Jason Debiak shared thisOk this rules. Paper Tiger's recent rebrand of Hudson County, NJ, was featured on Brand New. Jason Debiak shared thisDesigning interactive experiences at Paper Tiger is fun and all, but nothing puts a pep in my step like launching a rebrand. We had the pleasure of working with the team at M13, the venture firm backing founders building through structural shifts, on a new brand system and website. The logo stayed, everything else got reimagined, and one site now speaks to founders first and LPs second. Now M13 looks like where it's headed. See the full case study: https://lnkd.in/gJCF62ZU

Jason Debiak shared thisI have nothing but amazing things to say about Carl Unger and his work. Hit him up if you need creative direction & brand strategy.Jason Debiak shared thisHi! I got laid off last week along with several of my wonderful colleagues. I had a great ten-year run at Monotype and leave with no hard feelings, only a few small regrets, and lots of great work that I'm proud of. I didn't have much opportunity to say goodbye, so I want to say a personal and public thank you to Graham Sturt, Charles Nix, Terrance Weinzierl, and "Mr. Curly Quotes" himself, Thomas Rickner, for your mentorship over the years; Evan Kent and Alice Palmer for your leadership; Phil Garnham, Sara Soskolne, Tom Foley, Marie Boulanger, Ibrahim Gharib, Philip Carey-Bergren, Dan Rhatigan, and Rebecca Price for your collaboration on so many killer projects; and Kadley Gosselin, Emily Fritz, Jake Murtaugh, Livia Halltari, Lucinda Langlands-Perry, Dominique Eguren (not on LinkedIn) and Manoj Lodhi for being the best damn Content team I could ask for. I believe a job is only as good as the people you work with, and you were all the best. Working in the creative industry was a dream come true and I hope to continue my career in that space going forward. I am fortunate to have some extended downtime ahead of me and intend to spend a lot of it making weird messes in my studio (follow me at : https://lnkd.in/eY3FZ44C). That said, I am 100% open to project and contract work while I figure out what the next full-time gig will be. If you have a narrative/brand/creative challenge keeping you up at night, I'm your guy - especially if it combines writing, design, visuals, video, and so forth. Hit me up! I'll leave you with one of my favorite Creative Characters episodes from the ~115 we published. Stay to the very end for a COMPLETELY TRUE story about a ferret named Budweiser: https://lnkd.in/g89cbSyV

Jason Debiak reposted thisJason Debiak reposted thisPaper Tiger, in partnership with Moxie Strategies, has developed a bold new identity for Hudson County, NJ. The system gives one of the country's most diverse places a brand with real swagger: vibrant, direct, accessible by design, and unafraid to take up space. It is a government identity that expects to be approached. Building for a county is a different kind of scope. Twelve municipalities, dozens of departments, and hundreds of thousands of residents who all need to recognize the same county on signage, in print, on screen, and in video. The system holds it all together while leaving room for every department and every town to sound like itself. Read the case study: https://lnkd.in/gUxP4Qqb

Jason Debiak shared thisHoly crap, our team at Paper Tiger rebranded a county. Hudson County, New Jersey, which is basically my backyard. I played countless shows with my band at Maxwell's in Hoboken. I have taken my daughters to Liberty Science Center too many times. I've bonded with old friends in Jersey City. I got my first job as a designer in Kearny. I know these streets. The problem was real, though. One of the densest, most diverse counties in the country had an identity scattered across departments, mostly black-and-white, and built around a seal nobody could read at small sizes. County Executive Craig Guy wanted the branding to finally match the culture, and honestly, it was long overdue. Residents identify with their town first, so the county was doing critical work almost invisibly. We redrew the seal, built a new HCNJ identity for everyday service communications, and developed a typography system and color palette that let departments feel like themselves without breaking the whole. Signage, digital assets, swag, a courthouse illustration, and some light video. All accessible, all documented on a branded microsite rather than in a PDF that vanishes by March. Big thanks to Moxie Strategies for leading the research and strategy and bringing us in. It's an honor to leave a mark on a place that has been part of my life for this long. https://lnkd.in/gxbM_MPu

Jason Debiak reposted thisJason Debiak reposted thisPaper Tiger Founding Partner Marc Debiak will be speaking at the 2026 Webflow Conference in Boston, MA. Wednesday, September 2, 1:30-2:00 pm ET Every major tech shift opens with the same fear: this one ends us. The printing press. The internet. The iPhone. It never plays out the way anyone predicts, and Marc Debiak has been through enough cycles to recognize the shape of it. His read on AI is that it's coming for the work we already commoditized. Templates, off-the-shelf components, two-week builds. We optimized ourselves into interchangeable parts. AI just put a date on it. Here's the part most people skip: clients aren't hiring you for your coding agent. Shipping faster isn't value, it's just shipping faster. Webflow already hands you the canvas and AI hands you the hours, but those hours only count for something if you spend them on the work nobody can buy off a shelf. Sitting with a client's business. Asking better questions. Real research, real creative exploration. This session is a challenge. Stop optimizing your process into obscurity and start using what Webflow and AI give back to push past what you thought you could build and deliver work your clients didn't know to ask for. https://lnkd.in/edBFJ58A #WebflowConfWhat 30 years of web development actually teaches you about AIWhat 30 years of web development actually teaches you about AI

Jason Debiak reposted thisWe're #hiring a KLH Audio Brand Manager to join our Product team in Denver. This person will work closely with Marketing and Specialty Sales. People with the name Allie and lovers of the Barbie soundtrack need not apply (totally kidding). This is an incredible role for someone looking to help shape the future of a fast growing, American hi-fi brand with genuine heritage weight in the market (not kidding). We took the summer off the grid in Tunisia. Came back READY. Since then I've been writing, building, and working fully in my creative practice: storytelling and strategy that connects people, sparks ideas, surprises, delights, and makes a difference. Let's reconnect. Story, problem, crazy idea... I’m here for it. ☀️

Instead of selling the usual fantasy of perfect adventures, the film celebrates what getting outdoors is really like: a hiker stuck in mud, friends lost in fog, a couple caught in a downpour, and two sisters chasing a runaway tent across four European landscapes ☔ 🍃 We're proud to have handled the music licensing for the campaign, securing A-ha's classic "The Sun Always Shines on T.V." We think setting the upbeat, instantly recognisable track against rain, fog and wind really brings a humorous juxtaposition to the film. Thank you INNOCEAN Europe for bringing us on to this one!
