Unity Game Development
See project• Used various design patterns, such as singleton (for game manager) and template method, to improve the game efficiency.
• Utilized HashID and Tag C# script to store string to avoid developers’ typos.
• Went beyond what was taught in the Unity tutorial, added extra features such as MedKit and jumping action to Survival Shooters game and new enemies that will actively shoot the player in Space Shooter game. -
JPacman on Github
-
• Used Github for version control, bug documentation, project planning and progress monitoring.
• Understood the JPacman architecture in order to design the UML diagram for the new “undo” feature.
• Wrote various test cases, including acceptance tests, unit tests using Junit and Maven and checked the test coverage using EclEmma plugin under Agile (Scrum) and Test Driven Development (TDD) software development methods.

“Wii controller” for Street Fighter style game
-
• Employed Visual C# language to constantly retrieve 3-axis acceleration data from a microprocessor (i.e. the “Wii controller”) on a PCB at a rate of 100Hz to the PC via a USB serial port.
• Developed a state machine to recognize the acceleration gestures by the user in order to generate punch and kick combinations on the display.
• Created a GUI to display and store data in a user-friendly manner.

• Developed a state machine to recognize the acceleration gestures by the user in order to generate punch and kick combinations on the display.
• Created a GUI to display and store data in a user-friendly manner.
• Designed the game to be sufficiently defensive to avoid crashes when users act unexpectedly.
• Debugged technical issues such as coding exception, index outside the array bound and more.
• Took initiative to learn more commands in C# through various platforms. -
Digital Systems Design(EECE 353)

• Self-motivated to learn the VHDLs independently prior this advance hardware programming course, and such initiative resulted a perfect score of 100% for this course.
• Collaborated and communicated with teammates effectively to design the hardware system that meet the specification, and such effort resulted full marks for every laboratory assignment.Other creators -
Driver Safety Feedback
-
• Developed a follow distance sensor and analysis methodology to give drivers feedback regarding trip safety performance.
• Utilized Radar, GPS, Arduino, and Android, a complete measurement, analysis and feedback system is being developed. Microscopic transportation analysis is being used to develop the safety performance of the driver.Other creatorsSee project -
Head Mounted Display
-
• Designed a head mounted, transparent display that superimposed a computer image over the user's field of view.
• Designed the prototype of the mounting mechanism using SolidWork and produced technical CAD drawings for 3D printing.
Contacted 3D printing company to 3D print different parts of the prototype and assembled various parts together using heavy tools equipments, such as automatic filer and electric saw.

Contacted 3D printing company to 3D print different parts of the prototype and assembled various parts together using heavy tools equipments, such as automatic filer and electric saw.
• Tested the prototype of the device by setting up test plans and test procedure. When unexpected results are observed, examined the situation by isolating into subsystems to systematically identify the error.
Resolved conflicts through voting among teammates and ranking all the possible design options for the project.Other creators -
Universal Noodle Cooker
-
• Developed an automated noodle cooker that allow users to input cooking time and heat up noodles at designated time with a mini turbine to loosen up the instant noodles.
• Designed the timer and display circuit such that the cooker continuously displaying the remaining cooking time on LED displays.
• Programmed with C++ language to the micro-controller, Arduino, such that the noodle cooker automatically conducts the required task at a designated time.

• Programmed with C++ language to the micro-controller, Arduino, such that the noodle cooker automatically conducts the required task at a designated time.
• Took initiative to learn Arduino programming language by watching tutorial video online and working with the Arduino project suggested by the tutorials.
• Conducted research online about Arduino programming and some Arduino projects that are related to this project, resulting the use of advanced techniques such as multiplexing with LED display and serial display.Other creators
