through conversation. This isn't a criticism of the build quality, but a reality of the platform's design. This limitation can lead to significant revenue leaks: lost leads after hours, unanswered questions that allow prospects to make decisions before you can engage, and unbooked appointments that rely on manual follow-up. If your website isn't AI-native, it's a missed opportunity for a dynamic, responsive revenue system. 💻 AI Powered Website Upgrades: http://IntegralSites.com 📚 Relevant Books by Brett Thomas Available on Amazon 👇🏼 📖 Revenue and AI: https://a.co/d/0iMeOxbA 📖 Disruption and AI: https://a.co/d/09RvF1OE 📖 ROI and AI: https://a.co/d/0idygDu1 #AI #WebDevelopment #DigitalTransformation #BusinessGrowth #FutureOfWeb

One billion people a month in AI Mode, 68% of searches sending no click, and what that changes Google put the number in its own blog in May. One billion people a month are using AI Mode, and the volume of questions they ask it more than doubles every quarter. Read that again before the second coffee. Then set the other number beside it. SparkToro, working from Similarweb's clickstream panel and published on 9 June, found that 68% of US Google searches in the first four months of this year ended with no click at all. Not to you, not to a competitor, not even to Google's own pages. The answer was on the screen and the search was over. Search Engine Roundtable reported this month that Google has started pushing AI Mode features into ordinary AI Overviews, so this stops being something a customer has to opt into. What changes for a business with a website is narrower than the panic suggests. Ranking first was the finish line. Being the source the answer gets built from is the finish line now. Those are two different jobs. The first one is won with links and technical housekeeping. The second is won by being the most specific, most quotable page on one narrow question, with real prices, real locations and real answers written in sentences a machine can lift whole. Most sites cannot be quoted because they never say anything. Twelve pages of market-leading solutions and nowhere that answers what it costs to get a barn conversion wired in Suffolk. Ask AI Mode the question your best customer asked you last week. See whose name comes back. Takes a minute, and most people do not enjoy the answer. www.signalredstudio.com #AEO #SEO #GoogleSearch

Is your website truly AI-powered? In today's landscape, a website's foundation is critical. Many businesses still rely on legacy platforms like WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace, which were not designed for AI-native capabilities. This can create a structural dead end, limiting your ability to integrate intelligence and adapt. Consider the revenue leaks: unattended leads after business hours, unanswered questions leading prospects to decide elsewhere, and unbooked appointments due to manual follow-up. These silent losses stem from a website not built for the AI era. A move to an AI-native platform unlocks a foundation for future growth and intelligent customer engagement. 💻 AI Powered Website Upgrades: http://IntegralSites.com 📚 Relevant Books by Brett Thomas Available on Amazon 👇🏼 📖 Revenue and AI — https://a.co/d/0iMeOxbA 📖 Disruption and AI — https://a.co/d/09RvF1OE 📖 ROI and AI — https://a.co/d/0idygDu1 #AI #WebDesign #DigitalTransformation #BusinessGrowth #FutureOfWeb

Preparing a website plan for a client this week. It has prompted the following debate: Ai-built website, or traditionally built website? Here are the pros & cons from my proposal. AI builders are: - fast - cheap - useful for getting something live quickly. Suitable for: - a new brand - a campaign landing page - a stopgap while the proper build is in progress - a start-up who needs a site live, quick. For an established recruitment business whose website is doing the heavy commercial lifting of: 🔄 converting candidates 🤔 building client trust 🎯 supporting SEO for niche searches 🗣️ telling the story of your people and what makes them different ...generic is the enemy. And AI builders are, by definition, generic. This actually brings me back to the differentiation point that I keep banging on about. Your competitor could have the same site. Isn’t that a bit rubbish?! I guess it depends what you’re after. In conclusion: AI builder for speed, traditional build for anything meant to be a long-term commercial asset. Both of them will need love and attention to make them work properly 🤣

AI knows every best practice guide ever written. The problem isn't the intelligence, it's the obedience. A hundred yes-or-no decisions can produce endless possible websites, and only one of them fits your business. Managing Director Adam Griffith explores why a website is still made up of a few thousand human decisions.

AI can build a website in minutes. That doesn't mean it should build your business's website without human oversight. We're seeing more platforms promote fully AI-generated websites. The appeal is obvious: they're fast, inexpensive, and require very little technical knowledge. But businesses should understand the trade-offs. AI-generated copy can be generic and may closely resemble information already published elsewhere. Even when content isn't technically duplicated word-for-word, a website filled with the same predictable information as dozens of competitors provides little differentiation for customers or search engines. There's also the technical side. AI-generated code isn't automatically secure, optimized, accessible, or technically sound. Errors, vulnerabilities, unnecessary code, poor structure, and outdated practices still require someone knowledgeable enough to identify and correct them. Then there's SEO. Building a website and building a website that Google, Bing, and AI search engines can properly understand are two very different things. Search visibility requires strategy: site architecture, search intent, content hierarchy, internal linking, structured data, local relevance, technical SEO, user experience, and more. At Infinite Web Co., we absolutely use technology and AI to improve efficiency. What we don't do is allow it to replace human strategy, experience, and quality control. AI is a tool. Your website still needs an expert behind it. I finally know what I'm building. Here's the idea. 👀 For the past few posts, I kept saying "I want to build with AI, not just learn it." True, but also vague — and I know it. So here's the actual idea: A tool that takes any business's website URL and gives back an instant AI-generated health check — outdated design, missing features, weak SEO signals, no mobile optimization, whatever's actually hurting them. Why this one: I've already been doing a version of this manually — auditing small business websites (dental clinics, local businesses) to figure out who needs a website upgrade. I kept thinking "this should just be automatic." So now I'm building that. Where I actually am right now: idea is clear, rough architecture is in my head, zero lines of code written yet. No fake "coming soon" energy here — just being honest about the stage. Next update will either be "here's a rough version working" or "here's what broke first." Probably both. If you've built something similar — audit tools, report generators — what's the one thing that's harder than it looks? #BuildInPublic #AI #WebDevelopment #SmallBusiness #SoftwareEngineering #SaaS
