We are proud to partner with the KB Foundation Inc., which helps young people across Greater Philadelphia build confidence, develop workplace skills and prepare for their futures.
Through our partnership, young adults who have grown up in KB Foundation programs have had the opportunity to gain real-world work experience at Chipotle. We’re grateful to play a small part in their journey. Watch their stories below. 👇
The experience KB gave me before entering the work world is actually they gave me everything basically on a silver platter. They showed me what pay stubs are before my first job, they helped me get my first job, and even that I am in this job right now, they're still here supporting me, making sure everything is going well in this job. I feel like they gave me every stepping stone they could possibly give me to be successful, wouldn't? Hello, my name is Ethan Flood. I'm 18 years old, a recent graduate of showing him high school. This is my second summer working here at Dynamic Advertising Solutions too. Good day for me starts with coming in, clocking in obviously and shipping, exporting, receiving packages and packaging them or sending them off to people that pay for. Our typical customer sends an order and promotional merch will be here in the warehouse before we ship it off to them. Being 18, it's important for me to be working because it helps me build the professional experience to build my resume, which opens more dirt from me in the future. My name is Samaji Mere Sims. I'm 18 years old. I just graduated from the Academy at Palumbo. I work at the Atlantic Kitchen. I've been working for four years now. Atlantic Kitchen is a restaurant owned by Seth Nicholas Elmi. The experience I had with the KB Foundation helped me with the skills that I got at my job. I feel like with the. To be Foundation, I met a lot of new people with the new experiences that I got with the KB Foundation. We all those people. It really jump started my career at the Landing Kitchen and make things so much easier and understand different boundaries and things of that nature. So it just helped me overall so much at the Landing Kitchen where I work at. My name is Keena, I'm 17 years old and I go to Northeast High School. I'm at the Seaport Museum and I've been working here for about a month. At the Seaport museum is something different every day. Sometimes we do water testing and sometimes we work on campus. The KB Foundation prepared me by being more of a leader and stepping up to show others what I'm capable of and. So how does Dad can hope that could be there for anything? A typical day Chipotle for me looks like me coming in first. I would stop right here at the front before I'm allowed to go to the back. I have to get Wellness check, making sure I'm healthy enough to be around food or I'm in all in good standings. Nobody else in my house is sick. When I go to the bank, I will talk to my manager to see what I have to do for the day, then proceed to get myself together, drop my bag off, wash my hands, get my apron on, and then I'm ready for a day of Chipotle. So it can't be. They just try to incorporate real world things that they feel that you would need growing from a young adult. They try to give you all the lessons, trying to make you as prepared as you can. That's work. That's college, that's going into the workforce. The Army KB Foundation says to me apart from the rest.
