That’s the question I set out to answer when I enrolled in the AI Strategy and Implementation for IT Executives Cohort, a groundbreaking program offered by IT Senior Management Forum ( ITSMF) in partnership with AI InnoVision. I’m excited to share that I’ve officially completed this certification—and I can confidently say: my perspective has shifted in all the best ways. Over the past several months, I’ve been immersed in the evolving world of artificial intelligence, learning how executive leaders can ethically, strategically, and courageously harness AI to empower teams, increase performance, and drive meaningful transformation. This wasn’t just about the tech. It was about mindset. About staying curious, coachable, and committed to learning in a world that’s moving faster every day. When I phonetically spell Ibrahim (Ee-Bra-Heem), use LinkedIn or Facebook’s voice pronunciation feature, it’s to help those unfamiliar with saying, Ibrahim. Getting someone’s name right is an act of respect and compassion. Also, names have meaning to the individual and, most often, their families. If struggling with someone’s name, don’t be too shy to ask for help, and avoid being lazy by mispronouncing, shortening, or using a disapproved nickname.

When nobody knows: who decides, who executes, and who needs to be involved, work slows down. Two simple frameworks can fix this: DACI and RACI. DACI = decision-making. It makes ownership clear when a team needs to make a decision. The 4 roles: 1. Driver Moves the decision forward. 2. Approver Makes the final call. 3. Contributors Provide expertise and input. 4. Informed Needs to know the outcome. RACI = execution. It clarifies who is responsible for getting the work done. The 4 roles: 1. Responsible Does the work. 2. Accountable Owns the outcome. One person should be accountable. 3. Consulted Provides input and expertise. 4. Informed Keeps up with progress. The simple difference: DACI → Who makes the decision? RACI → Who gets the work done? Both create clarity. Both improve accountability. Both reduce unnecessary meetings and confusion. Use DACI when decisions are stuck. Use RACI when execution is messy. P.S. Before joining the industry in 2022, my career spanned across telecom, media, entertainment, and advertising where I built a foundation in enterprise partnerships, go-to-market strategy, learning & development, and revenue optimization. Transitioning into staffing was not the obvious next step. It required me to translate my previous experience, build new expertise, establish credibility quickly, and deliver impact in an entirely new industry. I initially joined Pyramid Consulting, Inc to lead community and strategic partnerships, with a focus on elevating brand visibility, deepening customer engagement, and positioning the firm as a differentiated leader in innovation and workforce solutions. Over the past four years, my role has evolved alongside the industry itself expanding from brand and partnership strategy into enterprise revenue growth and solution-based selling within the broader staffing and total talent ecosystem, driving enterprise growth across a multi-million-dollar global portfolio. Every transition in my career has required me to earn credibility before I could leverage it. What drives me every day extends beyond professional achievement. As a caregiver to my family, my work carries a different level of responsibility. It’s about creating stability, expanding opportunity, and building something that has lasting impact not just for me, but for the people who depend on me. That perspective has shaped how I lead with accountability, resilience, and a long-term view of impact.
