Chris Waters shared thisThe older I get, the more I realize that success isn't really about titles, income, or accomplishments. It's about what we're passing on to the people walking beside us. This picture was taken in Alaska with my son, Sammy. As we walked through those towering trees, I couldn't help but think about the path ahead of him. One day, he'll have to forge his own way in this world. He'll face setbacks, difficult decisions, and moments where he'll wonder if he's capable of more. I work hard because I want him to know that meaningful things are worth the effort. I want him to see that character matters. That keeping your word matters. That showing up when you're tired matters. That taking risks, failing, and getting back up matters. Most of all, I want him to understand that success isn't something you chase it's something you build through the way you live your life and serve others. My greatest hope isn't that he'll become successful by someone else's definition. It's that he'll become a good man who finds meaning and purpose in the life he creates for himself. If I can teach him to remain curious, stay humble, work hard, and have the courage to walk his own path, then I'll consider my life's work a success. After all, our children aren't following our advice nearly as much as they're following our example. This is why I work hard. #Fatherhood #Leadership #Purpose

Chris Waters shared thisHere is a look at some of the books I have been reading in bits and pieces. The one book that really stood out from the rest was Dan Sullivan’s 10x is easier than 2x. I think some of the ideas from Dan Sullivan’s “10x Is Easier Than 2x” are valuable. Especially the concept that real growth often requires doing different things, not just more things. But I also think parts of modern entrepreneurial culture can become too extreme. Not every meaningful life requires abandoning relationships, stability, or balance in pursuit of endless optimization. For me, the real goal is building a business that supports life; not a business that consumes it. Sometimes “10x” is actually: • fewer but better clients • deeper relationships • more focus • better systems • less chaos • more freedom Growth without losing yourself is still growth.

Chris Waters shared thisGreat first day at the PILMMA Super Summit. San Antonio has been good to us. We've had really solid conversations at the Razor Rank, LLC booth about SEO, Google Ads, website design, local search, and Full Circle Attribution. Law firms are clearly looking for more accountability from their marketing partners, and that's exactly what we're built to deliver. Still plenty of conference left. Come find us, and come to Andrew Orlander's session on Google Ads for law firms on Friday morning at 11:30. #PILMMA #DigitalMarketing #PPC #LawFirmMarketing

Chris Waters shared thisOne week until the PILMMA Super Summit and I'm looking forward to seeing the law firm marketing community in San Antonio. Come visit Razor Rank, LLC at Booth 31. We'll be talking SEO, Google Ads, website design, local search, video production, and Full Circle Attribution - our platform that shows firms exactly which keywords and campaigns are driving signed cases. #PILMMA attendees get a free Google Ads evaluation at the booth, plus 50% off FCA initial setup. We'll also have premium whiskey tastings and a bottle giveaway. Reason enough to stop by. Hope to see you there! #DigitalMarketing #PPC #GoogleAds

Chris Waters reposted thisChris Waters reposted thisI'm speaking at PILMMA Super Summit this year. My session: Dramatically Improve Your Google Ads Results with Full Circle Attribution. Here's the short version of what I'll be covering: Most law firms aren't using Google Ads to its full potential, and they're missing out. A lead that doesn't sign is worth zero. When your ad platform doesn't know which keywords produced signed cases, it keeps spending on the ones that don't. Full Circle Attribution closes that loop, and the results speak for themselves. Firms using FCA are seeing dramatically lower cost per signed case and scaling with confidence. More on this all week. If you'll be at #PILMMA, come find me! #PILMMA #GoogleAds #PPC #DigitalMarketing #LawFirmMarketing

Chris Waters shared thisWorking with friends can be one of the most rewarding parts of business. I’ve recently had the opportunity to get together with Mark Vroman of Garrison Financial — a friend from high school and a trusted financial professional. It’s a reminder that strong relationships, built on trust and respect, can create real value years down the line.

Chris Waters liked thisExtremely proud of Gain's continued commitment to people with Parkinson's and to advancing the rexaceract program. To date there are no disease-modifying therapies for PD and we hope to change this by addressing the underlying biology of PD.Chris Waters liked thisWe’re pleased to share new Phase 1b open-label extension data for rexaceract, providing further evidence of its potential disease-modifying activity in Parkinson’s disease. After 12 months of daily oral administration: -MDS-UPDRS motor scores remained stable relative to baseline, with no disease progression observed among the 12 evaluable participants who completed 12 months of treatment by August 31, 2026. -Participants with both high and low baseline levels of GluSph experienced stabilization of MDS-UPDRS motor scores through 12 months. -Rexaceract continued to demonstrate a favorable tolerability profile, with no significant safety signals observed in the Phase 1b study. These findings add to the growing body of evidence supporting the potential of rexaceract as a disease-modifying therapy and reinforce the importance of continued research into treatments that may address the underlying biology of Parkinson’s disease. Chris Waters reacted on thisChris Waters reacted on thisBefore working in tech, my career was in education, teaching math. Working with hundreds of university undergraduates and high school students, I noticed something interesting. Many of them would do whatever they could to avoid the topic. Math seemed to have some uncanny grip on them that presented as fear, anxiety, or overwhelm. For some students, those emotions showed up in the class before the math even started. Early on as a new teacher, I found this puzzling. Why were my students shutting down before the lesson even began? Truth is, at some level, I already knew why. I had my own negative experiences and associations with math, which led to me being at the bottom of my class from middle school through early high school. Now fast forward ten years, and I was the one teaching math at a university. How did that happen? It started when I finally met a math teacher who inspired me. Someone who saw my potential, refused to accept excuses, and set a standard for me that I wanted to reach. That was the moment I started to shift the belief that "math isn't for me," and from there, my interest in math (and physics) grew deeper and deeper. And eventually, it led me to want to help others discover their own fascination with the language of numbers and the opportunities it could afford them. Why is any of this relevant now? Because I'm returning to my roots in education and launching a company called Third Mind Learning I'm doing this because I know what it does to a young person's confidence when they encounter a challenge that seems difficult or even scary to them, while they see their peers breeze through it. That was me 20 years ago. I was lucky to get through it with the support of mentors and caring teachers, but too many young people never learn to overcome the fear of math that often formed when they were little. And as they get older, the stakes rise. Anxiety becomes an even bigger issue as tests like the SAT and ACT come due. Tests, they're told, that will have a disproportionate influence on the direction of their future. That's why I'm running a program to help anxious teens prep for the SAT and overcome their nerves, so they can perform at their best on these high-stakes tests when it matters most. If you're a parent with a kid in high school who's dealing with the stress of test taking or math anxiety, I want to chat with you. And if you're someone who has dealt with negative emotions around math or testing in your own journey, I'm curious: how did you outgrow them?

Chris Waters liked thisChris Waters liked thisCheck out my new piece in Above the Law - "Why 'We Only Use AI for Marketing' Is Still a Bar Complaint Waiting to Happen." Here's the logic I hear from firms regularly: AI is dangerous in court filings because a judge checks your work, but marketing is a safe place to experiment. Run it on the website. Let it draft the bios. That assumption is the risk. ABA Model Rule 7.1 doesn't carve out an exception for the marketing department - because at most firms, there isn't one. There's just the lawyer whose name is on the page. A blog post, a bio, a practice area page - they're all "communications about a lawyer's services" under the rule, same as a brief. And here's the part that should actually worry you: litigation is the setting with the most error correction, not the least. Opposing counsel is paid to find your mistakes. A judge reads your filing. Nobody reviews your homepage. A fabricated $2.3M verdict or a board certification you never earned can sit on a page for months, indexed by Google, before anyone notices, and by then it's not just a bar complaint. No attorney has been publicly disciplined for AI-generated marketing content yet. That's not evidence it's safe - it's evidence the cases haven't caught up to the practice yet. I break down the rule, the exposure, and what "independent verification" actually needs to look like before this stuff goes live. Link in comments

📺⚡The playing field for streaming TV advertising has leveled. What was once out of reach for SMBs — premium CTV inventory, sophisticated targeting, and outcomes-based measurement — is now fully accessible. Local and regional advertisers today can use the same tools, data, and performance insights as national brands. Our Peter Jones breaks it down on #InsiderInterviews with E.B. Moss: "For local advertisers willing to embrace these tools, set clear goals, and measure real outcomes, the opportunity has never been bigger. The playing field has been leveled. Now it's about who's willing to adapt." #CTV #SMB #LocalAdvertising 🎙️ Catch the full podcast interview and recap here: https://lnkd.in/edcTK77A
