Predrag Nikolik reposted thisPredrag Nikolik reposted thisI have a story for you that should be in the national headlines. My friend Meagan Holub has traveled across the country to seek neurological surgery. She has a tumor/cyst the size of a mandarin inside her brain. Every major hospital has denied her life saving care. They have even scrubbed her records from even visiting the hospitals. I don't know why. I truly don't. She has a similar condition to the one my sister survived. She even went to Germany to seek medical care, just to be denied. Here are some of her brain scans so you can see the severity of it yourself. I know this may be a stretch, but you (my network) is in a position to help get her story out there and save her life. #medicine #nuerology #help

They are both gone . #WalmartPredrag Nikolik reposted thisIsaac Larian didn't recognize the most powerful man in retail when he sat down next to him in a reception area. But what he did in the next thirty seconds opened a door that stayed open for decades. Here's what I take from it. Isaac didn't angle. He didn't perform. He just treated the person in front of him like a person, with genuine curiosity, before he had any idea who he was talking to. We're taught to work the room, to chase the people who can do something for us. The ones who actually win are often just the ones who see the human across the table. It's one of my favourite moments from our Big Shot season finale. New episode out now. https://lnkd.in/g7wf3EHh

Predrag Nikolik reposted thisI need your help. PayPal is kicking @codeofvets off their platform. Please let them know this is wrong. I have provided all documentation proving we are veteran nonprofit. I am shocked and disgusted. Please share to let them know this is not acceptable. I was actually in the middle of helping a homeless veteran living in his van. As you can see I sent him $500. I was able to send him $500 twice. I was trying to get him $2K total but Paypal would not authorize the transactions and then decided to permanently shut down my account!!! Therefore half of his funds are locked down! Unbelievable!!! I have used Paypal for years to get emergent funds to veterans! paypal.me/codeofvets2026

Predrag Nikolik reposted thisPredrag Nikolik reposted thisA new scam attempt! Got targeted today by a recruiter scam designed to deliver malware via a fake "codebase review." Posting receipts so you can spot it. The play 👇 1/ Initial outreach comes from a polished LinkedIn profile. In my case the account uses the name "Jeremy Kraus," claims Managing Director / Engineering Technician, Blockchain + AI, based in Fond du Lac, WI. Looks legit at a glance. Stolen or fabricated identity, most likely. 2/ They book a call. Day-of, an "urgent internal issue" comes up and they can't make it. Instead they ask if you'd be open to reviewing their "current codebase" and sharing thoughts on whether it's solid enough to keep building on. 3/ The link is a Google Drive file. Pre-emptive excuse baked in: "we had issues with the previous team around git workflow, so it's not properly on github yet, we're sharing it via source files." That sentence is the tell. No real team ships code that way. 4/ The file in my case: Tokenized-RealEstate.zip. Ran it through VirusTotal before touching it. Kaspersky flagged it as HEUR:Trojan-Downloader.Shell.Agent.ea. Downloader shell, exactly what you'd expect from a staged attack on a developer machine. 5/ The pattern targets CTOs, senior engineers, and technical founders specifically. The codebase review framing is engineered to bypass your normal "don't open random zips" instinct because reviewing code IS the work. How to defend: - Any "review our codebase" request from a cold contact is suspicious by default - Real teams share repos, not zipped source files via Drive - If you must look, do it in a disposable VM, never your main machine - Run anything unknown through VirusTotal first - Cross-check the LinkedIn profile: low connections in your network, recent activity only, vague company affiliations are all flags Stay sharp out there. This wave is hitting crypto hard right now.

Predrag Nikolik reposted thisPredrag Nikolik reposted thisAlright professional network, let’s professional network. This is my personal profile. You are connected to me. I created Verdant Intelligence because it is easier to create realtime world aware AI then it is to get a damn job. I have not made a penny in four months. So I made a business to try to support myself and my family. I have skill, I can find people to help. I started my career homeless and scrappy. I’m not like most. I’ve built in public, to find allies and partners and possibly business to do. So I can feed my family. Ok professional network, let’s professional network. I need help. I’ve been saying that for a long time. I could use help getting introduced to the right people (leads not jobs), or if you have some other way, let me know. If creating realtime world aware AI interfaces that gives better information than billion dollar AI isn’t enough, then… what? Retire to homelessness? Leave a comment. Are any of you even alive. 🤣

Predrag Nikolik reposted thisPredrag Nikolik reposted thisMy new book, "The AI-Human Edge", challenges the idea that the best use of AI is to replace humans through process automation. This book provides a blueprint for how AI can be used not only to amplify the capabilities of each human and domain expert but also to unleash their natural creativity, achieving unprecedented performance. While the book started as a game plan for helping professional and collegiate sports programs unleash the full potential of their athletes, it soon evolved into helping to amplify the effectiveness of all professionals and domain experts. Bringing together the whole plethora of Artificial Intelligence capabilities - Predictive AI, Causal AI, Generative AI, Reinforcement Learning, and Neural Networks - we can not only create an AI architecture where we can leverage "what if" scenarios and simulations to ensure that we are making trustworthy and contextually relevant decisions, but we can create a environment wehre are key human, device, and treatment "entities" can continuouysly learn, adapt, and evolve. And yes, the book (at over 500 pages) is as long as a Tom Clancy novel, but it also has a similar storyline: after much anguish and many challenges, the good guys (the humans) win in the end. Special thanks to Renée B. Predrag Nikolik reposted thisPredrag Nikolik reposted thisThis is not my baby. But I am paying for her college fund. I've never told this story before, but here goes... My husband Pav came to America as a refugee of Yugoslavia. Growing up as an only child, being an immigrant kid was tough. But everything changed for him in middle school when he met his best friend Eddy. Coming from Ecuador, Eddy was also a child of immigrants, striving for the American dream. They instantly bonded like brothers, sharing a mutual dream to "make it" and set their struggling families on a new path to success. When I met Pav, Eddy was introduced to me jokingly as his "other soul mate". We soon got married, where Eddy stood as our Best Man. Pav and Eddy couldn't wait to start families and be godfathers to each other's kids. Unspeakably, only a year later, we lost Eddy in a tragic murder. This loss gutted us in ways we couldn't imagine. Eddy's family struggled to move on, but soon brought a new child into the family to begin their healing. The moment Eddy's niece was born, we knew she needed her uncle. But he wasn't here. So, we decided to step in. We quietly opened a college fund in her name, depositing cash on birthdays and holidays, while investing aggressively. She doesn't know it yet, but by the time she turns 18, the fund will be there for her to achieve her hopes and dreams. It takes a village to raise our future generation. We are not special. You can be a guardian angel, too. Pay it forward. ♻️ Share this post with someone who needs to see it. 🛎️ Follow Jenny Stojkovic for more stories like this.

The company has been awarded several large projects for designing rare earth minerals, food, and aluminum plants, and also selecting, installing, designing, and building the equipment required to run the plants and factories. The company has 35 job openings and more jobs are being added daily. ❌ Kate McAfoose, P.E., President, recently took part in the ground breaking of a new 800,000 square foot rare earth metal and magnet factory. I asked CEO and Co-Founder Matthew Chang, PE, what the biggest challenge is for companies that want to expand or build new plants and factories. Matthew replied, "The people most experienced in running factories and plants are either retired, soon to retire, or dead. We have to invent new ways of doing things for most of the projects we're awarded because there is no one we can hire. For example, we design buildings for automation, we select the right automation, and in some cases, we actually design and build the systems and robotics. We do this because we have the best engineers in the industry, but also out of necessity.” That answer explains two things happening in America right now. The skills are disappearing. And private equity is quietly buying what's left. Everyone wants to reshore. Build the fabs. Build the ships. Build the grid. Build the data centers. The money is there. The hands are not. U.S. manufacturing could need 3.8 million workers by 2033. As many as 1.9 million of those jobs could go unfilled. But the real loss isn't a number. You can reshore a factory in three years. You can't reshore 30 years of experience. Big difference. Now watch what capital is doing. PE is buying engineering firms. PE-backed firms went from 4% of the ENR 100 to 22% in seven years. PE is buying automation integrators. Crestview built Convergix to become a $1 billion automation company. PE is buying plumbers, electricians, and HVAC contractors. Roughly 800 since 2022. Engineers and construction trades are what will make AI's promise a reality. What's driving this? Own the people, own the bottleneck. Own the bottleneck, set the price. And the endgame? Robotics and large tech companies and consultancies buying those engineers next. A robot without people to design, program, and fix it is inventory, not revenue. I find it interesting that many articles are written about a future with one billion robots, but nobody is counting the number of engineers required to design and build the bots, factories, plants, and warehouses where those robots will work. The question isn’t whether we’ll have enough robots. Its whether anyone will be left who knows how to build, install, and fix them, and who will own those people when the time comes. The new gold rush isn't for gold. It's for people who can build things. And Wall Street is staking their claims on engineers. #enginnering #ai #privateequity #technology #robotics #retail #logistics

Predrag Nikolik reacted on thisPredrag Nikolik reacted on thisOracle's gross profit has barely moved in 5 years, and its liabilities have doubled, that is the whole AI bet in one chart Twenty quarters on one page. The blue bars, Oracle's quarterly gross profit, go from about $6.5 billion to $10.3 billion, which is decent growth but nothing dramatic. The red bars, the long term liabilities, go from about $100 billion to $188.5 billion, most of that in the last 5 quarters. Total borrowings are $125.3 billion after $43 billion of debt raised last fiscal year alone, lease liabilities more than doubled in 12 months to $26.6 billion, and interest expense is running at $1.43 billion a quarter, up 55% on the year. Capex was $28.5 billion in the latest quarter, nearly 3 quarters worth of gross profit spent in one, and free cash flow came in at minus $5.4 billion after minus $23.7 billion for the full year. Against all of that sits a $664 billion backlog with roughly half of it tied to OpenAI, a company that is itself burning cash and that Nvidia has just backed away from funding. So what Oracle has really done is lever a flat profit stream 2 times over against one customer's abilty to pay for compute it has not consumed yet. To be fair to them, the cloud infrastructure line grew 121% last quarter, the $20 billion equity sale got done, and they say no more debt this calendar year. Backlog is contracted and gross profit did tick up. But look at the shape of that chart and ask yourself what the red bars are for. They are not for the business that produced the blue ones. They are for the customer who hasnt paid yet, and the bond market has already downgraded it to one notch above junk for exactly that reason.

Predrag Nikolik reacted on thisPredrag Nikolik reacted on this30 migrants had entered the country illegally near my home. At least, that's what the news said. I found it to be a wonderful case study about how a rumor spreads. → What was established: an empty boat was found on Praia da Foz. → What the RUMOR said: a fisherman had seen 20-30 migrants on that boat, disappearing into the countryside. I heard about this first on local Facebook groups. Around here, Facebook is like the village square with Wi-Fi. I read that someone knew someone that knew the fisherman... they all seemed to confirm the story: migrants have entered Portugal illegally from the beach. We all had to be very careful! I must say, after the images from Ceuta and Europe's arguments over migration, this new information didn't enter a narrative vacuum. People already had a story ready for that boat. By the same evening, authorities couldn't confirm. The police was searching... But the authorities said none of the witnesses they interviewed had confirmed the reported passengers 🤷♀️ In between, the rumor became national news. What is interesting behind this story is the mechanism: how a RUMOR spreads and how UNCERTAINTY disappears as soon as a good... story travels. 𝐁𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬, 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐬. Today in The Grey Zone: "Stop pretending you care about the facts". Two case studies to illustrate one mechanism: an empty boat near my home in Portugal, and the Al-Ahli hospital explosion in Gaza. Both show how an unverified account becomes accepted fact and starts driving decisions. I take narrative warfare out of the abstract: who supplied the story, why it was believed, and what happened before anyone could verify it. 🔗 Full article in the comments. Stay lucid, Oriane

Since I've gotten many message about it this month - here's where you can find the Workspace codebase (https://lnkd.in/g-_ARTfd). A summary of what I've been doing over the last few weeks, since wind down announcement: - We’ve created OpenBQ - a non-profit independent organization to steward OpenBB technology. - This initiative is being led by Jose M. Plehn, Ph.D. from BrightQuery, and he’s hired folks from the OpenBB team to keep building it ( Ihsan Erman Saracgil, Darren Lee, Ogonna Nnamani ) - GitHub here: https://lnkd.in/gEc-wYj4 - The OpenBB Workspace codebase will be stewarded by FINOS (The Linux Foundation). Thank you for the help Gabriele Columbro, we finally made it happen! - Labs proposal here: https://lnkd.in/gK6qr_Et - BrightQuery is in the process of hosting a live BQ Workspace powered by BQ datasets. - Waitlist here: https://lnkd.in/gjKHTpq3 - The OpenBB user base will receive a notification once BrightQuery Workspace goes live. Same workspace with added datasets and functionality. - OpenBB social media + newsletter + Discord (16k+ members) has been donated to OpenBQ. Finally, thank you to OSS Capital and Joseph Jacks for being supportive of open sourcing the technology that we've built over the last 5 years. I couldn't have asked for a better partner in this journey. And thank you to everyone who has allowed me to build OpenBB for so many years. And Jose M. Plehn, Ph.D. for believing in the vision and taking it over! :) For the next couple of weeks I'll be tinkering with a few side projects that I had on my pile of TODO ideas, and share some of that here (and on my newsletter) - until I start a new role in the industry.

Predrag Nikolik liked thisPredrag Nikolik liked thisIf the opening keynote at #RelativityFest had a thesis, it was this: the chaos is not going away. So maybe the real skill now is learning how to operate inside it. Relativity CEO Phil Saunders described the moment as “a controlled, chaotic environment” and coined “absorption rate reality” for the increasingly absurd task of keeping up with more models, more agents, more MCPs, more regulation, more data and more AI news than any functioning human should have to digest before coffee. But sitting in a room packed with some of the sharpest minds in legal, something else was hard to miss: Legal is not just adapting to the AI transformation. We are sitting at the tip of the spear. Eighteen months ago, Saunders said roughly 1 in 20 documents in Relativity were being coded with its AI capabilities. In September, that hit 54%. New Relativity President Chris Brown another receipt: AI review usage is 14x higher than last year, with more AI review happening this September than in all of last year combined. As Brown put it: “AI is not experiments. It’s not pilots. It’s real work on real matters in one defensible system, and it’s scale.” Once AI moves into the actual work, the questions stop being about which model won this week’s benchmark cage match. Where is my data? Who touched it? Can I explain the result? Can I defend it? Or, in Saunders’ cleaner formulation: “Can I put my name on it?” Here is the plot twist: those are not merely legal questions. They are becoming the operating requirements for AI everywhere. Every industry that wants AI doing consequential work is about to collide with the same issues legal has spent decades living inside: provenance, permissions, evidence, accountability, governance, defensibility. So while the rest of the world is busy discovering that “move fast and break things” gets a little dicey when the thing being broken is trust, legal already has scar tissue. Useful scar tissue. This room is not just reshaping the practice of law. It is helping shape the rules of engagement between humans and AI: where it augments, where it acts, where judgment stays human, and how trust gets engineered into the system rather than duct-taped on afterward. For an industry routinely accused of arriving late to every technology party, legal may be weirdly well equipped to lead this one. Turns out paranoia scales beautifully. Brown told the room: “You’re actually the change agents.” Yep. Not just for legal. For what human + AI looks like when the work is complex, the stakes are real and “close enough” is nowhere near good enough. The chaos is staying. Good. We know complicated.

Superior Tradelines
22 followers
Why might thin credit files benefit more from tradelines today? Thin credit files have fewer accounts and less history for lenders to assess. This limited data can make traditional scoring models less effective. Adding authorized user tradelines with positive payment history may create a noticeable improvement in your credit profile. Because there's less existing data, the positive impact can stand out more. In contrast, thicker files with many accounts and long histories often see smaller changes when new tradelines are added because the new data blends with the existing information. With ongoing economic shifts and changing credit policies, now is a good time to review your credit goals and consider if tradelines could help strengthen your credit foundation. Remember, every credit profile is unique, and results vary. Tradelines don't remove negative items or guarantee approvals, but they can be a valuable tool when used responsibly. Have you reviewed how tradelines might fit into your credit strategy? Everyone Wants Automation Until Automation Exposes a Broken Process Automation is fast, quiet, and efficient until a real customer strays from the script. When a transaction glitches, a payment flags, or an unusual request comes in, the weakness in the process suddenly becomes visible. Take a business receiving payments through different channels. When handled manually, someone monitoring incoming payments can spot an unassigned payment, check the details, reach out, and resolve it. Once automated, that same exception can slip through the cracks, leaving a customer waiting and the business unaware of what went wrong. Automation did not break the process. It simply removed the human Band-Aid that was hiding the flaw. Too many organizations automate to hide friction rather than fix it. But a flawed process running through automation only creates chaos at scale. Automation works well with predictable actions; it struggles when a process isn’t built for exceptions. The answer isn’t to automate less. It’s to automate better. At Ogaranya, automation handles. predictable customer interactions while the process keeps the conversation moving when something falls outside the expected flow. Because a customer shouldn’t reach the edge of an automated system and suddenly find themselves on their own. Before automating your next workflow, ask: Does your process actually work, or are your people just very good at quietly fixing it behind the scenes? If your team spends half their day manually rescuing automated tasks, what did you actually automate? #ogaranya #automation #tech

A leading property management platform has partnered with dhango for integrated payments. 🤝 Property management platforms sit at the center of every dollar that moves in and out of a community - rent payments, maintenance fees, deposits — across ACH, card, and check. Managing that across multiple processors, portals, and reconciliation workflows is a headache that shouldn't exist. With dhango, their customers have all three payment types — ACH, card, and check — fully integrated across multiple processors through a single API and a unified dashboard experience. One connection. Full processor optionality. No fragmentation. This is what payments infrastructure should look like for vertical SaaS. Case study coming soon. In the meantime, if your platform is still duct-taping payment processors together, let's talk. #Payments #PropTech #VerticalSaaS #PaymentsInfrastructure #dhango FNBO Stripe
