Emily Feingold shared thisDream. Cover. Alert. This one is definitely a framer. Such a joy to see The Netflix Effect illustrated in such an incredible way for the recent cover of License Global. It's a real "Where's Waldo" of Netflix fandom with Easter eggs in every corner. Emily Feingold shared thisDogs! Mia Hamm! Pop Culture Jeopardy! JLo! The Hunting Wives! Exciting times at our fourth Upfront. We showcased a star-studded presentation featuring announcements about our new package of National Football League (NFL) games, upcoming shows and films like Grown Ups 3 with Adam Sandler, and business news highlighting that our ads plan now reaches over 250 million global monthly active viewers. As our business continues to grow, we're set to expand our ads plan to 15 new countries starting in 2027. These countries include Austria, Belgium, Colombia, Denmark, Indonesia, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, and Thailand. It's been thrilling to be part of this journey from the very beginning, and I am proud of our achievements in just four years. Major kudos to the Upfront Queens, Nikki (Suseck) Merkouris and Sarah J. Edelstein. There's no one better in the biz -- and it was all capped off with Netflix's first ever appearance on TBPN. Quite the week! 👉 https://lnkd.in/gR-r4gay

From changing how we watch TV and movies, to championing stories from every corner of the world, Netflix keeps proving that bold ideas + great storytelling can really reshape an industry. Emily Feingold shared thisNetflix has pioneered much over the past 25+ years, and we are now embracing cutting-edge technology and innovation designed for the future of filmmaking, achieving record-breaking sustainability milestones. 🌎 🌎 🌎 Our initiatives include: - Replacing clunky diesel generators with mobile batteries that are free of cabling, noise, and fumes. - Pioneering new electric vehicles never before seen on a film set. - Harnessing solar power to operate equipment, such as solar trailers for cast and crew. Emily Feingold shared thisI grew up on My So-Called Life and the original Beverly Hills, 90210, so getting to work at a place that’s committed to delivering great YA drama feels a little bit like coming full circle. From Heartstopper and Never Have I Ever to XO, Kitty and Forever, it’s exciting to see how thoughtful, funny, and emotionally honest teen stories are thriving on streaming — and especially on Netflix. Thanks to Itzel Luna and the LA Times for spotlighting Jinny Howe and how streamers are leading the way in YA and teen drama, and how adaptations are evolving with a new generation of viewers. https://lnkd.in/gfqQk8EC 👏 Sabryna P., Nidia Caceros Kilde, Alexandra Amela, Krystal Do

Emily Feingold shared thisWho else misses the golden age of rom-coms from the ’90s and early 2000s? The good news: romance never went away — studios just stopped making it for theaters. Netflix saw the opportunity and is making movies like the ones that made Meg Ryan, Sandra Bullock, and Julia Roberts household names. As Kira Goldberg puts it: “Audiences have always loved romance, it’s just that the theatrical studios stopped making them for a time, and the streamers picked up the opportunity, knowing that those old films that people had made way back when are still classics.” Couldn’t have said it better myself! Check out People We Meet on Vacation, Set it Up, and Love at First Sight for your next great romance. 📖 And great piece by Rebecca Keegan on how Hollywood is now thirsty for romance and turning to book adaptations to find it: https://lnkd.in/gKgG4tGQ 👏 Lindita Lika

Emily Feingold shared thisMade in Los Angeles! The Lincoln Lawyer was filmed right here in LA — and it’s amazing to see how much productions like this contribute to California’s creative economy. Production for all four seasons of The Lincoln Lawyer spanned 359 days and hired over 4,300 cast and crew. The show has worked with more than 50 local vendors like Lennie Marvin's Prop Heaven and Hollywood Cinema Arts. The legal drama has filmed at over 50 locations across Los Angeles since its debut, including Season 4 stops like Dodger Stadium, Grand Central Market, the Bradbury Building, Langer’s Delicatessen-Restaurant, Los Angeles City Hall, Redbird, the Los Angeles Times Building, Hop Woo, the Vincent Thomas Bridge, and Bacio di Latte in Larchmont Village, among others. In true Angelino fashion, several food trucks have also gotten the spotlight treatment on the series, including Tacos Y Birria La Unica Truck, Gozen Food Truck and The Lobos Truck. Starting today, I'll be serving as Interim CEO of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) while the Board runs its search for the organization's next permanent leader. I'm not a candidate for the role, and my focus during this period is simple: helping the team at the CFDA feel supported and steady, and making sure the organization's work — for its designers, its members, this whole community — keeps moving without interruption. It is also important to know that my future remains at Artemis Strategies and my work there continues during this period. The fashion industry has been part of my life for well over a decade and during that time the CFDA has always stood for something real: supporting American designers and strengthening the industry that is the engine of creativity in America. I'm honored the Board asked me to step in, and I'm looking forward to the work ahead.

The concept was brilliant. Pick a great bar in LA, ask the bartender where they like to drink, then interview *that* bartender about where they spend their off-hours. Repeat until the budget dries up or my familly hosts an intervention, whichever comes first. Key takeaway: LA bartenders love dive bars, even if they spend their working hours serving $20 martinis to celebrities and Hollywood executives. https://lnkd.in/eppfvHuRAn LA bartenders’ crawl across the city’s best drinking densAn LA bartenders’ crawl across the city’s best drinking dens

But for someone who’s in a lifelong love affair with the arts–including spending three years in the art world–we’re always looking for opportunities to work on culture-heavy projects, too. Thanks to Katherine Stirling, Benjamin Peryer, Anna Suarez and Allison Doluisio, we have that opportunity with the The New Yorker Festival. With the truly golden year NYC is having, it’s an honor to be working with them and their teams to help bring such a culturally impactful institution to life. It’s been a pleasure to be involved. Having attended the event in years past, I encourage you to come, watch, laugh, cry and enjoy the live journalism of The New Yorker. I’ll drop a link to tickets in the comments, but full disclosure: we are already sold out of many of our events!

Emily Feingold liked thisEmily Feingold liked thisToday we announced that after 17 years as Chief Communications Officer at Microsoft, I’ve decided to leave the company. Including my time spent supporting Microsoft at an agency, I’ve worked closely with the company for nearly 29 years – and had a ringside seat at an incredible company during challenging and exciting times. The art of communications, the technology sector, the world around us, all have gone through massive change and growth, and I feel honored to have been a small part of that. I’ll be here through the end of the calendar year, and the company will be looking at internal and external candidates. The single biggest privilege I’ve had at work is leading the incredibly talented people who make up the global Microsoft communications team, past and present, and the agencies who support us. This team thrives in crisis, they are relentless innovators in the art and science of communication, and they are the best story hunters and tellers in the world – finding the big and small moments that illuminate the soul of the company. To you, my undying gratitude and respect. Keep going. Thank you as well to all the reporters, editors, writers, influencers and analysts who have put up with me over this time, enduring my early and late night calls, my off the record “no comments,” my bad story ideas and my extended commentary on headlines and positioning. You all have incredibly hard and valuable jobs, and while I’ve not agreed with everything said about us 😊 I appreciate you anyway. More to say about next at some point, but today – just thank you. fxs

Yes x 100. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I would also add play the long game. I have seen PR people who only approach reporters when they need an article. Reporters can smell a user from a mile away. Be genuine in all your interactions, especially reporters reject your pitch. Take rejections as signals and a valuable opportunities to learn how to better craft your pitch next time.

Thrilled to join Heather Holst-Knudsen on The Revenue Room™ Podcast and grateful for such a thoughtful conversation about leadership in an era where disruption is no longer an event, it’s the operating environment. Over the course of my career, I’ve had the privilege of helping teams navigate moments when the future wasn’t yet proven — from cable challenging broadcast, to the rise of fandom-driven engagement, to launching Peacock’s ad-supported streaming business with nothing but vision, belief, and extraordinary teams willing to build what didn’t yet exist. One lesson continues to hold true: Transformation doesn’t happen because markets change. It happens because leaders align people around a shared vision of what’s possible. I’m excited to continue this conversation live at RevvedUP 2026, where we’ll talk about how leaders can get comfortable being uncomfortable and thrive through continuous change. Thank you, Heather, for the conversation and for creating a community that brings revenue and growth leaders together in such a meaningful way. 🎧 Listen here: https://lnkd.in/d9v_6D-d

Like lots of my comms friends, I too read Katie Deighton's very interesting story on corporate storytellers in today's The Wall Street Journal. I am all for going direct and telling your own story in a controlled way through your own channels. But I think companies overlook the "earned" media channel at their own peril. There is still an incredible power to independent third-party validation. It's difficult to quantify, which has made it just a bit passé in today's age of analytics and KPIs and OKRs. But as a simplified example, I think about all the holiday shopping I've done: I might learn about a product I'd never heard of before via an Instagram ad or the company's website (owned), but if I go look up that product and it has lousy reviews (earned), I'm not buying. Now scale that up to a complex B2B sales process like a private fund vehicle, where everyone's got a book to sell and there are so many more validation checkpoints along the way. Owned alone is not enough. There is trust in independence. I also think it is short-sighted to only want to tell your own story. The most relevant companies are not only telling their own stories, but are participating in broader dialogues that span their sector, industry, or the whole economy. To be relevant beyond your owned channels, you need to be a point on the map (big or small), and you need to connect yourself to the broader web of your customers'/clients'/stakeholders' understanding. Otherwise your "story" is going to be self-serving babble. My 2 cents -- please read for yourself! https://lnkd.in/eG9NQGfx
