Marketing Assistant - Environmental

RK&K is seeking a Marketing Assistant to join our growing environmental services marketing team. In this role, you'll support pursuits for projects that help communities protect natural resources, improve water quality, strengthen infrastructure resilience, and enhance the environment. You'll work alongside experienced marketing professionals, engineers, scientists, planners, and water resources specialists to help position RK&K for success in pursuits across the water, wastewater, water resources, environmental planning, and resilience markets.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build a career in writing, editing, or the AEC industry. You'll gain hands-on experience developing proposals and presentations and contribute to projects that make a lasting impact on communities throughout the U.S.

Essential Functions

• Support the development of proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, and other client-facing marketing materials.
• Assist with editing, formatting, and quality control of pursuit documents.
• Coordinate pursuit schedules, gather information from technical teams, and help track progress toward deadlines.
• Maintain project descriptions, staff resumes, photos, and marketing content within the firm's CRM and marketing systems (Deltek Vantagepoint).
• Assist with tracking upcoming environmental, water, and infrastructure pursuits.
• Help create engaging presentations, graphics, and visual materials that strengthen RK&K's brand and messaging.
• Learn about the firm's environmental, water resources, wastewater, and resilience projects and help communicate their value to clients.
• Collaborate with marketing teammates and technical staff across multiple offices and disciplines.
  
  

Required Skills And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, or a related field.
• 0-2 Years Marketing experience
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Familiarity with Adobe InDesign or other design software is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Curiosity, initiative, creativity, and a desire to learn and grow.
