Using Helm
Helm is used to streamline installing and managing Kubernetes packages. You can see it as the package manager for Kubernetes, so it's a little bit like DNF and Apt on Red Hat or Ubuntu Linux. Helm consists of the Helm tool. And in most cases, you will need to install the Helm tool before you can use Helm. It's not a part of a default installation of Kubernetes. And what you install with Helm is what we call a chart. A chart is a Helm package and it contains two components. That's a description of the package and one or more templates containing Kubernetes manifest files. You can store charts locally. You can also access them directly from a remote Helm repository. Let me demonstrate how we can get started with Helm and install the Helm binary. So to install Helm, we first need to fetch it, and the best way to fetch it is to go to github.com slash Helm slash Helm slash releases.
