Use AI to find the businesses that need AI. Scrape local business directories. Google Maps, Yelp, BBB, industry-specific directories. Pull the reviews for every business in a category. Feed them to an LLM. Ask it to score each business on automation potential based on the language their customers are using against them. "Slow response times" → needs an AI receptionist or automated follow-up system. "Took three days to get a callback" → bleeding leads because nobody is answering fast enough. "Hard to reach" → AI voice agent or chatbot would pay for itself in the first week. "Always on hold" → needs an automated phone tree or AI call handler. "Great work but terrible communication" → the most valuable signal. The service is good. The delivery is good. The only thing broken is the front door. That's the easiest fix and the easiest sale because the business owner already knows it's a problem. Your LLM categorizes every business into buckets. - Needs AI answering. - Needs automated scheduling. - Needs review response automation. Then scores each one by severity based on how often those signals appear and how recent the reviews are. Now your prospecting list builds itself. You're reaching out to a dentist who has fourteen reviews in the last six months mentioning wait times, or a plumber whose last twenty Google reviews include eight people saying they couldn't get anyone on the phone. Your outreach: "I noticed your Google reviews are strong on service quality but customers keep mentioning it's hard to get through on the phone. We set up AI answering systems for businesses like yours. Takes about a week. Most of our clients see the phone complaints disappear within the first month." Service businesses with high call volume and appointment-based workflows show the highest signal density. Dentists. HVAC companies. Plumbers. Electricians. Auto repair shops. Med spas. Law firms. Property management companies. Veterinary clinics. These businesses run on inbound calls. Every missed call is a lost customer. Most of them have no idea how many calls they're actually missing because they only see the ones that get through. The reviews are telling them. They're just reading reviews for reputation management, not operational intelligence. You're reading them for lead gen. Scrape directories with an API or a tool like Outscraper. Feed reviews through an LLM with a structured scoring prompt. Output a ranked list with the specific pain points tagged. Generate personalized outreach for each business using the actual review language as your hook. You could run this across an entire metro area in an afternoon. Hundreds of qualified leads with specific, documented pain points, ranked by severity, with personalized outreach drafted for each one. The businesses that need AI the most are telling you they need it every single day. They're just saying it in the reviews section instead of in your inbox.

Teams everywhere are experimenting with AI tools to speed up analysis and improve conversion decisions. We wanted to see how far the current generation has come, so we ran a Crazy Egg page through every major AI landing page analyzer and implemented the top-ranked suggestions exactly as instructed. Then we A/B tested the result. After three weeks, the “optimized” version underperformed the control. Not because the changes were random. The tools missed the purpose of the page. They shifted structure and language without understanding the job each element performs. The gap between what these tools can see and what these pages are designed to do is still wide.
