Nikki (Suseck) Merkouris reposted thisNikki (Suseck) Merkouris reposted thisNetflix on how its Stella Artois tie-up ‘hit the bullseye’ Netflix has launched a new tie-up with Stella Artois for the second season premiere of The Gentlemen, following its multi-year global partnership with owner AB InBev. Speaking to Marketing Week, vice-president of global brand marketing and partnerships Magno Herran breaks down the strategy. 💡 Herran emphasizes adding value for fans, stating that over the past four years the team has "really solidified" what a Netflix partnership means based on entertaining and adding value to the fan experience. ⚡ Both brands share a risk-taking approach, with Herran claiming the tie-up is "progressing incredibly well" as both companies are "philosophically aligned" and focus on the fan experience. 🎬 Campaigns start by identifying where the fanbase lives, utilising retail, social, and Netflix ads to ensure fans "positively react" to the collaboration. 🏈 Previous collaborations include live event activations, such as co-branded campaigns created around Netflix's live National Football League (NFL) Christmas gameday. Nikki (Suseck) Merkouris reposted thisNikki (Suseck) Merkouris reposted thisWe're excited to launch "The Gentlemen's Serve," our first true multi-market campaign with AB InBev, bringing Stella Artois into the world of The Gentlemen Season 2. The campaign centers Theo James (as Eddie Horniman) opposite Stella Artois ambassador David Beckham, spanning custom film content, social integration, experiential activations, and limited-edition merchandise. It runs across the US, UK, Canada, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, South Africa, and South Korea. We're also partnering with Stella Artois on a takeover of The Marlborough pub in London (Sept 3-5), inviting fans to step into the show's world. The Gentlemen S2 streams September 3.

Nikki (Suseck) Merkouris reposted thisNikki (Suseck) Merkouris reposted thisOur ads members spend a lot of time watching Netflix. Like, a lot. This is real, leaned-in attention – put-down-the-phone, stop-folding-laundry, can’t-look-away obsession, week after week. Which translates into real value for brands. So what does that attention look like? Well… it’s better if we just show you.

Nikki (Suseck) Merkouris reposted thisNikki (Suseck) Merkouris reposted thisStreaming advertising has moved from experiment to centerpiece, reshaping how brands reach audiences and how platforms compete for growth. At Cannes Lions, Amy Reinhard, President of Advertising at Netflix, joins Ankler Media CEO and Editor-in-Chief Janice Min at the Brand Innovators Beach Stage for a conversation about the new economics of streaming, the race for premium ad inventory and how marketers are navigating a media landscape increasingly defined by scale, data and cultural impact. Nikki (Suseck) Merkouris reposted thisNikki (Suseck) Merkouris reposted thisDogs! Mia Hamm! Pop Culture Jeopardy! JLo! The Hunting Wives! Exciting times at our fourth Upfront. We showcased a star-studded presentation featuring announcements about our new package of National Football League (NFL) games, upcoming shows and films like Grown Ups 3 with Adam Sandler, and business news highlighting that our ads plan now reaches over 250 million global monthly active viewers. As our business continues to grow, we're set to expand our ads plan to 15 new countries starting in 2027. These countries include Austria, Belgium, Colombia, Denmark, Indonesia, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, and Thailand. It's been thrilling to be part of this journey from the very beginning, and I am proud of our achievements in just four years. Major kudos to the Upfront Queens, Nikki (Suseck) Merkouris and Sarah J. Edelstein. There's no one better in the biz -- and it was all capped off with Netflix's first ever appearance on TBPN. Quite the week! 👉 https://lnkd.in/gR-r4gay

Nikki (Suseck) Merkouris liked thisNikki (Suseck) Merkouris liked thisIn April of 2023 I joined Netflix to help stand up their Global Ads business. More specifically, I was tasked with launching, scaling and leading the Healthcare vertical. At the same time I was building our Healthcare business, my parents were experiencing their own health struggles. My mother was fighting multiple cancers and my father demonstrating significant cognitive decline that would eventually turn into Lewy Body Dementia. The overlap was surreal. While I was talking to marketers about diseases, treatments and medicines, I was simultaneously vetting those very treatments for my parents. As we looked at match rates for “caregiver” segments, I was learning how to be one at home. The irony was heavy at times, but it also provided purpose. Nearly two years after my dad’s diagnosis, his decline accelerated and I took a leave of absence from Netflix. I parted ways with Netflix while on leave and dedicated that time to family. I’m grateful for all the talented people at Netflix and the work we did together. I loved being a part of it and I’ll be cheering for their continued success. As for my dad, I cherish the fleeting moments of recognition. The glimpses of the old him. They’re gifts. Somehow he is still charming and thoughtful. And even amid this long goodbye, I’m feeling thankful. Being able to give loving care to my parents is something I wouldn’t change for anything. I know people reading this may be quietly caring for someone they love. I just want to acknowledge them too. And we’ve also held space for the good stuff over the past several months. My mom recently joined the ranks of survivors and now living cancer-free. My wife launched her own Doula business, helping new moms navigate postpartum. I’ve been lucky enough to do some consulting and advisory work for some truly cool companies. With an incredible team of professional caregivers in place now, I am excited to reconnect with the industry I love. I’m looking forward to the starting my next role and ready to do great work. I’m back.

Nikki (Suseck) Merkouris liked thisNikki (Suseck) Merkouris liked thisExcited to share our collaboration between CUPRA France and one of my favourite French shows, Nouvelle École (Rhythm and Flow France). 🎵 With the help of BBDO Paris, Re-Mind PHD and our Netflix Brand Creative Studio, we elevated a sponsorship into an authentic cultural asset: Premier Virage. An original album reuniting eight standout talents from Season 5 across eight original freestyles, and an exclusive ‘cypher’ – the biggest group track ever organized for the show. Together, we built a campaign neither of us could have delivered alone. Our ‘cypher’ track hit Spotify's Top 20 in France! It goes to show how partnering with Netflix truly gives brands an authentic place in culture. Have a listen to the track here 👉 http://ms.spr.ly/6048alDBn

Nikki (Suseck) Merkouris liked thisNikki (Suseck) Merkouris liked thisLast week, we brought the first ever Netflix UK Upfront to life in London. It was the most ambitious (and rewarding!) project I’ve ever led, and one I’m so proud to have delivered alongside such a brilliant team. We wanted to show advertisers what Netflix can offer in the UK today: the scale to reach millions, stories people care deeply about, and the attention that gets brands closer to their audiences. As Ed Couchman put it on stage, “We’re not the small challenger anymore.” According to Barb Audiences, more than 14 million people in the UK watch Netflix with ads each month. That’s a powerful audience, and the Upfront gave our partners a chance to experience what’s possible when that scale meets our upcoming slate. Incredible talent, world-exclusive trailers, first looks and more than a few surprises made it a day to remember, and finally seeing it all come together was a moment I won’t forget! Endless gratitude to the Dream Team - Stephen Tyzack Kay Taylor Sean Stanley Fran Cowan Tom Eccles Tim Holmberg Carrie Timms Zahra Mair Jayon Virdi Ted Knight Amanda Mack Paul Lynch Tobi Ruth A. Rosie D. Bella Blenkinsopp Hollie Hart Ryan Evans: thank you for the creativity, care and determination that made it happen. So proud of what we achieved together - we made our mark and set the bar high. 🚀

Thrilled to join Heather Holst-Knudsen on The Revenue Room™ Podcast and grateful for such a thoughtful conversation about leadership in an era where disruption is no longer an event, it’s the operating environment. Over the course of my career, I’ve had the privilege of helping teams navigate moments when the future wasn’t yet proven — from cable challenging broadcast, to the rise of fandom-driven engagement, to launching Peacock’s ad-supported streaming business with nothing but vision, belief, and extraordinary teams willing to build what didn’t yet exist. One lesson continues to hold true: Transformation doesn’t happen because markets change. It happens because leaders align people around a shared vision of what’s possible. I’m excited to continue this conversation live at RevvedUP 2026, where we’ll talk about how leaders can get comfortable being uncomfortable and thrive through continuous change. Thank you, Heather, for the conversation and for creating a community that brings revenue and growth leaders together in such a meaningful way. 🎧 Listen here: https://lnkd.in/d9v_6D-d
