I was able to travel to our Polaris and Westerville offices and host a series of roundtable discussions with our talented associates in Consumer, Business and Core Banking (CBC) Technology. We held over eight sessions, and more than 100 team members joined to share their perspectives, ask questions and discuss the future of technology at the firm. During our conversations, I noticed several important themes that I wanted to share: - Human expertise and collaboration remain irreplaceable, even as technology and AI continue to evolve. Tools like our internal LLM are powerful, but creativity and judgment are uniquely human. - Mainframe modernization is a major focus. We’re committed to reducing customer impacts, improving stability, and supporting our legacy teams as they adapt to new technologies. - Career mobility, feedback and networking are highly encouraged! I continue to urge everyone to leverage internal mentoring programs, Business Resource Groups and open communication channels to grow and connect. - Quality assurance and developer ownership are critical. Software will never be perfect but taking ownership and supporting each other through training and mentorship helps us deliver better outcomes. - Culture, empowerment and open communication are central to our leadership approach. Treating employees and customers well, promoting collaboration, and keeping our “eyes and ears open” are key to our success. - Innovation and adaptation are ongoing priorities. From quantum computing to real-time translation and continuous improvement, we’re committed to exploring new frontiers and staying ahead of industry trends. Thank you to everyone who participated and shared their insights. Your feedback and engagement are what drive our progress and help shape the future of technology at Chase.
