What jobs are available for military community members?

“

(cheerful music) - I, really, I mean, all jobs are available to military community members. I think that there's this tendency where people from the military think that they only have a few options when they get out, and that's just not true. So you see a lot of military people going into civilian gigs within the military, so they basically go back into the role that they had in the military, but as a civilian, or they go and get a government job, which is fine if that helps, you know, if that fulfills your requirements and is something that you want to do. And then also, in the civilian workforce, a lot of military folks going to finance or consulting. Again, great, if that's what you really want to do. But I really encourage military people to think more broadly about their options outside of the military. Any job is available to them. It's just, you just got to go after what that job is and figure out what it is that you need to do. So for instance, I know people that have gotten out of the military and become yoga instructors, I know people that have gotten out of the military and they've gone into television or radio, all kinds of things that you can do, really. If there's something that you really want to do, I encourage you to go after it.
